TITLE: THE LOVE OF GOD

SYNOPSIS: The whole of the Christian faith is based on God’s love and to
demonstrate His love for us, He (God) left His glory behind and became a
human being.

John 3 verse16
Praise the Lord. I salute you in the name of Jesus Christ. Father, we thank you
for this holy moment of truth. We bless you for your grace upon our lives. We
pray that we’ll be able to discharge all the onerous duties you place on us, that
we can fulfill our destiny in the time set apart for us. In Jesus’ name we pray.
Amen.
First, we bring you greetings from South Africa. We had a wonderful time of
celebration of Jesus Christ and a wonderful time celebrating the church. The
program was “Church Leadership Seminar”, and Brother Enoch was the main
speaker, and he treated various topics.
I have been in mission, and the Lord does many things with me all the time. He
always has something new, but this mission was extremely unique. Sometimes
the Lord addresses me whilst I’m lying down as to what He wanted to share.
He Himself will be talking to me, and the subjects were very simple, but they
were great, and I felt so sad when I took my iPad and there was not much space
on the iPad to do the recordings. They wanted to know me first before they
organized things. So, God introduced Himself, not me, to them. We thank the
Lord. They received us very nicely, and we had a blessed time.
I’m taking only one little topic. I didn’t want to say much today but I will just
take a little subject for us. The Lord addressed me on John chapter 3 verse 16. I
was lying down at dawn, and He took the subject Himself, and started
addressing me on the subject. I knew the scripture. I knew I understood it but
beloved, the Lord took us to a different level, completely different level. And
even when I was delivering the message, there were new revelations that were
not on my paper, and He didn’t discuss with me. But as I got into the stream of
things, He Himself was excited, beloved, it was a beautiful moment.
And if you take first Corinthians chapter 13 verse 13, reads “And now these
three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love”. The Lord
took me to the foundation of these three words: Love, faith, and hope. And
discussed it with me. And all three were in John 3 verse 16. The foundation, the
ramifications, and the import of those three words were in John 3.16; “For God
so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth
in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”. The scripture opens with
God’s love, for God so loved the world, so the whole of the Christian faith is
based on God’s love.
That’s the issue, God’s love. And what? He gave. The manifestation of His love
is that He gave. When we are being asked to give our lives, God is calling us.
We are asked to come to church on time, we are asked to find time to fast and
pray, many of us, not here alone, many people in the church don’t pay attention
to it, and you cannot do this work, except you love. But this love is not a human
perspective, you know agape love, philia love and eros love. And you find this,
people, from a psychological perspective. But this love cannot be defined by
psychology. The love that God has is deeper, Ephesians chapter 3 verse 19 says;
“And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be
filled with all the fulness of God”. You can’t imagine it, I have always been
thanking the Lord and asking Him to give me love, and my reason for telling
God that is, man being what he is, though I’ve not lived long, but I’ve seen
many types of men, your bosom friend, your husband, your wife, your child,
will deny you. They can easily deny you. And fundamentally, people want
things for themselves, so, they don’t care what they do to you, as long as they
have their way. And God has lived with man, fallen man, disobedient man, man
who has rejected Him, and He still loves us. And so, I always ask the Lord, all I
ask you, give me the love that you have for man, for having been able to live
with man, and you still love man, and you are still loving man. You don’t
understand it. That’s a deep, deep, deep love, and you have to fall into this love.
So, when the Bible says, for God so loved the world, it is impossible for man to
comprehend that depth of love.
It’s deep, brethren, very deep. For God so loved the world. Hallelujah. For God
so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son. Can you imagine that?
For God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten son.
And the son is not anything but Himself. The concept of a son, just because of
you and I, He gave His son. He turned Himself into a human being, and that
also was love.
He reduced Himself to a nonentity, compared to Himself in the glorious
position as God. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God, and the word became flesh”. Can you imagine this?
God loves man, and to express Himself, to demonstrate His love, He left His
glory behind and became a human being. We are told that He died on the cross.
To summarize it all, can you love like that? I don’t think we are capable.
Everybody has a kind of love. But, in the human perspective, love has a
connotation of that penny of some gain for the lover, if you love people, they
don’t love you back you get angry.
You can even kill them, commit suicide because they don’t return love. But God
loves us. And gave His only begotten son. And if you know deeply, It’s Himself
that became man. He lost his own glory just because of you and me.
The second word is “faith’, and the key issue is that, if you believe this love that
God
demonstrated. So, faith becomes very critical to the church mission, the
Christian message, Christian life, Christian work of all, Faith. And faith comes
by hearing the word of God.
So, within this John chapter 3 verse 16, there’s a demonstration of the three
important words in the Christian faith. Love, Faith, and Hope. And the hope in
John 3.16 is everlasting life. It looks foolish. He gave you hope. And all that the
Christian faith stands for is that knowing the love of God towards you or your
brother or sister or your nation, such as God is speaking about Ghana. Knowing
the love of God towards our country and all He’s doing and has done all these
years to make Ghana come to this level.
