Synopsis: The sermon emphasizes John 3:16—God’s love, faith, and hope through Jesus Christ as the only way to escape sin and gain eternal life.

Thank you. I’m blessed to be here on this wonderful day. I want to assure you
the kind of things the Lord told me about today at home.
Father, we thank you,
we bless you.
Be thou exalted indeed, you are worthy of your name, you’re
worthy of your glory, and we lay our lives down for that glory. From eternity to
eternity. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.
Beloved in the Lord Jesus Christ, praise ye the Lord. Service to God. And are
built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself
being the chief corner stone. Beloved the spirit of the Lord is upon me today to
discuss with you the gate and joy of salvation open to the human race. The gate
and joys of salvation open unto the human race. I repeat, the gate and joy of
salvation open unto the human race. In the scripture, John 3 and 16, the Most
High God opens the way of escape and the door of salvation and glory to man.
We are told that all men have sinned and come short of the glory of God. All
men and all peoples and all nations are given a chance and the opportunity to
escape from fatality and death through the preaching of the gospel of salvation,
redemption and restoration through faith in Jesus Christ. Christ is the way;
Christ also is the door; Christ is the way of escape and Christ is the door of
glory. John 3, 16 offers to the nations, that is all peoples and therefore here all
creation, the divine love, faith and hope in him. I repeat, John 3 and 16 offers to
the nations of the world, that is all people and all creations in the world, the
divine love, faith and hope in him. The key to enter into escape and the door of
glory is faith in the son giving. Through faith in the son giving, we can and
indeed do escape from perishing in fatality, hopelessness and death. Christ is the
way of escape as I said and it’s a way of escaping from what? He said, God so
loved the world that he gave His only begotten son that whosoever believes
should not perish but have everlasting life.
So, the escape is from perishing and perishing can mean anything. To me it
means all things pertaining to man outside God. Perishing means all things
pertaining to man outside God. We know the story in the Garden of Eden. When
man decided to be God unto himself, that the dependent factor I put it,
depending on God for life shall no more be necessary. The man is not only able
to live the life as he wants but he has power to decide what is right and wrong.
In other words, he will become God unto himself that there’ll be nobody to
judge him and there’ll be no standard to judge him or to weigh his conduct. He’s
God unto himself therefore he decides what is right and wrong. By his own
determination he ekes out or enjoys his life. He decides what is wrong and what
is right.
Today’s world is that there’s nothing wrong or nothing right. It is as you think
and the Bible say, Jesus came to save the world from perishing, and I said the
world perishing means escape the conditions of human existence outside God.
So, the highest of men, the richest of men, the most intelligent of men, the
wisest of men, the powerful of men, indeed most powerful of men, men that can
turn themselves into spirits and powers.
This morning somebody came to me about armed robbers and especially land
guards. There’s somewhere in Accra here, where the chief land guard is the
chief and he has 3,000 land guards and when there is trouble and they are
chasing him, he can speak, and the earth will open, and he will enter the earth to
escape. When they are shooting, he will escape. When it’s over, he’ll shoot. In
other words, he is “immortal”, but he will die. And all things pertaining to the
highest, the richest of men, Bill Gates, Queen Elizabeth. As for President
Obama, he has only two days. Queen Elizabeth is live appointment, even before
Prince William’s baby came, the whole of the world was in ecstasy. A king is
about to be born. A king was to be born and not a king yet, but an heir to the
throne is to be born. And the paparazzi were all over at the hospital, there were
hundreds of them. Somebody wants to be the first to catch a glimpse and take a
picture of the Duchess of Cambridge. To carry the baby who may be the king or
heir after Prince Charles. And can you imagine this? The whole world was
excited. But when Jesus was born, the whole world was doing something else.
And only some shepherds in the field and wise men from a distant land came to
worship the baby, the newborn baby. While the King and the High priests and in
this case, let’s say the President, the Speaker of parliament, the Chief Justice,
Asantehene and all the great chiefs and all the big men, the richest men in this
country, the powerful men, the juju men, all the men and women in Ghana, that
matter according to man. They were enjoying themselves and doing their
doings. And the King of Glory was lying in a manger unnoticed. And so young
men, young ladies, man has nothing to offer. He is nothing outside God.
