A CALL UNTO MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT TO RESIGN (PART1)

Series:

THEME: THE DIVINE TAKEOVER AND THE MANDATE FOR NATIONAL RENEWAL

Blessed be the Most High God, Creator of heaven and earth, and Father of Jesus Christ who in His knowledge, wisdom, counsel, and power has chosen, reconciled, redeemed, rebuilt, restored, and established Ghana—both nation and people—in His Divine Heritage and Destined Glory in the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. God has set up Ghana as a platform, model, and door for entry into eternal Divine Glory in the Kingdom of God and His Christ in Africa, the Gentile nations, and the world. Yes, the Lord God Jehovah Most High has turned Ghana into the light and Star of Divine Glory in Africa and the world.  Hallelujah!

To this effect, He has taken over the country to establish His heavenly ordained and ordered government, dominion, kingdom, and Throne for His reign and rule of the nations on earth through His Son, Jesus Christ—Saviour, Redeemer, Prince of Peace, and King of Glory. The kingdoms of the world will ultimately be turned into and become the Kingdoms of God and His Christ.  Jesus Christ is described hereby, as the King of kings and Lord of lords. Glory to God in the highest. We write this Open Letter to the Parliamentarians of Ghana as His servant, in His name, and for His Divine eternal purposes and glory in redeemed Ghana and her peoples, including present and future generations.  Amen!

The Spirit of God is upon us to call for voluntary and noble resignation of members of Parliament as today stands.  That Parliament be thereby dissolved to allow for fresh elections for a New Parliament for The New Ghana of Divine Heritage of Glory.  This is required to set the stage and make way for Divine ordained and ordered Godly Government and Kingdom Order of Divine Mercy, Blessing, Joy and Glory upon the nation.  Hallelujah!

The call has become necessary for three prime reasons:

i. Extreme politicization, polarization, division and negativity in parliament and nation.

ii. Abuse, dysfunction and failure with free discourse on policy, national interests and participatory oversight of administration and management by the executive.

iii. Corruption, abuse, illegality and illegitimacy, pollution, evil ways and wickedness with constitutional provisions and electoral processes of country.

The factors mentioned above make parliament, as it stands now, bankrupt—spiritually, legally, politically, morally, and culturally. This does not augur well for the nation. In any case, they cannot be conducive and acceptable for peaceful, righteous, and just godly government of the new era.

Parliament is a noble house that stands—and should stand—for the Good, Noble, and Glorious people of Ghana. Parliamentarians, therefore, must be people of righteous, honest, lawful, knowledgeable, faithful, and loyal character. They must be people of deep conviction and courageous—incorruptible, yet of humble disposition in the knowledge and fear of God. These are the people who can enter into a meaningful and effectual covenant with God, the Nation and the People concerning the lives, affairs, and destiny of people and nation. Such are required in all sectors of the political economy, but the more so in politics, government, and the unequivocal noble trust involving national interests, resources, progress, the glory and destiny of the nation. Surely and certainly, we need a new set of parliamentarians—free from the encumbrances of the old and present era—for the Parliament of The New Ghana of Divine Heritage of Glory.  Amen!!

That is to say, there must be A NEW GHANAIAN OF GODLY CHARACTER for Ghana’s Heritage of Glory, a people rooted and grounded in the Law, Light, Way, and Knowledge of God; a people capable of handling Divine and human values of truth and righteousness, integrity and purity, beauty and lasting glory. Jehovah God is determined to raise such a people for the new era.  Hallelujah! Amen!

Now to the current order which must be changed.

A. Extreme politicization, polarization, division and negativity in parliament and country

There is an extreme politicization of Parliament. This has corrupted, polluted, prostituted, and hindered legitimate legislative processes and the righteous, godly, and orderly government of the country. Indeed, deliberative processes have been obstructed, weakening vigilant, meaningful, effective, and responsible debate. It has stifled true, free, and proper representative discourse in the people’s democratic government and effective participatory oversight by all of the conduct of the administration and management of national affairs by the Executive.

