THE NEW MAN, THE NEW LIFE AND THE NEW SOCIETY
SERMON INSIGHTS
THE GENESIS OF THE NEW MAN
Central Spiritual Truth: The new man is not an improvement of the old nature but a totally new spirit being born out of the second Adam, Jesus Christ.
- The new man is born out of the old man specifically through the process of the new birth.
- This transformation is achieved through faith in Jesus Christ and the active workings of the Holy Spirit.
- As the “second Adam,” this new nature allows the believer to enter into the divine nature and the Kingdom of Heaven.
- It is a mistake to think of this as a mere psychological change; it is a transition into a new spirit being endowed with divine attributes.
- Being born of the Spirit allows one to move past the constraints and terrain of the physical and material world.
- Scripture Reference: “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3).
THE DIMENSIONS OF DIVINE NATURE AND POWER
Central Spiritual Truth: The new man operates in heavenly realms, possessing the authority to rule over natural and elemental forces.
- The new man lives in divine power and operates in supernatural ways that the natural man cannot comprehend.
- By being admitted into the Kingdom of God, we gain access to the authority required for ruling the natural and elemental world.
- This new life overcomes the spiritual limitations of human and satanic powers.
- When one speaks from this nature, there is a visible impact and power, unlike those who are full of “sound and fury” but signify nothing.
- The “servanthood” of the new man is the basis of victory and the only true hope for the world.
- Scripture Reference: “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust” (2 Peter 1:4).
THE VISION FOR A RECONSTRUCTED SOCIETY
Central Spiritual Truth: A new society can only be built by new men who have been called and gathered by God for a special vision.
- Movements like the Christian Youth Heritage are forums organized to bring students and youth into this vision of the new man.
- God has a special vision not just for schools, but for the entire nation through those He has called.
- We must move beyond the “old man” systems of the world to establish a society based on the new life in Christ.
- The purpose of gathering is to bring us to the point of undertaking that which God intended for our nation.
- Scripture Reference: “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Exhortations, Prayers, and Calls to Action
- Exhortation to Understand the Calling: I pray that you might understand why you are here, believing that God has blessed us to have been called for this movement.
- Call to Receive the Spirit: I say to you, hear and receive the spirit; let there be an impaction and an impact upon your spirit today.
- Call to New Birth: Transition from the old man of the first Adam to the new man of the second Adam through the divine nature and the Kingdom of Heaven.