However great he is, he is nothing outside God. And so, the Lord is saying that
Christ Jesus is a way of escape from this state of perishing. This place of life
outside God, which is darkness and death, there’s a way of escape. And that way
of escape is faith in Jesus Christ, the Christ that was given. Christ is also, I said
earlier, the door of entry into glory in the divine nature.
The door of entry into glory in the divine nature. John 10 verse 9, he says, “I am
the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out,
and find pasture”. And John 1 tells us that it is through Him that we enter into
the divine nature. Ephesians 1 verse 5, also says, “having predestined us to
adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of
His will”. That through Him we are adopted, we are adopted in the beloved.
And John 1 also tells us that through Him we enter into the divine nature, when
we are born again, then we are no more of the first Adam order. Now we have
entered a door of glory. And so, we are a new creation having a new life to live.
And so, even Christians that are yearning to be great in the world and are
chasing the world and the glory of the world, I see them like, somebody who is
in the airplane and he’s looking for parachute to come down.
Just like the Israelites on their way to Canaan from Egypt, long after they have
even crossed the Red Sea, some of them were still yearning to go back to Egypt.
There are many Christians like that. Even though they think they are born again.
And this morning some pastors came to my house, and said, they learn how to
speak in tongues. And they were demonstrating it, a few syllables. Do, re, mi,
do, re, mi, do, re, mi, do, re, mi. He too is speaking in tongues. Because he
heard somebody say Do, re, mi, do, re, mi. So, if he can say that, then he is also
speaking in tongues. When you go to a church where they are praying like that,
they are not speaking in tongues, they are making noise. These are not
Christians. At least they are not speaking in tongues. And people yearn to be
like men. There are Christians, apostles, archbishops, popes, prophets, pastors,
teachers, evangelists.
They would like to be a great man that when he passes, everybody will bow and
celebrate them. They seek fame and go to the extent of having a bodyguard.
Brethren, this is the way of men and is not the way of Christ and such people
are not following Christ. They have not
learned yet, because they have not
entered the door of glory. They don’t know what glory is, in the divine nature.
As we are chasing the world and the things of the world thinking the things of
the world means glory, but they actually mean death, perish. So, brothers Christ
is the way of escape from perishing, and Christ is the door of glory in the divine
nature.
The Bible tells us in John 3 verse 16 that, there’s an offer of everlasting life,
“for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life”. Now
this is the door of eternal glory. There’s a glory, the divine glory you can walk
on earth
with it, but it’s a glory of eternal life, eternal glory where you enter into
a realm, not only of the reality of the divine nature being like Him but also
living like Him in eternal glory because He is eternal, He is everlasting, non
changing so you too will become an everlasting non-changing being in Him
and after Him. And that’s the eternal door open to us. Beloved God is spirit, and
He says they that worship him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. So,
when you enter into this glory this eternal door, you are entering a door of
eternal existence not just eternal but everlasting existence. When the door of
glory is open to you, you enter into a state of Everlasting glory. Because the
one in whom you are no more born in His image, but the man whose nature now
you have become or have taken is everlasting. The man whose nature you have
taken not that you were wise, but whose nature was conferred on you when you
enter the door of glory which is Jesus Christ, you enter into the very nature of
God Himself and He’s a spirit and He’s everlasting spirit. Therefore, you too
will become a spirit and everlasting spirit. So, this is the door open to us.
Everlasting life is a hope that God has brought to us This is a door of glory from
faith in Jesus Christ, Everlasting life or everlasting glory in the divine nature.
So, beloved, in John 3 verse16, which is described as the gospel or in other
words the good news to all people’s all nations and the world. That gospel or
good news is that open door, for entry into the divine nature. There are three
things that John 3 verse16 bring us; The first is love, for God so loved the
world, that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believers in Him,
that’s the door of faith. For God so loved the world, God’s love is a new door in
which the one who believes in Christ and who is born again he enters into the
love of God, and he has also that divine nature of love, the love of God.
