THEME: AFRICA MUST REJECT SPIRITUAL BONDAGE TO ACHIEVE ITS DESTINY 

Blessed be the Name of the Most High God who has given humanity salvation, redemption, hope and rich inheritance in His Son Jesus Christ, Saviour of the World. 

In Christ Jesus, God the Father has not only brought man nigh unto Himself, He has opened the door of victory and divine glory unto humanity so man can conquer all things and take full control over the earth, for the praise and glory of Him, the Most High God. 

We remember in this regard Jesus Christ’s mission statement: 

“The spirit of the lord is upon me because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,  To preach deliverance to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed To preach the acceptable year of the LORD” (Luke 4:18-19)” 

Concerning Africa, the Lord Jesus Christ declared to me recently, 

 “Africa is a continent of mass poverty and a graveyard, a continent of pity of heavy and deep proportions. No one in Africa is free, rich and poor, strong and weak, mighty and powerful, aged and young, learned and ignorant; all are weak in the hands of spirits and powers of darkness.  Africa is a continent of confusion, disorder and no direction”. 

According to Him, the African man’s spirit is held by strong chains of poverty with no vision nor desire for progress. Africa’s leaders are trapped or engaged in spiritual adventures for power to dominate and oppress, power to perpetuate the chain of poverty, not power to liberate from poverty, power to possess with no use or plans for the use of such possessions; power to perpetuate oppression and exploitation, not power to liberate and set free the oppressed and exploited, power to elevate and worship death, not power to elevate and give life. The African leader lived and he is living so others must die, and all are in fact dying.  The pity is that he himself is also dead. Death is the icing, master and lord of life in Africa. 

Death can strike at any time.  The African is therefore gripped with fear, fear of death.  Death is the abiding reality on the continent of Africa. 

By death, the Lord refers not so much to death from dirt, disease and poverty as the human spirit gripped in the hands of powers of darkness, and a state of hopelessness and fear, the lack of vision, without desire or effort for progress and life. 

This is background to poverty and backwardness, oppression and exploitation, confusion and bondage, in short, darkness and death in Africa.  Christ’s mission of salvation, healing and deliverance is the open door of escape, Reconciliation, liberation, redemption and glorification by Christ is the Way. 

Christ brings possibilities of victory and hope in God. There is hope in God with Africa’s bewildering and confused state of affairs.  All is not lost. 

THE SONG OF HOPE 

Hope in God the Creator is the spirit of Psalm 27.  Africa must have confidence and hope in the will, power and works of God in her predicament. With God there is hope for the oppressed, exploited and dominated peoples everywhere.  When Satan and his hosts of darkness hold in bondage, dominate and control affairs, when leaders and fathers kill, oppress and exploit, when foreigners rob, steal and exploit, there is ONE who is willing, ready and capable to deliver and take good care of Africa. God the Creator acting by and through Jesus Christ, Saviour, Redeemer and Mighty One is the One.  He is the one to seek.  His face must we seek.  On Him Africa can wait with sure hope.  Amen. 

The Spirit of the Lord would want me to recommend this song of hope under the theme, trust in the LORD and be not afraid to all Africa.   

There is also yet another message for Africa: Princes will come out of Egypt; Ethiopia will quickly stretch out her hands unto God” (Psalm 68: 31). This is a vision, a revelation and a promise as to what God intends to do in Africa. 

AFRICA TRUST AND HAVE HOPE IN GOD 

God has in His mind a time when He will descend on the spiritual and political scene of Africa, a time when He will deliver and liberate Africa from Satan and her oppressors, and from darkness and death. This is the basic essence of the presence and mission of the Church in Africa. 

Now, the basic problem with Africa’s liberation or nation building efforts has been the lack of knowledge and honor to God, or rather the deliberate rejection and rebellion against God the Creator by Africa’s leaders and people. 

Accordingly, there have not been any proper analysis of the reality of the damning effect of the dark forces and controlling spirits in Africa’s political and cultural heritage, tribal rivalry and wars and for that matter the present day oppressive and exploitative, non-liberating and non-progressive leadership.  

According to the LORD Jesus Christ, Africa’s leaders are imbued with the spirit of power to possess, hold, control and oppress.  Thus, even the liberating spirit behind the democratic institutions borrowed from Euro-America has been rejected and replaced with the African dominating, oppressive and exploitative spirit.   

Africa must turn away from the idols, charms, familiar spirits and wizards if we shall find our feet and make any progress. The God, Light and controlling Spirit behind Euro-American acclaimed civilization, culture and progress is Christ Jesus, The Light and King of Glory, and not the demons of Europe, the shrines of Africa or the temples of Asia. 

Herein lies hope in the goodness of God.  God will arise and scatter His enemies, declares the Psalmist!  The perverse spirit, the rebellious and proud powers, the wicked rulers of Africa will be overthrown and cast out. Spiritual deliverance will lead to political liberation, cultural transformation and social progress. 

NEW LEADERS, NEW CITIZENS, NEW AFRICA 

A generation of leaders and citizens will spring up, who will Seek, Know, Worship and Honor the true and living GOD, the God of reverence for the Psalmist. This generation will seek to know, cherish and honor life, liberty, freedom and justice.  It will be a generation that will understand love and work for Peace and Progress. With them liberation from foreign rule must be followed by liberation from satanic, wicked and inhibitive forces of oppression, poverty, darkness and death, tradition and customs. This is why God in His mercy and eternal plan is seeking and raising men and women who will lead Africa unto true repentance and reconciliation in true Holy and acceptable Worship and Prayer unto Him so He will heal Africa. Africa shall enter a realm of Peace, Righteousness and Justice, Life, Light, Love and Liberty, Hope and Progress in the knowledge and fear of the Creator. This is the Vision, Will and Plan of God for Africa.  Africa shall be Free; yes, Africa is Free.  Hallelujah. 

NOW IS THE HOUR 

Now is the appointed time. Now is the Hour of Africa’s deliverance, liberation, restoration and glory.  Now will the Church of God march through the land with the Good News of Redemption. 

LET US CELEBRATE AFRICA’S HOPE IN GOD 

Princes shall come out of Egypt, Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands to God, Sing unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth, O sing praises unto the Lord 

O People of Africa, there is hope for Africa.  Jesus the Mighty One shall deliver Africa.  The Lord of Hosts shall heal and redeem Africa and restore Africa’s lost glory.  Now is the Hour!   

In this task, saith the Lord, “Ghana shall be the focal point of the movement of My Spirit”.  

Let us take the Song of Liberation and Hope for Africa across the continent.  God is moving over Africa with healing in His wings.  The sleeping giant shall arise, and A NEW AFRICA will emerge.  Glory be to God in the Highest. Amen and Amen
