THEME: COVENANT SOVEREIGNTY AND THE MANDATE FOR SPIRITUAL VIGILANCE 

Blessed people of Ghana, we thank the Most High God for the remembrance of His mercies towards our country and for the true worship, love, and trust in God the Creator. We Bless the Lord for the open acknowledgement and testimony about the love, faith, and hope in Jesus Christ— Son of the Living God, our Reconciler, Savior, Redeemer and Restorer, King and Lord, and soon -coming judge. 

The reconciliation of our country with God through faith in Jesus Christ preached by the Church has created a state and atmosphere of peace and tranquility, righteousness, joy, and hope in Ghana. There has arisen thereby open broad uninhibited confession and acknowledgement of love, faith, and hope in Jesus Christ the King of glory as Prince of Peace and the ruling Spirit Power and hope of Ghana by a vast majority of the people of the country. Even the central government and legislature as representatives of the people have accepted and do acknowledge this. 

Indeed, the Church in Ghana has been confident, bold, and courageous in asserting the country’s victory and hope in Jesus Christ, exalting His name and glorifying Him everywhere. This has opened a heavenly door of Divine mercy, providence, and blessings upon the country, making Ghana truly a nation and people of God. Ghana has accordingly risen and is shining as a country of peace, righteousness, and governance in the knowledge of God the Creator in the whole world and not Africa alone. Blessed indeed is the nation whose God is Jehovah. There is much work in this direction. But Ghana is nonetheless a star nation of God. 

We are taking liberty of the medium of this article to thank and pray heavenly blessings upon all the faithful ministers and true witnesses of Jesus Christ and worshippers of God in the land. It is their obedience and good works, righteous, faithful, and acceptable conduct in the knowledge of God that have helped to confirm and consolidate Ghana’s position and standing as A Chosen Nation and People Sought Out, Redeemed and Made Holy unto God. Hallelujah! 

Ghana, Beulah Land is where God the Father and His Christ have brought our beloved country. This is the open confession and testimony of the Ghana Evangelical Society (GES) in particular and the Church body in Ghana at large. For example, in spite of the hidden works of darkness, blood sacrifices, etc. no political party can stand in Ghana and openly deny Christ, the Faith, and the Church. Ghana stands now as a bright and star nation that belongs to God the Creator. Hallelujah!!!  There is no gainsaying in this direction that God has been extremely merciful unto our country. It is time therefore, that the Church, Government and People of Ghana understand this and seek, cherish, honor, and maintain the trust, faith, love, and hope in God and the consequent peace, righteousness,  faithfulness, and Justice that mark and will mark Ghana out as chosen nation and star God Kingdom Glory state in the world.  

To be sure, the enemy of God, Church, and country is at his worst, in an attempt to break the trust, defense, and security of Ghana as people of God and godly nation. The works of idolatry, Satan worship, blood sacrifices, witchcraft, and sorcery, the case of deliberated violent disruption of the peace, serenity and progress of towns, tribes and peoples of the country is clear evidence that there are enemies in the land. And therefore, church, government and people need to be diligent,  determined and vigilant in trust and unity in God and hope in the defense and security of the country. The Bible has clearly revealed in this regard that it is the enemy that works out wicked devices to cause strife and war, to break solidarity, unity, and sanity in society. They that know our God cannot be deceived nor dismayed by the works of darkness. 

We humbly beseech the chiefs and people of Ghana therefore not only to believe in, honor, respect, and observe law and order in the land but also to support the Church and Government, the security agencies and loyal and peaceful citizens engaged in the establishment, promotion, protection, and defense of the peace, tranquility, and security of the nation. We must do this in the knowledge of God. God save Ghana if our chiefs and security agencies become instruments of oppression, violence, brutality and war.  

In like manner, we appeal to ministers and saints of the Church in particular, traditional fetish priests and citizens of the land in general to desist from the consultation, invocation, and promotion of the powers and counsel of Satan, spirits, and powers for private or public interest. This is abomination!  

The price for blood sacrifices, the blood of men, women and children, animals and birds, and the invocation of the Satanic powers of gods and deities, and wicked men is the provocation of the wrath and judgement of God upon the country, the frustration of peace and quiet in the land, and the retardation of progress and prosperity of peoples and nation as a whole. Any acts of dislocation and disruption, the violation of rights, liberties, and dignity of people, and also of works of violence, destruction and death are by definition Acts of War against God and country. This also is abomination. It stands loud and clear against God and the peace, progress and destiny of nation and people, present and future generations. (Psalm 106: 34-43) 

We beseech the Christian community and all worshippers of the True and Living God in the land to rise up as one people against satanism, corruption and nihilism. It must be said here in passing that there are many in the Church for example that are preaching, teaching, and practicing perverse and provocative humanistic ideas and theology, doctrines of devils and men, the lust and worship of money. These also are enemies of God and Christ, and therefore people and nation. 

We have confidence nevertheless that because of the never-failing faithful hand of God, Ghana will overcome the works of Satan and enemies of God and country as well as the negative forces now rampant, ruining many lives and many nations in the world. The God of Ghana will prevail against His enemies and the enemies of the country. (Psalm 106: 44-48; 46: 8-11) 

Indeed, the Lord has declared that He will hold and would not let Ghana go. So says the Lord Most High; “………know that I am God and I rule in Ghana. I direct the affairs of Ghana, and I have lifted Ghana up. Therefore, Ghana is high above all other nations. They do not understand and ask why such a small nation with its small population should shine in this manner……. This is My doing. I will continue to lift Ghana up, but I will deal bitterly with the evil and wicked ones. I have determined that My nation will prosper, progress and shine more than the stars. For I have established Ghana. I have set Ghana up and there is no power, there is no spirit that can take Ghana from Me.” 

This is gladdening but challenging news. For it demands knowledge, understanding, and vigilance on the part of Church and people, Government and nation to stand by the Truth, Love, Faith, and Hope in the Most High God. We must raise the Hand of God for His standard against the floods of evil and darkness in the land. 

This brings us to the Church and family, ministers, gospel workers and well-wishers who participated in the recent Celebration of Church, Country, and the service of God held in Accra, this November. We seize this opportunity to thank all who joined the GES fraternity and the larger church family for the celebration. It was a blessed and glorious time with the Lord. The celebration ignited the redemption, resurrection and glory of the Christian Faith, Church and Country. Glory to God in the highest.  Hallelujah! Amen and Amen! 

May God continue to find faithful people who will trust, love, and sacrifice their all in the service of Christ, Church, Country and People in their generations. Amen! 

Finally, we can see Ghana rising into heights and glory, unimaginable glory such as only God can bless a people with. We can also see Germany rising above all the nations in Europe, Britain included. Ghana and Germany will soon form a union that will in turn unite Europe and Africa in a new world order of Christ Kingdom Glory in the nations.