Romans 5 tells that “The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts”, and
Ephesians 1 verse 5, tells us that “we are born again or adopted through the
beloved”, so, it’s the beloved who has pleased the father. Beloved in Jesus
Christ the love of God is an open door, and when you enter that door of glory
you enter to into the divine love. Then you also enter into divine faith, He said
those who believe the key word is believe, when we believe the bible tells us
that faith comes by hearing the Word of God, and John 3 verse 16 is the word of
God, it is the gospel. If you believe that gospel, you are entering a system of
faith, a proposition of faith, divine faith, heavily giving divine faith, a faith that
is not normal faith, is not the human first Adam faith. It quite distinct and
unique and different from Human, earthly or worldly faith or for that matter
worldly love. Some people have gone to describe that love as agape. Agape is
not sufficient to describe the fullness of divine love, agape looks like just freely
giving but then the love that makes a person Jesus offer Himself for death for
sacrifice in order that the human race will be saved and He’s not just any other
human being He is God Himself and turns Himself into a human being giving a
name Jesus and He goes to the cross. You see how He present a story of the
cross. This is the best I’ve ever had, and this is from the throne room itself or the
master Himself, about who He is and what His mission is and the mission that is
accomplished. So, there’s a door of faith open to us, when we hear and we
believe we’ll not only receive Christ, we’ll not only receive the escape, we’ll
not only enter the door of glory and therefore the divine love in other words, we
are entering a life that will be we define, will not be the love of men or women,
but the love that is divine. And that love is a very high, dear and pure Love, it is
not selfish, it doesn’t seek its own, it’s pure. Today the Lord was sharing with
me about man. He said the greatest thing about man is self, we talk about
selfishness, but the greater problem in man is self, not even his selfishness.
Selfishness a problem, but self is the greatest problem of man, and I was telling
some pastors that came to me this morning, if you go through many churches
today all the preaching and all the wailing and all the tumble jumble is about
self, “so that it will be well with me”. We go to churches and from the pulpit to
the prayer room, from the praises to the prayer session and preaching. Many
churches there is no worship today, so praises, the preaching and the rest is what
self. The promotion and pursuit of self. From the praises through the preaching
to the benediction, it is only self. So, the pulpits has been dedicated to self and
the gospel of redemption, that redeems us out of the human nature and gives us
opportunity to enter the divine nature and live like the divine being, goes back
and promotes and pursues the first Adam and its glory according to world
standards, and search the based factors,

The whole enterprise is self, and when they are preaching, they present
themselves and they make the people look at them as the epitome of the self,
because we have attained. When you see us, you know that truly we have
attained. The Bible is not just talking about doctrines of men and doctrines of
devils, philosophies of men, psychology, science, Technological advances all
these are men, graven images, that are attempting to find solution to man which
is the promotion of self. “I’m going to church because I want things to work out
for me”. I will not be in church if not for my troubles.
I Like that old friend of mine he died he said Enoch, “do you think I should
submit my brain and believe in Jesus”, to him those worshipping God don’t
have sense.
Upon all his sense, he still died. And Jesus said if you don’t want to worship
God you die in your sins. We attended the same University, he was the legal
officer for the board, we sat at the office chatting, and he asked me if I think he
should leave his brain aside and worship God. So, when I resigned my job and
decided to work the work of God, they laughed at me. My entitlements were
denied. I Was going to retire, voluntary retirement At my great and we had just
brought a new system of Benefits Retiring benefits at
my grade, we had just
brought a new system of retirement benefit and the retiring benefit will take
effect from 1st, July and I wrote that 30th June I will leave, but I’m entitled to
what leaves so my effective resignation should take over at the expiration of my
leave which would then qualify me for the retirement. You know what the
clever man did, he looked at me in the face and said Enoch, you know what we
are going to do, we’ll give you cash for the leave in other words even though
you have days which will extend beyond the June 30th, we will give you money
for the leave. Therefore, you collected the money which would have been due to
you somewhere in July. Actually, it is nonsense because if you argue with it,
even if you give me the cash for the leave you accept that I have entitlement of
leave. Therefore, my resignation to take effect at the end of that leave. In other
way I just don’t take it you give me cash, but I have entitlement legally speaking
and this man was interpreting the rules as he liked because Enoch says he is
going to do the work of God, so God should pay him. I’m just reflecting all of
them except one have died and I’m still alive. In my foolishness because I deny
myself money and the glory of the earth, I don’t know where they are now, but
they and Jesus will answer whether they are in eternal glory. When my big man,
the head of the board the executive chairman, he tried everything to get me
dismissed and it failed. I told him, I was working here before you came, you
cannot sack me, and I will not go until I say I want to go, you cannot let me go.
