EASTER PRAYER FOR GHANA—O GOD, SAVE GHANA!

Series:

THEME: A DIVINE MANDATE FOR NATIONAL SALVATION

We bring you Easter greetings of Peace, Life, and Joy—the remission of sin, redemption, victory, and hope in Jesus Christ: Saviour and Redeemer, Lord and King.

People of Ghana, it’s time to come together as a people and a nation to cry unto Jehovah God for the salvation of the country, lest we perish from the conflagration of smoldering political fires on the verge of erupting into Divine wrath and judgement.

As declared by the Most High God, Ghana at 56 is a nation and people mourning, weeping, and crying for salvation. Thus says the Lord: Ghana is noted in heaven as a nation CRYING UNTO GOD for SALVATION.”  The Most High has accordingly directed His Church and people of Ghana to CRY UNTO HIM TO SAVE THE NATION.

Because of this, we are taking liberty—as a Servant of the Most High God—to humbly implore the Church in Ghana, all people of faith and hope in God, and all citizens of the country to take advantage of the Easter Season to join together as a nation and a people, to cry unto God for the salvation of the country.

We suggest a simple prayer of faith, O GOD SAVE GHANA by everyone at church, at chiefs and peoples durbars, community and family gatherings, youth rallies and social gatherings everywhere around the country during the Easter season.  People must find and provide adequate time for intensive and sincere prayer crying; “O GOD SAVE GHANA”—for the country.  We are fully persuaded that God will hear our cry and save the country.  In any case, this is His own direction and promise to His beloved nation and people.

May we seize this opportunity to humbly appeal to the Armed Forces and the Security agencies of the country as a whole to be on the alert to stand for and defend the integrity, unity, and standing of the country as a Star Peaceful Democratic Nation and People of God in Africa. They should be on the alert to prevent political adventurism, state-cum government terrorism and citizen harassment, the protection of life as well as violent and bloody pursuit and settlement of disputes.

The Armed Forces, the Police, and the Security Agencies of the country are state institutions placed at the command of the Head of State and the Executive for the protection, promotion, and defense of peace, life, liberty, and well-being of people, the defense of the nation and people.

It is not inconceivable, in this respect, that the Armed Forces, Police, and Security agencies can be enlisted, commandeered, and utilized to serve the personal interest of President John Mahama, his administration and political party, the NDC in the face of the challenges facing Mr. John D. Mahama, NDC Election 2012 Presidential Candidate.

We humbly submit that though Mr. John D. Mahama stands duly elected as per the Electoral Commission and sworn in accordingly, there is yet legal and moral obligations that should advise clear distinction between NDC Presidential candidate John D. Mahama and President John Mahama.  We are of the humble opinion that there will be abuse of office and public trust if President Mahama will use national, state, and government resources to pursue and prosecute his personal and political party obligations.

We do not think the distinction will be difficult for the noble gentleman, political party leader, presidential candidate, and President imbued with duty, honesty, and righteousness, passion and integrity, faithful and loyal to the progress of the nation. “God Save Ghana” is a cry that we believe President Mahama will deem necessary, aspire to and indeed join in.  There is much evidence, not excluding government support for religious pilgrimage to show that President Mahama will most likely join in crying to God for mourning and weeping Ghana at 56 saying, O GOD SAVE THE NATION.

We want to believe in this respect that President Mahama will not be tempted whether in defeat or victory to show where power lies. In like manner, we humbly appeal to the NPP Presidential candidate, his running mate, and chairman of the NPP to also join in to pray for God to save the country. We also appeal that whether in defeat or victory the Presidential candidates will keep faith with God, nation, and people of Ghana so not to pull down to shame and destruction the gains with peaceful democratic and blessed nation and people of Ghana.

May God save Ghana!  May He give Ghana humble, honest, righteous, and illustrious leaders, who love country and people and will genuinely and truly seek, pray, and work for the peace, progress, prosperity, and good of nation and people, not the ambitious, inordinate and roguish pursuit of power, gain, and vain glory, rampant in Africa and many parts of the world.

We have hope this will be so.  So, let it be O God, Amen!
