THEME: THE GLOBAL MARKET AND THE SPIRITUAL-POLITICAL ORDER OF THE BEAST 

CAPITALISM AND SOCIAL ORDER  

Capitalism, as we have observed, started purely as a trade system. Merchants provided finance for tools, equipment, and materials to craftsmen/tradesmen who produced goods for them for sale in distant lands. This pure trade programme expanded with commerce in industrial goods across domestic and foreign markets. With time there arose banks and entrepreneurs on the market and economic scene who brokered capital (finance) for machines, materials, and labor (men).  Capitalism strove from trade and commerce and industry through banking and finance to wield much influence on the lives of peoples and nations, on political and social order in near, far, and distant lands, peace, stability, and security in the land. 

In this regard, it would appear that the merchants and the rich succeeded in getting their foothold in the political arena through the supply of money for war campaigns by kings and rulers. War money, to put it mildly, opened the gates of political, economic, and social order for banks, the merchants, and the wealthy. Through the ‘back door’ of money for war and imperialist territorial ambitions, capitalism developed political and economic wings and subsequently a fully-fledged philosophy for political and economic arrangements, governance, and social order in general. In the end, capitalism has developed a spiritual, philosophical, political, and social order based on money and market. 

Capitalism can be described in this respect, as a spiritual and social system of Satan and man in alliance for the control of the wealth of nations and peoples through the market and finance.  Money has become the ‘Prince of Capitalism,’ acting via government and the market. Whoever controls the money supply, finance, and the market is the god and governor of capitalism and the capitalist state. 

Because of this, nations and people of the world have faced and continue to face serious challenges and dangers to peace, progress, life, security, and life in general. The emergent concentration of wealth, resources, and power in a few and dwindling hands have worsened the situation. Please note that the rise of numbers of millionaires and growing incomes of the middle class does not stop the concentration of wealth and power in nations and the world. They only serve as covering and cushion pads for the extreme and fabulous wealthy few. 

Second, there is undue infiltration, dilution, and pressure in the political arena, legislative agenda, and governance. This is due to the weakening of the hands of politicians through party financing, political patronage, interest groups, lobbying, and cronyism—all of which create a false and absurd legitimacy to corrupt, unrighteous, unjust, and wicked practices. Governance, the administration of justice, economic order and public weal all fall prey to the negative tendencies in capitalism as a spiritual and philosophical system and ideology for ordering and managing political and social order. From the foregoing, it may be seen why we declare that the capitalist system stands in need of a Serious Review if nations and peoples are to be saved from the wicked pretensions and negative influences that have plagued it. 

First, capitalism must be delivered from the dragon-beast control mechanism.  The human race has already been delivered from the Divine wrath and judgement that formed the spiritual anvil for the Satan-Dragon versus Man War.  The Lamb of God has shed His blood for atonement, reconciliation, and redemption of man. There is peace with God. There is forgiveness of sins; there is victory over sin, death, and Satan.  Peace, righteousness, victory, and eternal life constitute the grace and gift of God through Christ to all men. Capitalism, as a human system, can be delivered therefore from the dragon and the controlling spirit of blasphemy with repentance towards God through faith in Jesus Christ, obedience of Scriptures, and godly virtues through acknowledgement and honor in worship, honor, love, and obedience of God the Creator. This will bring peace, righteousness, and Divine mercies to nations and peoples.  

It will also save the market system from the wicked, unrighteous, and unjust conventions and practices with their attendant grave political, economic, and social consequences. Market manipulation legitimized as if it were by ‘profit maximization.’  The vision of peace, happiness, and joy in creativity, production, and human endeavor promoted through buying and selling in the market will be attained. The market will serve its useful open, neutral, righteous, just, and fair role in the lives and affairs of peoples and nations. Christ mission agenda in this respect is Peace, Goodwill, Godly Neighborliness, Righteousness, and Justice not exploitation, oppression, robbery, murder, and war in the name of human service.  

In all, capitalism needs to be delivered from global political and economic arraignments dominated by the ‘ugly faces’ and works of ghostly beings and phantoms in the market and global political and economic arena. It may be necessary to comment here briefly that the Dragon and Beast behind capitalism are the same powers behind the Communist-Socialist system. Both systems accept the manipulation and diversion of the market system to the favor of the controlling powers—whether it be a capitalist wealth-owning class or a politically orchestrated ownership system which merges political and economic decision and market operation in the hands of one group of people—politicians and bureaucrats—executives or technocrats who manage the political, administration, production, supply, and distribution channels. The military and even legislative and judiciary systems tend to be but part of the oppressive and coercive machines of both capitalism and communism, liberalism, and socialism.  

In the typical Marxist-Leninist communist-socialist system, there are almost always One-Party States. This, by definition, breeds and promotes an oligarchy and extreme dictatorial powers far exceeding traditional monarchy.  

The communist system had its power base in the same Dragon set against the ‘seed of the woman’ and, more important still, God and His anointed Christ Jesus. While capitalism came through the sea, merchants, and trade, communism spread through the land—its ownership, the control of agricultural produce, land and crops, and capital needing finance to hold and exploit. 

Thus, in both capitalism and communism, the Dragon controls buying and selling, and the well-being and welfare of peoples and nations. All and sundry bear the mark of the beast. 

“And that no man might buy or sell, save he that hath the mark, or the name of the beast, or number of his name.” (Rev. 13: 17)