He went and asked the board to dismiss me, and the board asked him what he
had done. Here’s somebody who has been secretary of the board and they know
my record, and you have just come after six months of seven months you said
the guy should be dismissed and he sought everything to make me go away. So,
the people ask him, what has he done? Have you given him any query? I didn’t
know that he never even told me that he had proposed for me to be dismissed.
As a senior officer, second or third to him, he would not even call me to his
office to discuss it. But he sent a memo straight to the board for me to be
dismissed after he has tried to get me transferred to other places, then I was
summoned before the board, I was in my office when the secretary to the
chairman said Mr. Agbozo, the chairman has asked me to tell you to get ready
to appear before the board and they will call you soon. I said, okay, she didn’t
give me any reason, so I decided to go and just pray, and I went to the
Washroom. There were three wash sections in the washroom, so I was inside
one and the boys who were washing the teacups serving drinks and tea in the
boardroom came to wash the cups in the washroom because there’s are facilities
there. And then they are saying “they want to dismiss Mr. Agbozo” and that is
why they are asking him to appear, And I was inside then somebody said it
seems there’s somebody here there’s somebody here Then the other said
nobody’s here all the senior officers are in their offices. And it’s true, I alone
was on the next floor down, but I use the top floor washroom, but all the senior
officers are on the top floor, I am the only one on the second floor in the middle
floor, but I use the same facility as them. I went there to pray so these boys
when they look around the offices everybody’s there They forgot that there’s a
young man downstairs and I was inside, so they finish washing the cup and left
and I went out to await my appointment to destiny, then I receive a call the
board said you are not to appear before them today, but the chairman will speak
to you later. Apparently, they asked him if I had done something, and whether
he had given me query on anything before. They want to see the query and what
did I say? So, now he’s giving me a query. Listen to the God we worship in the
night the petition three-page petition he presented to the board was before me
and the Lord brought the whole petition before me in the spirit to read it, and I
read it. And so, I have background to his query, his reason for dismissing me or
seeking to dismiss me and his attempt to find reason to dismiss me.
So, I responded I didn’t even attempt to flout what he was saying, but I just
answered a query but of course it didn’t go nowhere. They said it was alright,
they didn’t tell me why I should come and why it is alright, you are not to
appear before the board again. The next thing, I was sent to Ministry of
Industries as an advisor to the minister and I stayed there for 13 months and
when I was going, I told him I told you can’t suck me. I Am going there at my
what my choice, but not because you want to suck me. I didn’t even know, but
I’m going he said Enoch okay, so I left I was there, and he was transferred to
Ministry of Finance as a principal secretary, Minister of Finance and I had to
come back to my position. So, they organized a party in his office for the senior
staff to say goodbye to him and in those days my favorite drink was Club
Ginger Ale. So, when they were drinking, I asked for club ginger ale, then the
guy looked at me and said, “are you still attending the church”, are you still in
that church? he’s alive. You see that he’s in darkness, he’s dead and buried alive,
but he doesn’t know, and two of them in our department have gone to India for
power to protect themselves. So, he thought Indian power is better than my
God.
When you enter this eternal door of divine nature of eternal existence, a spiritual
existence of eternal nature, everlasting non-changing nothing, any earthly
weapon cannot harm you. You are above the earthly weapons. You have hope
of everlasting life, so you enter divine love and divine faith which operates
differently from a human faith. Then you enter divine hope, and that an assured
hope. The everlasting life is a sure certainty when you accept Jesus Christ, and
you enter that great and eternal door. The gospel of Jesus Christ, you can see
there’s no open door to promotion and pursuit of self. One of the greatest
misfortunes in the church today is that men are promoting self as the gospel.
