THEME: GHANA, A NEW PEOPLE, A NEW NATION UNDER GOD 

PREAMBLE 

Peace be unto you! We greet this great HOLY and AUGUST GATHERING of Government and Church, Nation and People, Chiefs and Elders, Ministers of Church and State, Saints and Believers in God the Creator, and Citizens and Friends of Ghana and Africa, in the name of the Most High God. Our Gathering is unto God the Creator, the Father and Hope of Man, Spirits, Powers, and all Creation. We humbly request all present to stand up in silent acknowledgement and honor of God, followed by a rapturous clap and shouts of praise and hallelujah to the God of Ghana.  

Let me, on behalf of The Ghana Evangelical Society (GES) and on my own behalf, acknowledge the Presence of The Ga Mantse, The National Imam, Nobles and Eminent of Church, Media, and Nation present. We stand on behalf of the Almighty God and Nation to thank and bless Jehovah God for your coming.  We are gathered here on a mission of great spiritual, historical, and practical significance. We are persuaded that the gathering and the proceedings here will establish a spiritual and cultural platform for a covenant between God and Ghana as a Church, Nation, and People of God. 

We are happy to announce, in this regard, that THE NATIONAL REDEMPTION DAY CELEBRATION is a time of acknowledgement, thanksgiving, praise, and honor to GOD for His Election, Choosing, Deliverance, Redemption, and Establishment of our nation Ghana as His Chosen Nation and People— the Star Of Africa—for His Praise and Kingdom Glory in Africa and the world. We of the Ghana Evangelical Society, and the Church Body as a whole, in the land have been actively involved in Spiritual Warfare and Practical Measures of reconciliation, deliverance, and redemption to lift Ghana from the spiritual, political, and cultural doldrums of darkness and death, captivity, oppression, desolation, and control under Satan and the Satan-Man alliance and Kingdom Order in the nations and human affairs. 

This has set Ghana free from Divine Eternal Damnation and hopelessness in the satanic oppression and captivity.  As the Lord Himself has put it: “GHANA IS FREE: AFRICA IS FREE.”  This implies that the deliverance and redemption of Ghana is akin to Africa is Free. That is to say, Ghana’s redemption has set the stage for the reconciliation, redemption, and restoration of glory to Africa in God, under His Kingdom Order and Reign and Rule in Africa. 

INTRODUCTION 

“GHANA IS FREE: AFRICA IS FREE” ushers in a new spiritual and social order after God, established in the Will, Law, Light, Way, and Knowledge of God. That is to say, the Divine redemption of Ghana has created condition for A New People and thus A New Nation of God and under God. For example, Ghanaians can now claim rightly that they are of God—or the Creatures, Peoples, and Worshippers of God the Creator—because they have thrown away the spiritual, political, and socio-cultural arrangements of traditions, customs, and practices under the dictates and control of gods, goddesses, and deities—beings in lagoons, rivers, and seas, forests, hills and mountains, and the worship of animals, birds and fishes, snakes, stones, and trees.   

It is true to say in this regard that the gods, spirits, and powers people worship determine their spiritual and religious practices, their politics, and culture, their belief system and character. Thus, idolatrous, blood-stained, violent, oppressive, power-drunk, wicked leadership in African tradition and culture, politics, and governance are a reflection not much of political and social conditions, but primarily of the gods and goddesses of the Satan-Man alliance in Africa. Tribal, war-torn, violent, unstable, insecure, and poverty-ridden Africa is the product of wicked, oppressive, blood-drinking gods and wicked oppressive, violent power-drunk leaders. It is this old order of idolatry, blood oppression, violence, and wickedness that the Most High God has come to deliver and redeem Africa, set her free, re-order, and establish her in His love, mercy, goodness, blessedness, providence, and joy in the worship of Him. 

The vision is for A New People and A New Nation of God, after God, and under God. The new people of Ghana will not just be people freed from captivity to satanic oppression and control and human wickedness, but also a people Born Anew by the Spirit of God—redeemed from the old Sin-Satan-Death dominated nature, weakness, and culture. Not only that, but the New Ghana will also be inherited by a people delivered from the old order of gods and goddesses, ancestral spirits and deities, idolatry, blood sacrifices, violence, wars, wickedness, and satanic dominance and control. In short, the vision implies a New People, A New Spiritual, Political, and Cultural Order. The new spiritual, political, and cultural order will be determined and established by reference to the Will, Light, Way, and Knowledge of God. We will discuss the three areas of spiritual, political, and cultural arrangements but briefly. 

THE SPIRITUAL ORDER 

The fundamental change required for the New People of Ghana and Africa is the transfer of Trust, Faith, and Hope in the power of Satan to the power of God.  “To open their eyes and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.” (Acts 26: 18)  The transfer of trust in the power of Satan to that of God closes on a note of Faith in Jesus Christ.   

