TRANSCRIPT:

I am excited; when I arrived, the Spirit of the Lord immediately took me to a certain realm. I do not fully understand it, but I believe God is a great God, is He not? And He has something wonderful for us. I want us all to be ready to receive what He has. I am not going to deliver a full sermon today; I am only going to share a few thoughts with you.

What I receive today is from my brother and our friend. Please stay to hear him first. I am, however, going to speak at another place. So, I have his permission to share some thoughts with you before I leave. My prayer is that you will receive him. If so, please clap for him now.

Praise the Lord. Service to God. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives, and we shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Let me thank you all for your patience and endurance, and your faith in the teaching and mission of the Ghana Evangelical Society.

Thank you all for coming to this annual gathering of the GES family. I am surprised that the room was more full yesterday morning than it is today. Many people are not in residence. Because we are on a mission, they may come during the course of the morning or in the evening. But this explains why the Lord was asking the question yesterday.

I hope we will deal with it when we return to our various sessions. Amen. You were a faithful host yesterday. You are people with a willing spirit, heart, and mind, and as the Lord described you, courageous enough. You put your trust in the Lord. You fully identify yourselves with the ministry of the Ghana Evangelical Society. In these times of difficulties, you still stand by the years. God bless you all.

This has been a time of special blessings. Yesterday we were told that this year’s Easter gathering is a mission, and not a usual house gathering intended to edify us.

When we go on missions, we usually take a few select teams with us; the whole house does not go. But on this occasion, the whole house is present to witness the ministry in mission. You all saw the nature and dimensions of the mission we engaged in on the crusade grounds last night. Now you understand why the Lord was asking the question: “Where are your weapons?” We trust that yesterday in the afternoon, and particularly in the night, you had time to revisit your own personal callings, your ministries, and the weapons that God gave to you for those ministries or callings.

Especially last night. I told you to use the time and opportunity here to meet the Lord one-on-one even as we share fellowship together. Amen.

It is imperative that you do so since there will not be the usual ministrations preparing and equipping you for service. We are in battlegrounds, and you must put on your battle array.

This morning, we have a blessed brother, Reverend Emmanuel Abamfuatimu, a lecturer here in this ivory tower we discussed yesterday. He is a core member, core at heart, of the Ghana Evangelical Society. When he comes, he will tell his own story, and I believe you will listen to him.

Listen to him as he places us on this Legon Hill with spiritual insight in an academic gown. Because of this, the Lord has asked me to revisit the issue of the GES ministry once again before I leave. What I intended to discuss today, the Lord has asked me to put aside and share with you again the ministry of the society.

I shall share with you the Spirit of GES which we mentioned yesterday. We are also aware of the various commissions and the way GES operates. For the purpose of this morning, I want us to visit Psalm 48. We want to actually try to go through that scripture and see whether we can fit in the GES vision and ministry. The first three verses go as follows: “Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of His holiness. Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth is Mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King. God is known in her palaces for a refuge.”

The Ghana Evangelical Society is a special ministry called or commissioned by the Lord, not only to build a church, but also to build a nation. The vision is to make this nation a nation of peace, a Christian nation for God to come and make His abode among men and to use this nation for the redemption of Africa.

In the course of this mission of Ghana becoming such an instrument and a star in Africa’s emancipation, liberation, reconciliation, redemption, and restoration of glory the Church is central and the core issue or the Army of the Lord in bringing all these things about. For GES and God, Himself, the Church should be the Nation, and the Nation should be the Church. Thus, there is no distinction between the Asafo (Church/Army) and the Oman (Nation/State).

Praise the Lord. Everywhere Ghanaians go, they should be seen as children of God. He may not be a worshipper of God as such, but the value system, the lifestyle, and the character of the Ghanaian must be such that he behaves and looks like a Christian because the Christian ethics, value system, and the knowledge and fear of God would have permeated society such that the upbringing of our people and our children would be according to the dynamics of divine revelation and the scriptures.

