A VISION FOR GOD’S HABITATION

Series:

SERMON INSIGHTS

  1. The Prophetic Vision of Divine Habitation

Central Spiritual Truth: The ultimate goal of creation is for the earth to transition from being merely God’s “footstool” to becoming His “habitation,” where His supreme and sovereign control is fully admitted. It is for the earth to become God’s recognized habitation where His sovereign control is admitted and celebrated.

  • The Power of Proclamation: Bro. Enoch emphasizes that this is not a “paradigm shift” but a “great change to the affairs of creation” brought about by the “declarations of the Lord”. Hearing these declarations releases both faith and literal “power” to bring the vision to pass.
  • The Scenario of Presence: To illustrate the power of habitation, imagine inviting God into a literal room in your house; In this state, “there’s no need even to fast and pray” because His mere presence is the “fulfillment of all things” removing the need even to ask for basic needs.
  • The Conflict of the “Fixed Address”: The current world is described as in “confusion, disorder, chaos, and hopelessness” because of the rebellion of Lucifer and the disobedience of Adam. Satan is described as a squatter “without fixed address” making a “temporary abode” in creation deceiving people into worshipping even the sun, moon, and stars.
  • The End of Creation Worshipping Creation: Because of the absence of God’s acknowledged presence, creation has been deceived into worshipping the sun, moon, and stars. When the Owner (God) comes, this rebellion is “quashed” and all things will “submit and perform gloriously”. When the Creator is admitted into the midst of His creation, the “confusion, disorder, chaos, and hopelessness” caused by the disobedience of Adam is brought to an end.
  • Ghana as “Beulah Land”: If a nation like Ghana invites the Creator to find a dwelling place, the earth becomes heaven, for “heaven is where God dwells”. Ghana is redeemed so that God finds a “dwelling place” there. The “new nation of Ghana” is declared as a “heritage and destiny of glory” intended for God’s abiding presence and supreme control.
  • Scripture Reference: “I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the house of the Lord. Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem. Jerusalem is built as a city that is compact together.” (Psalm 122:1-3).
  1. The Church as a Nation-Building Organ

Central Spiritual Truth: Nation-building is an integral part of the Great Commission, requiring the church to serve as a spiritual and social mechanism for national management.

  • The Rejection of Secularism: Christians must “never accept secularism”. Abandoning national affairs to politicians and businessmen is labeled “unrighteousness” and an “abomination”. The moment a Christian accepts secularism, they are effectively saying that God has not sent them to “rebuild things”.
  • To accept secularism is to abandon the “nation-building function of the church,” which is an integral part of the Great Commission.
  •   Leaving national affairs solely to politicians and businessmen is not seen as a neutral choice but is explicitly labeled as “unrighteousness” and an “abomination”.
  • The Three-Tier Mission Agenda: There are three specific strategies for the church:
  1. Reconciliation: Bringing the nation and its people back into peace with God to remove “wrath and judgment”.
  2. Establishment of Righteousness: Instilling godly conduct and new value systems.
  3. Transformation of Order: Creating a new spiritual and social order and “godly path of glory”.
  • Reconstruction vs. Infrastructure: Nation-building is defined not as “cement and stones” or “schools and hospitals,” but as the “rebuilding of nations with foundational gates repaired” through “knowledge and wisdom of God”.
  • The King-Priest Mandate: Believers are identified as both “priests” and “kings” who must run their homes and companies according to the revealing knowledge” of Jesus Christ.
  • Prophetic Watchman Role: The church must act as a “watchman” to declare the mind of God regarding “unrighteousness,” which serves to rebuild the spiritual walls of the country and repair the “desolations of past generations”.

Scripture Reference: “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder… Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end…” (Isaiah 9:6-7).

III. The Blueprint for Social Reconstruction

Central Spiritual Truth: National transformation requires a systematic process of reconciliation, the establishment of righteousness, and the reconstruction of social order. Godly governance and social rehabilitation are achieved through the models of Ezra and Nehemiah, moving beyond human philosophies to divine order.

  • National New Birth: Just as an individuals must be born again, nations must “distance and separate themselves” from “Satan-man control systems” and “generational curses”.
  • The Ezra-Nehemiah Model:
  • Ezra: Championed the “worship and observance of the truth, light, and love”.
  • Nehemiah: Championed “social reconstruction” and “rearranged social arrangements” to deal with the “evil and ills within society”.
  • The church must follow Ezra’s championing of “truth, light, and love” alongside Nehemiah’s “social reconstruction” to address the “evil and ills within society”.
  • Righteousness as the Standard: Righteousness is established through “teaching and discipling” the entire nation, creating new “behavior patterns” that exalt the nation.
  • The “Banner of Christ”: The church is exhorted to march through the land with the “banner of Christ Jesus,” establishing a “veritable mission standard” of righteousness, joy, and hope.
  • Reconciliation of Nations: The primary tier of the mission is the reconciliation of the nation with God so that He may “withdraw the curses, the wrath and judgment” abiding since Eden.
  • The Instrument of Change: The Christian faith is a “veritable instrument or tool” for social and cultural transformation, superior to human philosophies like psychology.
  • The Ghana Evangelical Society (GES) Legacy: The speaker cites a 40-year mission specifically focused on “rebuilding the broken walls of Ghana” based on the books of Haggai, Ezra, and Nehemiah.

Scripture Reference: “Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare before they spring forth I tell you of them” (Isaiah 42:9).

Exhortations and Calls to Action

  • A Call for Personal Desire: You must desire this for your home, declaring that wherever you purchase as a possession,” that place becomes “subject to the will and glory of God”.
  • A Call to Repentance: we ought to repent of following churches that have “abandoned the faith” for financial benefit or “interfaith movements” that deny Christ as the only way.
  • A Call to Nation-Building: The final exhortation is for the church to “march among the people” and “go for it”—the establishment of a new kingdom order under the reign of Christ.

AMEN.
