CHURCH MISSION CONFERENCE
SERMON INSIGHTS
The Heaviness of the Spirit and the Cry of Hope
Central Spiritual Truth: Divine visitations often begin with a profound spiritual weight that transitions from weeping into a manifestation of hope, power, and might.
- I found myself weeping and crying in the Spirit heavily last night, yet it was not a lamentation of sadness but a cry of hope for the earth. This experience reflects the reality of God’s power and might which often beats human imagination but remains our absolute truth.
- You see me standing here, but I am also wondering what the Lord has to say to us in this significant and important gathering. We are witnessing a moment where the Spirit of the Lord comes heavily to prepare us for a visit to the earth.
- The beauty and significance of this gathering is beyond what I can conjecture, as it signals a shift from the earthly to the divine. This heaviness is a precursor to a message that will blow the trumpet for the second coming of Jesus Christ.
- We must be alert, like the handsome young man I see before me, looking onto the Lord to hear what He is saying to the human race. This alertness is necessary to perceive the hope and might that God is about to release upon the world.
- Scripture Reference: “For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” (Psalm 30:5).
Redefining Mission: Beyond Individual Salvation
Central Spiritual Truth: The true mission of the church is the reconciliation and redemption of entire nations and all of creation back to God.
- Church building mission, from a national perspective, goes much deeper than just evangelism for the salvation of individual souls. It pertains primarily to the reconciliation, deliverance, and winning of people and nations as a collective whole.
- You must see the church as the divine vehicle and the faith mechanism for establishing people and nations in the Lord’s kingdom. Our little efforts here have become the platform for this wider conference on building a nation from a people’s perspective.
- The goal is the total redemption of creation, ensuring that every part of our national life is built and established for His glory. This mission is only accomplished when a new nation and a new people emerge as a result of our spiritual labor.
- We are moving toward a reality where the church is not just a place for getting people established, but a force that wins back the heritage of the land. This broader view of mission ensures that the kingdom of God is felt in every corner of our society.
- Scripture Reference: “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.” (2 Corinthians 5:19).
Ghana as a De Facto Christian Nation
Central Spiritual Truth: Ghana has been spiritually redeemed and built as a nation holding onto God, awaiting its full legal establishment as His territory.
- Through our collective labor and church-building efforts, Ghana has today become a de facto Christian nation. The redemption and building of this land have been successful in establishing us as a people who hold fast to the triune God.
- We are now awaiting the legal and constitutional ratification that will fully establish Ghana as a Christian nation in the eyes of the world. This step is necessary for our land to be fully recognized as a place set apart for His kingdom and glory.
- The transformation we see is the result of a mission accomplished, the birth of a new nation and a new people who belong to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. You should take pride in the fact that your faith has redeemed the land and given it a new spiritual identity.
- This is a call to recognize the authority we have as a nation that has been won for Christ through persistent spiritual warfare and mission. We are no longer just a secular territory, but a people dedicated to the triune God forevermore.
- Scripture Reference: “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.” (Psalm 33:12).
Exhortations and Calls to Action
Central Spiritual Truth: Faithfulness to the divine voice requires a standing commitment to the mission of preparing the world for Christ’s return.
- Prepare for the Kingdom: I urge you to be the voice of God in human affairs, blowing the trumpet for the second coming of Jesus Christ.
- Support the Mission: Give your full support to the efforts of church building that go beyond the local level to encompass the entire nation.
- Recognize the New Identity: Start living as citizens of a Christian nation, knowing that God has redeemed and built Ghana for His own glory.
- Stay Alert in the Spirit: Do not let the importance of these times escape you; stay alert and expectant for what the Lord is saying to our generation.
- Give Glory to the Trinity: In all your deeds and prayers, ensure that the glory is returned to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit now and forever.
- Scripture Reference: “And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.” (Revelation 11:15).