The identity of the nation is the Church, and the Church is the place from where God will direct the nation. Therefore, God is known in the palaces even in the places where decisions are made in the country and the Church has become a refuge, and the nation is a refuge. Hallelujah.

Every home in Ghana must express and be an expression of the divine hand upon our country. God is known in the household; that is, God is known in her palaces, the households in Ghana, for a refuge for love. Then we go to verse 8 to 11.

“As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it forever. We have thought of thy loving kindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple. According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the end of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness. Let Mount Zion rejoice; Let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.”

God wants to build a nation after Himself, and the Church is the focal point or the place from where God will do these things. Thus, the nation will be built according to the teachings and directions of the Church. The present state of our nation is the result of the church in Ghana, and particularly, I can say to the glory of God, it is the result of Jesus at work.

You have been with us throughout the years and have seen the areas in which we have fought and traveled to make the nation what it is today. You see the loving kindness of our God towards our nation. There are many nations like us, and there are many churches in many nations.

But why Ghana? We tried to answer that question the other day: “Why Ghana?” When we were launching the book, The Ghana Redemption Story, I told you the question. The question in the spirit and the question in the flesh is: “Why Ghana?” God has shown a special loving kindness towards our country, and this loving kindness of God is expressed in the midst of the temple (the church), where God gives direction to issues in the nation.

This morning, for example, I had nothing planned, but the Lord was telling me about the energy crisis in the nation. He is going to solve it. The problem will stop just now, after the rain comes. But the core issue with the nation is the maintenance and management of the energy in the country. The maintenance of the machines and the management of the operation are the core issues. It is not just rainfall, but maintenance and management. He wants me to discuss that and put it before the nation.

God wants to intervene. So, right from the Church, God is giving not only liberation but also direction. I remember one of the brethren came and told me it was last year August that the Lord started talking to him on the energy crisis. We took him to Akosombo Dam in the spirit and showed him how they had neglected the machines. So, the problem is not rainfall. It is the Ghanaian’s attitude to work. One machine fails; they neglect it and move on. Once there is another one, they say, “Let’s use it.” That is the Ghanaian attitude. So now there is a crisis. Praise the Lord.

When there is a crisis, they want to blame one another and fight over issues on political platforms. You and I have seen the accomplishments of God in our nation over these years. Two years ago, we celebrated Mission Accomplished, and you know what God has done.

From the beginning till today, whatever the coups, we have been able to stop coups. We have done many things to make sure that Ghana is stable. Wars have stopped. Praise the Lord. Why do you not clap for Jesus? Hallelujah. Amen.

I am saying that these things have happened from the Church. The Church has been the place that God comes to for our country. His knowledge of events and the trends in the country—He discusses it with His people and tells them what to do to arrest these things and put them in order. I was telling people the other day when I was asked that question, and a lady called me the other day.

This was after former President Rawlings had made a statement about coups and so on. Just about two days ago, somebody very close to authority called me and wanted to know my opinion. When the man made a statement, immediately state machinery, security, and everything are on alert. “What do we do with the man’s statement?” Then somebody decided, “Let’s go and call Agbozo and see what he says.”

Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. I saw a number, a very peculiar number, on my phone. I called back. They asked, “Are you?” I said, “Somebody called my number.” “Oh, is it a lady?” “Oh, it’s a lady.”

A woman came on the line. I know this particular lady; she calls in times of crisis. I have never met her before; I have never seen the woman face-to-face before. When there are national crises, and they do not know what to do, she calls me.

I told her a few things I was going to tell them. Who she is going to tell, I do not know. But I am going to tell them.

It is God. It is God who has kept this nation, and it is God that is keeping the nation. Hallelujah.

So, Verse 12 to 13: “Walk about Zion and go round about her: tell the towers thereof. Mark ye well, her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell it to the generations following. Mark, walk about.”

If we are rejoicing today and Ghana is celebrating its Jubilee. Those of you who are not in Accra do not know what I am saying. But in the Jubilee year, I heard churches saying they were coming together to pray for the redemption of our country.

