A VISION FOR GOD’S HABITATION

Series:

SERMON INSIGHTS

Beloved, I thank God for your patience as we will consider the profound message from this conference. The Lord is speaking to us about the significance of these days, and how we are bringing a great change to the affairs of creation, at this moment.

I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the house of the Lord. Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem. Psalm 122, the first four verses.

  1. The Glorious Prospect of God’s Presence

We must consider the staggering prospect of a new world order. The Lord God Most High is calling His church, and people, and nations, to consider His place, His plans, His works, and possibilities for a new world order. What a joyful world it will be when the Creator, the source of all things, comes, and dwells with and among His creation, taking full charge in supreme and sovereign control over all things.

The absence of God in human affairs or affairs of creation has brought what? Confusion, disorder, chaos and hopelessness but when this creator comes to be admitted in the midst of his creation, this rebellion or disobedience is quashed. The whole world becomes the habitation of God, not just the Footstool, but habitation. In other words, what will the earth become? Heaven.

We are stirred by the Spirit of God to declare, I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the house of the Lord. Pray for the peace of whom? Jerusalem. They shall prosper who what? Love thee. Because of the house of the Lord, I will seek thy good.

  1. The Mandate to Rebuild Nations

The Lord’s vision is to reconcile, redeem, and restore beauty, joy and glory to His creation. The divine vision is a totally new world of nations and people living in peace, harmony and joy as one people together with the rest of creation. Behold the former things have come to pass and new things do, Isaiah chapter 42 verse 9 particularly.

Christ’s mission as he declared in Luke 4 verses 18 and 19 is to set captives free. Jesus came to rebuild nations, to repair cities, nations and peoples from desolation of past generations. (Isaiah 6: 11 to 6). The vision of God’s world has in fact come with mandate to order and establish government and having kingdom order on earth. Isaiah 9: 6 and 7.

The church has a nation building response. In fact, the church is a nation building organ of God in every nation. The abandonment of nation-building by the church is not just a shaking of responsibility, but it’s an unrighteousness and I almost said today, abomination.

III. The Three-Tier Mission Agenda

Nation-building is a necessary and integral part of the Great Commission. It is a spiritual and social arrangements.

The church’s nation-building is of a three-tier mission agenda comprising of:

  1. Reconciliation: The reconciliation of nation and people with God. Reconciliation is a key issue in nation building such as with new births for people. The message of reconciliation is that this nation must overthrow the Satan man control systems. (2nd Corinthians chapter 5: 17 to what? Acts what? 26 and 18).
  2. Establishment of Righteousness: The establishment of righteousness, and with it, godly conduct of people. Seeking first the kingdom and what? His righteousness. Matthew 6: 33. Righteousness exalts a nation.
  3. Transformation of Spiritual and Social Order: The transformation of spiritual and social order, and the establishment of godly path of glory and culture for nations and peoples.

The Great Commission envisages therefore a new people, a nation redeemed, established, organized, and ministered to and govern in obedience and harmony with the vision, order, and establishment by Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28, 18 to 20).

I will end on this note: Let us go for it! Amen.
