THEME: THE BURDEN OF HISTORY AND THE VERDICT OF HEAVEN 

The election of an African-American President of the United States is a wonderful proposition—a liberating experience and gladdening news. Of course, it should not have created “news.” However, man’s inhumanity to man, the exploitation and abuse of power and privileges, the depth of human depravity and wickedness have all combined to make OBAMA as PRESIDENT an achievement as of itself out of all propositions. 

This has created an environment of disproportional expectations, far beyond the normal scope of politics. It seems the “ghosts” walking the corridors of the White House, the corridors of power and the streets of America and Europe will begin to take stock of events and map out their own reaction and expectations. Generations, yet unborn may not have much at stake though. The broken cisterns of privileges, discrimination, and racism will hopefully take care of things in the future. 

The truth however is that the Obama Government has taken office when it seems Divine wrath is forcing natural forces of retribution to cause the forces of evil, inhumanity, the abuse of power and privileges to roost. For example, while many are blaming greed and the lust of money for the global financial crisis, the Lord God Jehovah places it at the door of the massive concentration of the wealth of the world in few nations, and still few people. 

In this connection, one wonders whether Obama is a victim of a grand conspiracy in US power struggles, whether his coming into power is but part of the fallen glory of USA or whether he is a scapegoat in the face of the challenges of post-Bush America. The truth is that whatever the facts of the case, the Obama government will face very heavy and daunting challenges. The current financial and economic national debt, the gathering storms of recession, the environmental challenges and three frontal wars —Afghanistan, Iraq and Terrorism—coupled with the Middle East imbroglio and unresolved domestic issues, health, education, immigration, and inevitable dwindling incomes, individual, corporate and government, racism, etc. these cannot but create an environment and an atmosphere of uncertainties—a mystery beyond human comprehension and power. 

We are not sure in this regard how much faith, trust, hope and dependence President Obama has developed in God and the Creator, and how much agreement and support he can get from his ministers and the American people as a whole. One may be tempted to ask how much the church, the religious and people of faith in the USA can go with embattled Obama, Congress and Senate, and people of America. We are being brought to a vision about the Obama Government which goes as follows; FAIL at the first count, FAIL at the second count, and EXIT at the third count. 

Perhaps, it might be necessary to mention that the vision we have is essentially a revelation from the Most High God, Jehovah the Creator whom we serve as servant and Minister of Christ. It is worthy to humbly state here that, other revelation or word from the LORD Jesus Christ hitherto, given on the fortunes of USA Presidents, beginning from President Carter to President George W. Bush—have all turned out to be true and exact as related to us. 

For example, the Lord’s word to us that President Carter will emerge as a statesman not withstanding his fall, that President Reagan will raise the dented image of the USA, that plans hatched years earlier against President Clinton will never succeed if President Clinton will keep his faith and trust in Him Jehovah have come to pass as related to us. We also had word about Divine approval and success of the Gulf War and that it will lead to open doors for the Christian faith in the Arab world. 

The reverse was the case of the Iraqi war. That it had no Divine approval. That it will open a can of worms and dent the image of America, raise sensitive against the Christian faith the Islamic world and reverse the advances made in Afghanistan. And Osama Bin Laden will not be found any way. Everything the LORD told us about the George W. Bush administration; his economic policies, and personal standing have come to pass. It was negative throughout. 

We shudder to think therefore about the revelations about President Obama, considering the current state of affairs of the USA, expectations of the Middle Class and blue-collar workers, the oppressed, downtrodden and youth, the black, brown, yellow and white. This only goes to indicate that the Obama presidency has raised new dimensions and new horizons of expectations. As Jesus Christ declared “To whom much is given, much is expected.” 

Can the Obama Government rise to the occasion in handling the complex package of challenges, world, international and domestic, war, economic, and social justice, rising horizons and expectations of millions? There are above all, possibilities of Divine wrath and judgement against sin and blood, wickedness and oppression, crying souls and wailing peoples, and ghosts seeking vengeance. Does America believe in the God of righteousness and justice? What of President Obama himself? 

The FAIL, FAIL EXIT scenario revealed by the Lord looms very high indeed.