Praise the Lord. They are organizing prayer meetings, special prayer meetings. When we are talking about Jubilee, liberty has already come. Now that God has done that thing, we want to thank God for what He has done. It is now that people are waking up from sleep. The truth is, if you invited them to such meetings earlier, they would not come.

But now that there is the Jubilee year and the nation is rejoicing, they are in the forefront of the celebration. This is because they are the authorities that authorities know. And they are the ones who will make noise so that people will know that they love their country and are in power.

Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. That is where you must be very, very—I will not say proud—but you should be thankful for the grace upon your life.

“Walk about.” Look at the Church in Ghana. Look at the Church.

Yesterday, the Lord was telling me—today I will discuss a few things on the ground. The Lord was telling me, “My son, don’t be disappointed. If you see the state of the church today, don’t be disappointed and say you have labored in vain.”

No, you have not labored in vain. Look at how the Church is going today. It looks as if there is no Church. It looks as if the truth of the gospel is no longer there. The gatherings are not for Christ. And you are saying that you want the nation to be a Christian nation?

The people say, “Yes, we are Christians.” Yes, everything looks that way, yet they are not Christians. They are not behaving like Christians. The Lord was telling me, “My son, don’t worry, you have not labored in vain.” Yesterday, you must walk about the ministry and consider what God has used this ministry to do over the years.

Go around about it. See the Church. Somebody called me this morning, or rather I saw somebody who was on the grounds, and I called. I wanted to know a few points, how they saw it.

He said, “Oh, there was one young girl in the team. She said, ‘Ah, this old man is still preaching like that.'” Then the other one said, “The young lady, another young girl what I liked was that the girls who were singing had covered their heads.”

Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. You go to churches where they do not do that. They just gather in a house.

Somebody was watching the singers yesterday. “What about them? The girls, the young women had covered their heads.” Many of them will not come to this church because they will be asked to cover their heads. While you are ministering there, people are watching the way you dance on the platform.

This is a different church. This is a different group. The message is different. Praise the Lord.

Hallelujah. You do not know what God is using you for. You are making a spiritual statement. You are making a statement that the truth of the gospel has not been totally lost to the country. The divine revelation and injunctions are still upheld; there are people who are faithful. Somebody has prayed this morning; the Lord was telling him, “Yesterday, people have been asking all kinds of questions, and yesterday you answered all their questions.”

They are confused about the Church. There are people outside who, seeing the state of the Church, wonder, “If this is the Church, if this is what they said Ghana should be—a Christian nation—how can this be?” They do not have any confidence. So, they cannot support any movement to declare Ghana a Christian nation because of this kind of church.

If Ghana is a Christian nation, and this is how they behave, what is the difference between them and other people? If Ghana is going to be an example to Africa, is that what we are going to show to Africa? God told me that I should not blame them when they begin to compare Ghana with Africa or Ghana with Asia because the Asians are not Christian, but they are doing better. They have good reasons to say that, but we must have good reasons why we must remain a Christian nation. We must have a good reason, and we must give an example.

This is not by the streets and buildings, but by our spiritual standing, our character, our behavior, and the organization of Africa. So, God has hope in you. He can say, “I know.”

Satan says, “I have gone round and round, and I have tried all.” [God replies:] “Have you considered whom? Have you been to Jesus? Jesus.” You are not just a remnant.

You are a star. Yesterday morning the Lord told me, “When you go there, I will prove to you that I am God, and I reign in the affairs of men.” “I will prove to those who will hear, including yourselves, that I am God.”

When we were going, I was asking people and trying to call people to find out their impressions about what God did. The Lord was telling me this morning, “I know I have to contend with you. You don’t trust me.”

He said, “The things that you spoke, did you rehearse them? Did you write them down and rehearse how you are going to do it, or when you went there, I spoke to you?” I am talking about Jesus in mission. The Lord was telling me that when I was ministering, He saw a big moon on me, and I said, “It is not a moon; it is the glory of the Lord.”