You may be in this house and you don’t even agree with all the fasting and
prayer we are doing, even today God is calling us, and you hear, but it doesn’t
make any difference to you, you are not touched by it, He’s thinking about you,
your goodness. And you are not even concerned about your goodness, much
more your neighbor. So, brethren, faith comes by hearing. If you believe this,
for God’s whole of the world, that He gave Jesus Christ, His only begotten son,
and you believe it, just believe it, you have hope. And that hope is everlasting
life. That is the structure of the Christian faith. The Holy Spirit made me
diagnose and teach it on various, various angles. It was so beautiful.
So, I decided that this is just what I’ll share with you today. There’s a second
one connected with this briefly, because the key to the faith and the key to all
that we are doing is the love of God for man. For God so loved the world that
He gave Himself. When God gave Himself for the redemption, transformation,
et cetera, of man, creation. And He gave His son to reset, a light has appeared in
darkness, those who are in the shadow of death have seen the light. Isaiah 9
verse 2 and 6. See the mind of God towards you, we can’t even understand the
depth of His love for us. When you have your brother or sister who is in need,
and you don’t want to give him or her, you tell them to go and work, but God
loves you. You don’t have anything to give to God that He has not given to you
Himself. What does God want from you? He loved you so much and called you
by name.
And before He called you, He had spent all that needed for your life. He has
already expended it. So, just believe and you have that hope. And He is a God
that fulfills His word, so, the hope is a settled issue. And the only thing about
hope is endurance and waiting patiently. It will come to pass. And this is the
church in mission. This is a church that we can show this love of God towards
creation, fellow man. That we will strive with all our that we have, I call it not
your ability, if you are called by God to work, you don’t depend on your mind
or strength, but all that you need to work will be given by God. If only you
believe and you have faith that God is calling you and you give yourself, all you
need is love him back and give yourself. Accept the love of God for you and
then release yourself. And he will use you to perform and do the things he
wants, which normally He doesn’t even share everything with you. Because He
wants you to walk in faith and righteousness. If He says a thing you believe,
you go and do it.
Faith is a very simple thing, believe what God says, that’s the basis of your faith.
And if He says it, He will bring it to pass. So, hope, hope is a reality.
The Lord addressed me on this. So, if you are talking about church mission,
that’s it, love of God for creation, sending forth the son as a gift and then have
hope of the promises of God. That’s all. All the things in this world, brethren,
cannot compensate for the promise of God in the end time.
When all is over, you see that the things of this world that are attracting you are
nothing, vanity. But if you receive Christ and walk with Him unto eternal glory,
you don’t know how it will look like, one thing is certain, you shall be like Him.
That’s what He says, the hope. The love of God passeth knowledge and that’s a
love expended unto you, and that’s a love opened to you. That’s a love God
wants you to enter all of you, God wants you to enter that love, then you will
see how wonderful it is. But the key to entering that love is Faith. Believe, and
it may not give you an elaborate vision, but you walk step by step with Him. He
said, if you don’t deny yourself, you cannot be a disciple. Faith. And there’s
hope. Whatever the Lord said He would do, as for me, I know He will do it.
Brethren, we are sitting down in this house, the Lord said, go and do this, but
we are all sitting unconcerned, you don’t participate in any activity. You don’t
go for soul winning, retreat, nothing, you don’t bring your tithe, you owe God a
lot. You don’t give yourself to God to use, because you love yourself. To the
extent that you don’t even want blessings from God, because you love yourself
so much, the blessings of God are cheap. It cannot be compared to the way you
love yourself. Several times the Lord tells us to go, who is going to speak about
what God has done in this nation but you, but you have refused. You get angry
when you hear it, but what have you done? You are just angry. Go and speak,
you won’t say anything or do anything. You can write an article, dawn
broadcast, you won’t go but you are angry, your anger is foolishness. Nobody
can tell what God is doing in this country except you sitting here, but you are
not saying anything. God is not the one to go and speak. It is you to go out there
and talk about what God is doing. You sit down and you criticize God. Just to
go out, believe, and go and tell. You see where we are going? Because you have
failed God. Nobody can say it but us. And some of you are in positions that you
can speak, but you have refused. You criticize those who are speaking, but you
have never said anything. I’m talking about “for those who love the world that
they gave His son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have
everlasting life”, hope. He has sent us to go and proclaim His word, let’s
believe and have faith in His word, and God will bring to pass the reason why
He sent us with the word. If it does come to pass, it’s not your mistake. God has
spoken, and so how He will do it is by His own discretion. Temporally it will
look as if it didn’t work, but ultimately it will work because He’s able to bring to
pass all that He said.
