THEME: DIVINE JUDGMENT AND THE PURGING OF THE NATIONAL ALTAR 

In our article, Lamentation in Ghana, (The Ghanaian Observer, December 24, 2008), we spoke of coming events—a period of lamentation, mourning, and wailing in the country.  

To quote that article,  

“Beulah, the nation married to the Most High God, shall go through a period of mourning because of the lamentation of God over events in the country. According to the LORD, Ghana the chosen land is full of wickedness and wicked people. Says the Lord: “My people have gone the way of the wicked. The people that I love—My beloved ones—have chosen to turn their backs unto I the Lord.”  

The cause of God’s the lamentation is clear. For example, during 2008 General Elections, many people resorted to Satanic and fetish powers, using blood sacrifices, the invocation of demonic forces against opponents, violence, blood and wicked rituals, charms and sorcery. Unrighteousness, dishonest and wicked devices were employed to win votes, dislodge opponents, and manipulate public opinion, people’s reputation and people’s convictions as to candidates, parties and the good of the land. 

Furthermore, individuals visited shrines, consulted and slaughtered animals to idols to “bury” their opponents and employed other satanic and human wicked devices, all to gain advantage and power. What this means is that people were coerced by spiritual means, open threats, and curses to vote against their own convictions, persuasions, affiliations, and preferences. This is unrighteous and wicked. It makes nonsense of claims of the people’s right and power to elect their representatives and establish government after their hearts, convictions and persuasions before God, such conduct or modus operandi in politics and life is not just corruption, unrighteousness, and wickedness. They are manipulations that constitute robbery. They make nonsense of delegated authority, public trust, and public accountability on the part of the elected. It is that pretense, hypocrisy, nonsense and wickedness that has made nonsense of and diminishes the beauty and confidence in electoral victory, party manifesto and people’s power, and above all God’s delegated authority and power for the reign, rule, and governance of nations. As the Scripture says:  “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” (Proverbs 14: 34)  

These are the forces that have dictated political and cultural practices, the violent and wicked works of darkness and war economies, backwardness, poverty and economic stagnation, superstition and cultural darkness, political instability, and social desolation prevalent in Africa for generations. It is from this unfortunate state of affairs, that the Almighty God in His mercy has delivered Ghana to make her a model redeemed godly nation and people, and Star of Africa.  

Unfortunately, the wicked in Ghana are desperate to defy God and turn the nation back to the old, wicked ways, and dark days of satanic and human manipulation, violence, and coercion, stagnation and death, desolation and hopelessness. But GOD WILL NOT LET GHANA GO! Despite these efforts, the 2008 elections ended peacefully. The wicked could not turn back the clock, and they shall not succeed, regardless of how fierce or yielding they may be. 

Because of the spiritual manipulation and wickedness and inevitable political and social tension, the nation must undergo Spiritual Purging and the fury and rage of God for the rejection of God’s election and grace upon the country on one part and for the wickedness, man’s inhumanity to man and disloyalty against nation and people on the other. The “New Ghana” cannot breed, sponsor, and take pride in Satan, idolatry, blood rituals, violence, and wickedness, dishonesty, lies, unrighteousness, and wicked works. Man’s inhumanity to man shall not and must not be allowed to form the basis of politics, governance, and social enterprise. The “Cain character” and the “pull-me-down” syndrome have their negative influence and repercussions on life and nation. No man, no people, no nation can shed innocent blood and go scot-free. The time of divine lamentation has come. The accidents, fires, burnings, and deaths and other acts of God yet to appear are part of the package of God’s fury and rage, the purging and disavowal of unrighteousness, the wicked, and wickedness in the land. 

Let us end by assuring the nation and people that the Divine fury and rage and its accompanying pain, mourning, and wailing does not mean that God has abandoned us. Instead, Jehovah, the God of Ghana is affirming His election, choosing, redemption, marriage, to this country. God the Creator is the GOD OF GHANA. He remains so. His reign is forever established. Satan and wicked men will never prosper here, thus says the LORD. God will reign and rule forever and ever. Amen!!  

Once again, may Ghana learn to quit herself well, and forsake wickedness and the evil ways of men and evil spirits. Ghana is free and free forever—enemies, detractors and saboteurs notwithstanding.