If you see Jesus, you will see an aura around Him, and I said, “It is not a moon.” But yes, I have seen it before. There was a man of God preaching somewhere, and people were speaking all kinds of things against him, and they spoke a lot about him. I was going to be the guest speaker.

No, I was the champion, and I had to make sure, “Who is this man?” So I asked the Lord, “Who is this man?” Right then He was still by me, and the Lord showed me a big moon, and from that day onwards, I will never say anything against him. I will not listen to what people say. The Lord said, “That is my servant.”

Praise the Lord. Somebody tells me when you go to Jesus, everything is unique and different.

People are waiting to see how you are going to do it. Brother is coming. I went to a church, and I think I told you before, the choir had decided that they would sing a particular song.

I was the guest speaker, and the choir had learned a song they wanted to sing, but they were not sure whether the song was acceptable. So, they decided, “Since Brother Enoch is the guest speaker, let’s go and sing and see whether he will say something about it.” If he does not say anything about it, then it is okay.

So, I stood up and commended them for the music. But I said, “This music is not good for the church.” Praise the Lord.

After I finished, the choir director came to give a testimony. They had decided to come and sing it to see whether I would accept it or not. If I accepted it, then it would be okay. If I did not accept it, then they would not sing it in the church. You see the spiritual test I was facing. There was no notice to me. If I was thinking of my pastors and did not want to offend them, I am a stranger here. I do not have to speak about things.

Meanwhile, the people are looking for directions. They were not asking their pastor to tell them whether the song was correct. They wanted to see Brother Enoch’s comments.

God sent me at that moment to bail them out of their confusion. Their own pastor was there. I had the same experience in Sierra Leone.

I saw many things, and as soon as I got up, I commented on it that “This is not acceptable in the church.” I was a stranger in town, and this was my first time. It was Pentecost Day, and all the churches had met, and there was a kind of spiritual manifestation which was not of the Holy Spirit.

Should I allow that or not? I had a duty to say, “This is not of God.” If I wanted to believe in man and please man, I would not say it. Meanwhile, I would have failed God.

And I would have failed the Church. The pastor was older than me and was sitting on the surrounding one. I saw the surrounding one. The pastor is junior, so he assessed me as his elder brother.

So, what I say is okay. Praise the Lord. But in a foreign country, they are looking for directions. All the churches had met. The pastors were there with all their gifts and their big, huge gowns, and it was Pentecost Day. And there was spirit power from the bush in the church.

When I am speaking here on national issues or Christian trends or trends in the country, some of you disagree. I would have failed them if I had not come. There would be no confusion.

They would be singing that song. Do you think I would have served God properly? Do you think I would have justified my standing as an apostle and a prophet to the Church? That is why He says, “I know if any church, all the churches in Ghana fail me, Jesus, I know you will not fail me.” This is a group that you should be thankful to belong to.

The Triune God is present with us. The Lord has described us as an army. We are chosen vessels. Specialists, sanctified, for big works. We are presenting Jesus Christ.

Yesterday He was saying, “How dare you tell the world, ‘Behold the Lamb of God?'” Look at what God has done in our country. Brethren, I do not want to go over the commissions of the ministry, because you know the rebuilding of the Golden Wall, the God Kingdom Glory Mission, and Jesus Christ II. All this you know.

You know the Mission Accomplished. You know the new church, the new people, and the new nation. You know that God has given Ghana a new name called New Jerusalem. This new standing of Ghana is the result of our mission, based on Isaiah (a completion of years in 1984).

Think of the state of the church today and the state of our country today. Would the church and the nation be where they are today if GES had not come? What would have happened if He had followed everybody else? Love it. Love it.

You must be thankful to God that you belong to such a group. Whatever the Lord told me yesterday in the evening, or rather this morning. And Sister Mary also told me while we were praying yesterday that the Lord told her.

She could not tell me; she was sorry. The Lord told my son, “Do you know what the word ‘purity’ is?” Not ahotie (hot air/pride), but purity.