Beloved in Jesus Christ, the Lord told me the foundation of the faith, the
foundation of the church mission is Love, Faith, and Hope. Whatever we are
doing, God asks us to do. Love, faith, and hope. Let me seal it with something
which I told them. The word of God. In the beginning was the word was God,
and the word, became flesh. The word that became flesh was given a name
called Jesus Christ. The word became flesh. So, the word is higher than Jesus
Christ. This is a spiritual thing.
The word became Flesh, so, it meant He lowered Himself. So, when you talk
about Jesus Christ, we are talking about the word of God in His fullness. He’s
higher than Jesus Christ. It is a mystery. Someone powerful turned Himself into
a child, when you are talking to the child, you can talk to Him like a child, but
when He turns and you see Him in His fulness, you know this is not just a child
but a God. The word became Flesh. So, in His position as flesh, it is a lower
version of Himself. And why did He come to that level? Because of His love for
you. He comes near you and takes you to Himself. Because of His love for you,
He knows that when He comes in His fullness, you cannot contain Him. He in
light inaccessible. He’s a consuming fire. When you look at Revelation, how
John saw Him in the book of Revelation, it’s like a flaming fire. But because of
our redemption, He turned Himself into a child. So, that you can chat with Him.
Imagine you are praying, then your phone rings and then you tell Jesus, Jesus a
minute. When you finish, you ask Jesus, are you there? And He doesn’t say
anything. All He knows is that you are a human being, so He has tolerant for
you. That shows His love. He’s so interested in you that your little failings
cannot stop Him from loving you. The bible says what shall separate us from
the love of God. Your little failings cannot stop Him from loving you. Because
He finished your salvation on the cross, even before you were born. He finished
your salvation already; all you have to do is to believe. God has spoken, when
He spoke, He was God, but He now turned Himself into a human being. So,
when you see Him, you talk to Him like a human being, but when He turns
Himself, you will realize that you are not talking to a human. So, when you see
the name Jesus, Jesus is a human being, Christ is only the divine dimension. He
loves you. He said, one day, you shall be just like me. I’m making you become
just like I am. This is our hope.
He comes down to your level; He comes to indwell in you. Can you imagine
this? The word of God, the creator of the world becomes small and dwells in
you. He is in you from your going out and coming in, because He dwells in you,
He sees all that you do. When you sin, He looks at you but doesn’t cut off your
head.
He’s there with you, His heart breaks because of us, but He still loves us and is
waiting for us to change, no matter how long it takes for you to change. He sees
all the sins you think are hidden from Him. But our soul matters to Him. He
doesn’t look at the sin, but He is looking at your soul. He is always there with
you whenever you engage in a sinful act. When you are in your office and you
steal the money, He is there with you. When they give you work, you don’t want
to do it. He’s there with you. I was telling my daughter the other day that, the
work you are doing, you are not doing it for me Brother Enoch but for the Lord.
So, if you don’t put your whole heart and mind into a job, you are not bluffing
me, you are bluffing God. When you’re called for a meeting, you will be the last
person to come. Why don’t you be the first to go, so Jesus can embrace you.
Jesus said, He cherishes His word above His name. That is why when you see
the word of God, place a lot of value on the word of God. The word of God is a
valuable thing. It is faith that makes the word of God work. It is faith that
ignites, the word has its own internal power and dynamics. So, your faith in the
word is the key to your blessings. The word is more powerful than Jesus, but He
became human being because of us. So, if you receive Christ.
John chapter 1 verse 16; “And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for
grace”. Since He is walking with us now, He is imparting His fullness onto us.
If you are walking with the Lord, He says if you love me and obey my
command, I will manifest myself. Many people hear from the Lord or see
visions, but you have never seen anything, and instead of drawing closer to the
Holy Spirit to grant you the enablement, you rather sit back and make mockery
of those that the Spirit is manifesting through. You will die in your sin when
you speak like that. Today I give praise to Jehovah for He manifested Himself
to us over there.
I treated one topic, and it was “Behold the Master”, but when I treated the
‘Behold the King”, the whole place was upside down. Somebody was weeping,
one pastor cried, he told me that when I was coming, he saw angels, there was a
light, and angels were ushering me into the room. And the Lord made me open
some vistas, and he saw himself. He couldn’t contain himself; he was weeping.
And when he was telling his story, he was weeping. The Lord said that church
is going to be a great church, and that there will be a pillar into the skies, and it
will be written on top of it “John 3.16” There’s a pillar and a cross, and that
cross is a high tower, and people from far and near will see that church and they
will come there. And the pastors were telling me they have been hearing this,
but they don’t know how and when it will come to pass. But I came and told
them, they should build a tower, that place. They have agreed.
When the Lord calls our attention to things like this, they are very precious. So,
make up your mind. Confess your sin.
Before I serve, confess your sin where you are, and ask the Lord to cleanse you.
When you are not ready, when you prepare, you pray, the Lord can give you
witness. That go, go.
Don’t judge yourself, present yourself to the Lord, and let him prepare you.
