GES 30TH INAUGURATION ANNIVERSARY SERVICE

Series:

The Divine Election of Ghana as a Star Nation

Central Spiritual Truth: God has sovereignly chosen Ghana to be his dwelling place and the catalyst for the restoration of Africa’s lost glory.

  • The Lord God of hosts has chosen Ghana for His throne and his majestic, glorious works to act as the redeemer of the continent.
  • Ghana is described as the “New Jerusalem,” a name given by God Himself to signify a new church and nation.
  • The “Africa story” and Ghana’s role was declared by the Lord as far back as 1933, marking a long-standing divine plan
  • Ghana’s current standing as a nation of democracy and respect for human rights is not a human feat but the work of God the Creator.
  • The liberation of Ghana serves as a “redemption song” that will eventually free the entire continent of Africa from darkness.

The Spiritual Foundation of Righteousness

Central Spiritual Truth: National exaltation is not found in economic prosperity or pleasure, but in a state of spiritual standing characterized by righteousness.

Scripture Reference: “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.” (Proverbs 14:34).

  • The kingdom of God is defined not by “meat and drink,” but by peace, righteousness, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
  • A “new day” has dawned where the old “spiritual churches” are being swallowed up by a new Evangelical Pentecostal charismatic movement.
  • Prophetic movements operating with familiar spirits are dismissed as foolishness that will soon pass away, leaving only the truth of the gospel.

The Three Conditions for National Blessing

Central Spiritual Truth: For a nation to prosper, it must honor God alone, conduct affairs in the fear of God, and acknowledge Jesus Christ as the sole mediator.

  • The first condition is the exclusive honor of God, which requires Ghana to eschew the worship of ancestors, lagoons, and trees.
  • The second condition involves the government’s duty to defend the poor and weak against fraud and oppression.
  • The third condition is the acceptance of Jesus Christ. Rejecting the Son is tantamount to rejecting the Father.

Scripture Reference: “Kiss the son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way…” Psalm 2:12.

The Role of Government and the Duty of the Church

Central Spiritual Truth: Civil government is an instrument of God intended to supervise justice and protect the needy rather than serve the interests of the powerful.

  • A righteous government should not side with wealthy employers against the poor seeking fair wages.
  • He commends President Kufuor for sacrificing personal interest to travel and make the “African case”.
  • The church is described as the “Apostle, Prophet, and Priest” with a duty to teach the government the way of God.
  • The nation needs a leader with vision who can march the people to rebuild the country through sweat rather than pleasure.

Exhortations, Prayers, and Calls to Action

Central Spiritual Truth: The “new day” of Ghana requires a clean break from satanic consultations and a commitment to projecting righteousness in all public spheres.

  • To Politicians: Desist from consulting “fetish houses,” mallams, or “satanic power” to gain public office, as these powers are being washed away.
  • To the Press: Stop being interested in the “wicked works of darkness” and instead “project,” “preach,” and “exalt” righteousness.
  • To the People: Eschew violence, “pull him down” mentalities, and the “immoral and wicked works of Satanism”.

AMEN.