Who decides what is purity before God? He knows what is pure. He knows what is holiness. He knows what is righteousness. He has established His standard and His measure for knowing purity, holiness, and righteousness.

When you are walking in the pure will of God and doing things according to the bidding of the Lord, men may not even understand. They reject you because their understanding, their ways, and their thoughts are not God’s ways and thoughts.

If you do not want to listen to God and obey His commandments and you want to listen to men and follow men, you will get lost. In my position and your position and I want you to go with me Your position is that many people will get lost because of what you are doing.

Because they are looking up to you. Even if they do not say, “We are looking up to you,” they are actually looking up to you. People are sitting and waiting to see what I will say on an issue.

When I said, “Ghana, come out of Egypt,” the law said the political parties had sent their delegates. The first day message I gave settled all the disputes.

It is not the number of people that are there, but the number of people who must listen, the people who are meant for to hear. Dear ones, we have caused you to rejoice and thank God. This is what I am asked to tell you today.

When we are doing things, you must know that God is the one that is guiding and directing us. You have the wisdom and counsel of men. Verse 14 says, “They are praying and praying and asking for answers,” and you are going to be the person who provides the answer.

So, don’t take it lightly. It is a grace that I did. But are you not happy that God has thought of all people and chosen you? That you belong to G.E.S.?

We have had some lessons over the years with the Sanballats and the Tobiases. They want to obstruct our ministry. We have also had a Judas Iscariot in the society. But the Lord said He was God, and He did not stop Judas Iscariot.

So, whatever happens in the Church, there will be a Judas Iscariot anyway. Praise the Lord.

Hallelujah. A pastor came to me one day when we were having service in the house of worship. The spirit of the Lord was moving.

He saw some signs of death. At that moment, he said, “Brother Enoch, even in your church, do you have these kinds of signs?” I said, “Satan makes sure that while the people of God act, he also would like to praise himself there.” He said that he is one of them.

Praise the Lord. In the wilderness, Satan was able to get there. It is not strange that you have old fellows amongst us.

Satan is going to get people off the focus of the calling. There is always a child of perdition. As we are going, there will be children of perdition in our midst.

God has been purging us as we go. Some are leaving us; some are coming. Some are still there. They know that they are not faithful, but they are there. But that should not deter you from doing what God has called you to do. Remember, you have a mission to fulfill.

Hallelujah. God has called to send you, and He will send you. Recently, GES is being turned into a church.

We are behaving as if we are a church. We are no more. We are not preaching breakthroughs and success stories (like) transfer of wealth.

When we are not preaching these words, then they will not come to church. They will go to another place where they will see miracles and transfer of wealth. That is what they like.

You have even stopped being mission minded. There is no more serious commitment and dedication. Folks are no longer serious and ready to press on for the call by God for ministry.

They will not do it again. We are afraid. We are tired.

Christ from death. Hallelujah.

We had planned to go to Asesewa, but the Spirit of the Lord put it in my heart that it should not be Asesewa again. Because this Jubilee year, He has something to do, and it must be done, and I have to do it. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah.

So, we had to change it, and we are now in Madina. I cannot share everything until we finish. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. So here we are. Maybe people will not come because we are no longer going to Asesewa or Sosanse. Down there, Brother Leonard Cline. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah.

Bless him. Amen. So, people will not come. They are in a crowd; they will not come. They are in Asesewa; they will not come. Because we had intended to go to Asesewa, and we changed their mind.

They have made all the arrangements, and then we put them to shame, so they shall come. When we are hungry, the Lord was telling me yesterday, “Things are difficult in this country. Now you want us to go on mission.” We are not going to speak about anything else; we are going to speak about the Kingdom of God.

Kingdom Glory. Praise the Lord.

But the whole of Africa is waiting for Ghana. “Why did you say Ghana, My son? What do you mean by Africa?” The whole of Africa is waiting for Ghana, and the whole of Ghana is waiting for Jesus. That is the truth of the matter.