This extreme and negative politicization has, in turn, polarized, acerbated, and raised to high mountains division and negative impulses against true and honest discussion for the emergence and pursuit of national interests, the wellbeing of the people, and destiny of the nation. Besides, the negative tendencies might well obstruct and hinder freedom, liberty, and boldness with legislation, policy formulation, and visionary government. Indeed, politicization and polarization have combined to make a fetish of political party affiliation, allegiance, and control in legislative and executive processes, all to the detriment of national development and progress as a whole.

Finally, a state of mistrust, intolerance, division, and disunity has been created among the nation and people. Love and loyalty to the nation and the people have thus been compromised, undermined, jettisoned, and substituted with private individual, parochial, and party interests. The culture of public debate and discourse on national affairs has, without a doubt, been stifled as a result.

B. Failure, abuse, dysfunction of parliament

Second, there is failure of Parliament to take high-stakes, bold, courageous, strong, and decisive initiative to confront the deep-seated corruption, robbery, and malfeasance concerning national finances, budgetary control, the oversight of national resources and the development and progress of the country. This is an open and non-debatable reality.  Indeed, on the whole, there seems to have been little or no genuine, real, and serious commitment, responsibility, and accountability for set goals and the pursuit thereof for years.

In this regard, there is no gainsaying that performance with unity and effective participatory parliamentary debate, scrutiny, and control of legislation, public policy, national finances, the well-being of the people and progress of the country has been reduced to game-playing, abuse, and thus mockery of the legislative process. The dignity, integrity, and functionality of the Legislature as a necessary and legitimate institutional wing of government can be said to have been syphoned off and robbed of its full potential to meet expectations.

C. Abuse, Corruption, Illegality and Illegitimacy, Pollution, Evil Ways and Wickedness with Constitutional Provisions and Electoral Processes.

The greatest misfortune, unfortunate development, and challenge with government in the nation today has to do with the electoral processes—both at the political party and national levels. The electoral processes in the land are abused, mismanaged and set aside through corruption and collusion, immoral, illegal and evil ways, and outright wickedness, corruption and lawlessness is the culture. Parliamentary aspirants corrupt, disregard and pollute party constitutional electoral processes by bribing, buying, colluding with, coercing and controlling political party electoral delegates to ensure nomination on party ticket. They proceed from there to bribe and buy votes, buy their way and coerce prospective voters into negative alliances and conduct. They coerce voters through bribery, curses, lies, threats, et al in dubious, evil, and wicked ways. They even go to the extent of bribing, coercing, marshaling, and enslaving national electoral officers in the dispatch of their duties.

We need not enumerate here the possible or real immoral, corrupt, and illegal ways by which elections are rigged, rendered illegitimate, and made a mockery of through collusion with national agencies—including as it is the Electoral Commission, the Police, Military, and other agencies who are hired and paid by the people to serve the nation and the people. Such dishonest, immoral, illegal, and illegitimate practices with the electoral processes make nonsense the noble term “HONOURABLE” for parliamentarians. It is unfortunate in this connection that honorable citizens seeking constituency and national acceptance and accreditation as people’s representatives can stoop so low with conscienceless, immoral, illegal, unrighteous, unjust, dishonest, evil, and wicked practices. In such practices, the “Honorables” institutionalize and mandate as it is corruption, lawlessness, illegality, and illegitimacy in the conduct, character, and culture in parliamentary electoral process in particular and politics in general in the land.

There are also dark, demonic, occultic, blood, and satanic practices behind the scenes. These and others make politics a vocation only the corrupt, lawless, immoral, callous, wicked, and satanic can join. Yet, it is possible not all are guilty; surely, there are noble characters, lawful, and responsible citizens in the politics of the nation. However, on the whole, we have an ominous, wicked, and destructive spirit, conduct, and culture in open and abandoned practice in the land.  Let honest academics, righteous, holy clerics, loyal politicians, and noble citizens face this truth and not cloud it with disingenuous complicity, rhetoric, and call for evidence.  A little leaven is enough.

There is still light and hope for the country. Fresh, honest, and clean elections can disperse the darkness. We need to build legal, righteous, and legitimate institutions and practices.  We must raise New Politicians, Parliamentarians, and Citizens for Holy, Sound, Righteous, and Trustworthy institutions of noble culture as themselves. Now is the time for TOTAL CHANGE—for a new holy and godly order of politicians, legislators, ministers of state, and public officers for the New Ghana.  Amen!

In Part II, we will discuss the way forward