That if you come to self, all things will work out well for you, all your troubles,
your sickness will all stop, and you’ll move from nobody to somebody. But the
gospel doesn’t say that when you come to Christ, you move to be somebody, if
there’s somebody you become like God, you put on the divine nature, and the
divine nature is everlasting. There’s hope, provided you remain on the path of
glory.
I hope brethren you will remain, having entered the divine glory through faith in
Jesus Christ because of the divine love open to us and the hope giving us in the
divine nature. I hope you will keep it and treasure it, and don’t exchange it for
anything. The Bible says, “for what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the
whole world, and lose his own soul”. One of the problems I have had to deal
with recently with pastors, “what is the value they place on the human soul”,
because everything they are doing has nothing to do with the human soul in his
eternal glory that is promised. They are only thinking of present-day life and the
conditions of life or in economic terms the conditions of living and terms of
living. Beloved, don’t be persuaded anymore by such teachers, such teachings,
such doctrines and such practices, they are not of God they are of men. I Warn
you they are not of God they are of men. They are doctrines of men, and these
doctrines of men have found place in today’s church, these doctrines and
practices of men have become the mode, and they want to change the church.
They want to change the church itself; they want to change the meaning of the
church itself. I’m going to write an article very soon “the church”, the church is
divine, the church is Christ, it’s nothing more than Christ who is in us, which is
what the hope of glory, the church is Christ in you. If you are in Christ, you are
in the church you become a member of the household of God. But the church is
not a human creation, no human being owns the church. If you win three million
souls while you are an evangelist, an apostle, a pope or a prophet or whatever
you don’t save any single soul, it’s Jesus Christ who saved the souls He said, I
will build my church, He didn’t say Peter, now that I’ve given you the key to the
heaven Go and build my church for me. So, Peter will turn around today and
say he is the church, he built the church. He said I will build, and we are but
servants giving opportunity to be used, that he will use us to build his church,
So, if you have a group of the church, that is the people who have Christ in
them and are members of the household of God, they are not your property at all
and you cannot claim them as your property that you use them, the Bible says
that you use them as sheep. And what do you do with sheep? The sheep have
wool, so when the wool comes, you cut it, and make cloth out of it and sell it,
then you sell it and become comfortable, because you have money. You have
taken away all the wool, so the sheep is at the mercy of the elements. So that
God has to provide the wool fast so that he can get some, the moment he gets
his money, tomorrow he wants a car, he is travelling outside Ghana for mission,
we are going to build a cathedra. I am the archbishop and where the bishop is it
must be what a cathedra. Because the Church of the bishop must be a Cathedral
and it cannot be a small room like this where we have rented. It must be a place
befitting the Pope. So, you gather the people’s wool to build the cathedral, and
the cathedral represents you, because when you die, what will happen there?
You will be buried in the cathedral because you are the bishop. You’ve gathered
all these worldly things to your chest, your soul doesn’t even have a place to
rest, and you have also gathered all these worldly things to your chest. Your
soul doesn’t know its stand, you are happy, but your soul is sad because you
have no hope.
Beloved, for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that
whosoever believes in Him, should not perish but have an everlasting life.
That’s the hope, the divine hope, which is assured, you can be sure that you will
end on it, and you are right as long as you keep your faith in Jesus Christ, and
you don’t change. The divine love is higher and more powerful than the human
love, similarly the divine faith is stronger, more beautiful and more effective
than the faith of man and the I hope that John 3 verse 16 offers is not just
everlasting life, but a hope of surety, a hope guaranteed as long as you keep
your faith in Jesus Christ, you are guaranteed. If God has saved us out of
perishing and opened the door of eternal life for us, this door of divine hope
which after we have become born again and entered into the divine nature.
