THE FOLLY OF HUMANISM: A WARNING AGAINST GHANA’S MORAL DECAY
THEME: REJECTION OF GOD LEADS TO MORAL DECAY AND NATIONAL CRISIS
Enoch, an apostle-prophet of Jesus Christ by the will of God to the Church, Government, Nation and People of Ghana.
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the LORD Jesus Christ.
There have been many discussions on falling standards, indiscipline and the abandonment of cherished values of conduct by the youth and succeeding generations of the country since the 70’s. The recent debates over the rejection of Religious and Moral Education in the New Educational Reform by no less agencies as the Ghana Education Service (GES) and Ministry of Education (MOE) signify to the underlying factor behind the fallen standards of education, discipline and conduct.
In this connection, the LORD God Almighty would have His servant declare for the information of Church, Government, Nation and People that the basic and fundamental cause of the fallen standards in conduct and life in the world is the rejection of the knowledge of God and respect for authority, values and disciplined conduct that go with it.
Where there is rejection of God, the Knowledge of Him and His Authority in human affairs, not only does discipline break down, the whole concept of authority, and with it obeisance, respect for and submission to values break down. Parents lack authority, knowledge and confidence to pass on values to succeeding generations. In fact, they are challenged by society if they do so.
Accordingly, the youth and succeeding generations have no abiding and lasting values to learn of and observe. Each generation attempts to set up their own standards and values only to be repudiated, rejected and thrown overboard by succeeding generations. Without any abiding values save the fluid, free flowing, non-stable easily repudiated ideas and “values”, the nations of the world, particularly the so-called civilized nations have lost every semblance of knowledge and respect for authority and permanent societal values, save the disdainful and godless. Situational ethics is only an attempt to rationalize the escape from reality.
In this regime, parents have no authority nor right to pass on values and secure obedience from their children. Parental control and responsibility for character formation and conduct management is shared by the Godless State and Media, and Teachers who serve no more than as cheer leaders in a peer-group kingdom. Indeed, the peer-kingdom rule makes children rule homes and run their own affairs before helpless parents.
May we conclude by suggesting that it is no surprising therefore that GES and MOE who must have drunk deep of the waters of humanistic rejection of the Knowledge of God, Authority, Discipline and Permanent Christian social values cannot but reject RME on the grounds of the lack of funds or overloaded curriculum. Humanistic education, it is reported, shifts the human problem from morality and character to technology. It is common knowledge the marked hostility to Christianity and the family in humanism.
In that regime, saith the late Rev. R.J. Rushdoony, “Man instead of being viewed as a creature made in the image of God, is seen as an animal whose sole redeeming quality is his reason. The goal of society and education becomes then the exercise and application of rationality, not the service and enjoyment of God for ever. Man’s goal becomes man himself as the high point of human evolution”
The fundamental issue here is that humanism is presented as the dominant religion. Other religions whether with Trust, Faith and Hope in God the Creator or not must be severely limited, if not set aside.
The modern age of “Each Person is God” and subject to no one, this age of Relativity and Materialism, and of Money is God and Life is in deep crisis with reality. It will lead and has led to moral decay, godlessness and deepened violence.
Ghana cannot afford and must not nurture citizens who will build the nation without the Knowledge and Honor of God and lead the nation with godless notions and lifestyles. Satanic ploys and human pretenses of the self- sufficiency of the individual – without God and without society – cannot be the basis of Hope for the present and future generations. Ghana an oasis is the work of the Hand of God not the rational philosophies and revolutions of men that caused so much pain in the first place. Folks will come from many nations to dwell here because of the practical reality of the knowledge and honor of God, His reign and rule of peace, righteousness, justice and joy in the worship of Him.
To sum up, the LORD would have the Church, Government and People of Ghana remember the salvation of God which brought an end to the pains of the past and launched the nation on a new platform and threshold of peace, quiet and hope in His arms and seek to establish, cherish and maintain a Godly, peaceful, righteous, and just society in the Knowledge, Honor and Glory of Him the Living God.
All religions, philosophies, political and social action that reject the creator and make animals or beasts of man should not be countenanced in the country. Accordingly, education, the socialization processes and the laws, customs and practice of the country must Acknowledge, Honor and Glorify God, cherish and instruct on the knowledge and authority of God in human affairs, moral sanction and social values that will solidify and enhance Ghana as a nation and people holy unto God and of peace, quiet and godliness.
May the omnibus blessings of the Son given, Saviour, Redeemer, Restorer and Hope for Humanity come and rest upon all and be the reality of life in Ghana from now and forever. Amen.
