Synopsis
This outline details the Holy Spirit’s dual mission: equipping individual saints and
directing the church’s global work and leadership.

THE HOLY SPIRIT

Introductions
The Holy Spirit in the church therefore is in two dimensions:
• The general build-up and use of men in Christ
• The general direction, superintendence and control of the church, (The church in
this connection is essentially the local congregation, however the Holy Spirit
directs affairs in general organizational or universal sense).
The Individual saint
Called, Regenerated, Baptised, and Endued with Power for Service, Teaching and
Equipping
• Teaching and Equipping through the Saint. (Matthew 3: 16; John 3: 34)
• Personal work in studies, prayer and service. (2nd Tim. 2: 15-21; 1: 6-7; Jude 2)
• Through leadership church. (Eph. 4: 11-16; 2nd Tim. 1: 6-7; 1st Sam. 10: 9-13; 16:
13-14; Acts 18: 1-4)
• Through fellowship. (1st Cor. 12)
General Director of the Church
I am with you always (Matt. 28:20; John. 16: 7-15)
The Manifestation of the Holy Spirit in the Church
• Preaching and Teaching (wisdom, knowledge)
• Singing, Ministry (power)
• Other Ministry…. the gifts operating e.g. Prophecy, Tongues speaking,
Interpretation of Tongues, Healing, Wisdom etc.
Basic Requirements
• Men of faith, gifted of the word
• Faithfulness and Holiness
• Love and Unity in the church
The Holy Spirit in Ministry Outside
• Evangelism and general outreach
• The Saints in the Ministry

The letters to the seven churches in Rev. 2:3, “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the
SPIRIT saith unto the churches.”
THERE IS NO CHURCH WITHOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT. NO TRUE CHURCH found in CHRIST
with the abiding faith in CHRIST where the Holy Spirit is absent…. The main element for
the presence of the Holy Scriptures and faith of the people. Amen!