What do we do? How do we respond? Beloved, how do we respond? The
proposition is that he who believes will have everlasting life, the beauty of it is
that there’s a surety in the faith in Jesus Christ to have both the love of God,
that’s the divine love, the divine faith, as well as divine hope. So, John 3 verse
16, is a unique proposition to all men or Christian and all nations. I Want to
suggest to you that when John 3 vesre16 is preached it is not meant for only
individuals, the whole family, the whole nation can take John 3vesre 16 for
themselves. A whole family, a whole community, a whole city, a whole nation,
has opportunity in John 3 verse 16 to enter into the divine nature and the divine
everlasting non-changing nature and character. And so, don’t think that John 3
verse16 is only for individuals, the spirit of the Lord told Paul to propose to the
jailer, when the jailer was about to kill himself and Paul said don’t kill yourself
yet, we are here, and the man was shaking and he said what should I do? And
Paul said believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved, and the
household. So, you see the household also has opportunity to be saved and to
enter into that divine nature, if the household will believe.
So, Ghana has opportunity in John 3 verse 16, to enter as a people, as a nation
into that divine nature if only Ghana as people, and as nation, and a creation
will believe and have faith in Jesus Christ. I’m suggesting today that you should
not think John 3 verse 16 is only for individuals. I’m saying it’s for households,
it is for societies, it is for nations and it’s for kingdoms on the earth. Since the
nations, the peoples, the kingdoms, on the earth are in a state of perishing.
Thanks be to God today that you have believed the gospel, as a matter of fact
the gospel is a message of divine love, faith, and hope unto man, fallen man to
enter and enjoy the new life. A new life of divine origin, divine nature and
divine glory in everlasting life.
Access to the tree of life has been restored through faith in Jesus Christ and so
when you have access to the tree of life reference Genesis chapter 3 you can
have everlasting life. Because they said God said they should debar man from
entering the garden of Eden to take the tree of life, so that they will be like Him,
and He made sure you enter it’s a state of death. So, the moment you believe,
and you accept Christ and your sins are forgiven, and you are redeemed from
the old nature and born anew, you can have access to the tree of life. It doesn’t
come automatically of course; it comes with obedience.
To conclude the matter, the gospel of Jesus Christ constitutes offer of divine
love, divine faith, and divine hope, to all peoples, all nations, accept the offer.
Jesus told me this morning to tell you that if you accept the offer of John 3
verse16, then there are three things He would like you to do. This is the theme
of my message “Love God”. If you accept the offer in John 3 verse16, He said
from that time on you love God and then number two you obey God’s
commandments. You obey the commandments, He put it this way Love God
obey His commandments and number three worship Him in spirit and in truth, it
shall be well with your soul Amen. I want you to consider John 3 verse16 afresh
everybody You can consider by standing, by sitting, by kneeling, by coming to
the altar whichever you decide, consider quietly the offer in John 3 verse 16, It’s
an offer to you. It’s an offer to them everybody your own soul is in the balance
today, your life of escape is in your hands, or the life of escape is with you, faith
in Jesus Christ and the door of glory is with you, faith in Jesus Christ would you
believe? Beloved this is not a philosophy, this is life, if you believe today,
examine your life properly. I told you that a
catch, the danger we see in the
world today is the promotion and pursuits of self, and it started in the garden of
Eden. I Hope you repent from the pursuit of self and seek after God that your
soul shall find rest, that your soul shall enter into the state of divine glory and
everlasting life. That nothing in the world can buy that for your soul or in
exchange for your soul, nothing can pay for your soul, its value in divine terms
or spiritual terms.
So, today you want to decide that you will give yourself to God truly. That you
will have faith in God from within, and not faith that you will get something
from God. You won’t see Him, if you are doing it because of your peace and
happiness. He didn’t come so your soul will be happy in this world, He came to
redeem your lost soul. You must die to self and turn your back on yourself and
seek after the kingdom of God. Your soul is important to God, so in the same
light let your soul matter to you. Don’t turn yourself into God that you worship
that the pursuit of the self, becomes the prime agenda for worshipping God that
if God does not fulfill that self, then He’s not worthy to be worshipped, He’s not
worthy of your time that you go to church and spend 5 hours. You have better
things to do then stay at the feet of the Most High God. May God forbid, may
God forgive us, may we redeem ourselves from this kind of thoughts that we
may receive the everlasting life through faith in Jesus Christ, Love God, Obey
His commandments Worship Him in spirit and in truth. That is your duty. Amen