He told me this morning, this night, “I am going to make sure that you are the best head of state in Africa.” Hallelujah. Because, you see, of the Christian faith.

Hallelujah. England and Europe have abandoned the faith. America has abandoned the faith. China and Japan are expanding targets. They are not Christian nations.

So, who shall speak for Jesus Christ? And will Africa speak for Christ? Ghanaians will tell you that even the Asian Tigers are making more money, and you say you are a Christian nation, and look at what you are suffering. Praise the Lord. With all the confusion, debate, rivalry, competition, and ideas floating back and forth, who shall speak for Jesus Christ? That is our mission.

“Who shall I send?” My God. If God has found you and me, brethren, the Lord was telling me yesterday, “My son, it is difficult, but I will be with you.” It has been difficult, but God has been with us.

Praise the Lord. Amen. It has been difficult, yes, but God has been with us.

I pray that if you are a branch minister, you will not be tempted to say, “Let’s do our own thing and forget about Accra.” “Forget about the bush.” After all, it is the same Bible.

Brethren, do not think that way. If you are with Jesus, the prophecy in Accra will be the prophecy in Asesewa. When we write a letter, when we are praying, and people are having their minds on us in Accra, there is another theme pressing in for us.

Let me give you a little example. Yesterday the Lord was telling me that the spirits and powers that control the world like to meet at small, secluded places. They do not meet in big places.

They have a small village somewhere in Germany. They do not go to big places. That is where they take their decisions.

The Lord said, “I want you to go to Obawale Agogo and stop a battleground there.” There is a battleground in Obawale Agogo, in the bush. That is where they are meeting to consider Africa and the world. I say Praise the Lord.

One day in Ghana, the Lord took me to Geneva. There was an exhibition of Kwame Nkrumah’s works in Geneva. They were showing. I wanted to see.

These are spiritual things. That is where I saw Nkrumah in the spirit. The Lord said, “Look at what they are saying.”

I was sitting, watching them. There are some people in this country that appear to be big men. They have a meeting in Liberia.

The Lord took me to go and see the kind of worship they have. The Lord said the spirit they are worshipping is called “born again spirit.” They are not created spirits. They have a semblance of Christ. They can speak the language nicely.

But they are not Christians. If you are a member of GES, get connected to these three. Do not try to break them.

Do not break them. God has selected us, and He is moving with us.

At the end of the day, when eternity is eternalized, you will see what My purpose is. I want to encourage you today.

Let the mission that God has given us be clear. Do not slide away from it. That is not striving.

Do not think that we are tired. If you have been devoted to work, God will increase your age and give you strength to do more. Young men and young women.

It is your turn. These old men sitting down here they have done their part. But young men, where are the young men that can stand in the gap today? We cannot find you.

In the program, it will be Elders in Council. They have worked; they have been working for 30 years. They have not retired yet.

Is it not your turn to support them, to take on their management, and refer to them and ask them for guidance? Why should you go back to your colleagues? Are you a member of GES? They said, “Every month we make offerings for missions.” You will not do it.

You will not pay your tithe. You will not do anything. That is why you are sitting down here so beautifully.

Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. Haggai, you are building your houses.

And the temple. And nobody is in the temple. You want your business to prosper.

And you did God’s work. But you have forgotten that it is God that gave you the strength. And He guides you.

Our people, He has chosen you. You do not measure. You do not compare.

There is no business of comparing yourself with another person. That is the biggest challenge. This is the time of renewal of our faith.

And rededication to the GES mission. The Lord is concerned about it. That is why He has chosen you.

I am so grateful that you have been patient and you listened. I know that you are not people who just listen for listening’s sake. I am expecting great results.

But not from Brother Enoch, but from God. The God of Israel. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

The God of Ghana. The God, the Father of Jesus Christ. Jesus, the Savior, the Redeemer.

The coming King, Judge, and Rewarder of all. I plead with you, brother.

It is time to rededicate yourself to Him and the mission that God has placed upon us.