The Bible treats FAITH IN CHRIST not only as the door of remission from sin, justification, righteousness, salvation, and redemption, but also the door of entry into the Divine Nature (the New Birth) and Second, The Kingdom of God (John 1: 12-13; 3: 3-6; Ephesians 1: 3-10). It is Faith in Christ that establishes us in Divine Righteousness, Redemption, Divine Nature, and Kingdom of God. The Bible treats those who come to God the Creator through Faith in Jesus Christ not only as people who have rejected and broken the covenant of Satan-man alliance—characterized by rebellion, disobedience, and rejection of the worship of God—but also as a NEW CREATION or new spiritual beings who have taken on the Divine Nature of God after Jesus Christ. It is these new Spirit-Beings, or Born-Again Saints, that constitute the nucleus of the New People of and after God in the nations of the world. They are the Divine inheritance in the nations and among the peoples of the world. The gladdening news in this regard is that the Most High God does not confine His blessings and favors only to the Born Again; He makes them represent Him as Servants, Soldiers, Ambassadors, Agents, Instruments, and Vessels of change, Divine Will, Godly Order, and Blessings in the nations. This is the true Church and People of God. 

Furthermore, the Church has been given the charge, authority, and power to disciple the peoples of the nation on the Will, Law, Commandments, Light, and Way of God (Matthew 28: 18-20; Isaiah 2: 1-5), so the peoples and nations will come to know God, reject Satan, and observe the knowledge of God and Divine order as basis of their lives and conduct. 

Further, the Church has been charged and equipped to wage war against Satan and deliver peoples and nations from the satanic control and order. This creates a distinctive spiritual atmosphere free from the Satan oppression, dominion, and control in the spiritual realms as well as in practical social terms. Satan became defeated and totally rejected and prevented from having dominion over tribes and people. The said people become free. This is the case of Ghana today. The Church in Ghana has fought many battles—what we call Kingdom Battles—to set Ghana free and raise the Christian Faith, the Church, and the worship of God to new heights in the land.  Ghana is FREE from the satanic oppression, dominion, and control in the spiritual realms. Hallelujah!  

THE POLITICAL ORDER 

It is imperative that if the Spiritual Liberation will be sustained, there must be changes in the political order also—specifically: 

i. in the governance, reign, and rule of the people 

ii. in political structures after the knowledge of God and His Righteousness 

iii. in law and order ordered, set in place, stipulated, and observed in the law, statutes and justice system of the land. 

The Bible envisions that the governance, political, social, and kingdom order of the New People of God should be ordered and established by and after Jesus Christ (Isaiah 9: 6-7; 42: 1-13). We call this the Christ (Messianic) Government and Kingdom Order. Thus, in a country such as Ghana, there must be a formal acknowledgement and tentative submission to Jesus Christ as God, King, and Lord in the spiritual terms as well as in the political arrangements such as the constitution, laws, and statute, and the law-making machinery of the land. For example, the mention of “God” in the Constitution of Ghana must have a clear understanding of the Spiritual Connection and Identification of Jesus Christ as Son of the Living God and one to whom the Kingdom of God on earth is assigned.  

THE CULTURAL ORDER 

Its follows, therefore, that the dominant culture of Ghana needs a fresh appraisal and review in the Light of the New Ghana, New King, and New Law of the country. Not only that, the culture in Ghana needs a total investigation to remove the vestiges of Satan and human wicked oppressive and dominating features that not only reject God but also subject families and tribes, people, and nation to the Satan-Man alliance heritage. 

In this particular respect, the greatest need for review and transformation in the New Ghana shall be Chieftaincy, Traditions, Customs, and Cultural Practice where gods, goddesses, and ancestral spirits and powers— as well as blood sacrifices and dark practices dominate the scene— (the grace of Ga Mantse’s presence; The Jehovah-God rejection phenomenon).  It is true before God, spirits, and men that many families, tribes, and peoples in Ghana are held captive to Satan, demons, and untoward practices. Men are born free as it were, but everywhere in chains not to sin as such but to the claws of gods and demons, tradition, and culture.  The so-called “modern” society is also not free, as it remains in bondage to human passions and expression that are vulgar, disdainful, and ugly. 

GHANA THE NEW PEOPLE OF GOD 

The Spiritual, Political, and Cultural Transformation in the new era will, in the final analysis, lead to A New Spiritual and Social Order of political, social, and cultural patterns built upon trust and hope in God, religious and social-cultural order dictated by the Holy Scriptures, and underlying acknowledgement, honor, and knowledge of God. 

Now, the Ghana delivered and redeemed from the Satan human spiritual and social order, ordered and established in Trust and Hope of God through Faith in Jesus Christ will bring Ghana into the pleasure, blessedness, and direct works and control of the Hand of God. In Isaiah 61, the Bible suggests a spiritual and social reformation and reconstruction that will deliver Ghana and Africa from captivity and desolation of many generations. Similarly, Isaiah 62: 3-6 envisage Ghana which has passed from desolation, been married, and turned into a “Royal Diadem” and A “Crown of Glory” in the Hand of God. 

CONCLUSION 

GHANA, A NEW PEOPLE of GOD, has been attained through the deliverance, redemption of the country, and her establishment as Beulah Land and God Kingdom Glory State. The redemption and transformation of Ghana started, strictly speaking, with the overthrow of British foreign control, followed by the overthrow of the Nkrumah-CPP regime, which was turning Ghana from satanic-foreign rule to a “home-brewed” Satan-man oppressive and dominating system. 

The fall of Nkrumah opened the stage for reconciliation and return to God, and reconstruction of the country in the knowledge of God and sound spiritual and religious undertones. Years 1973 to 2005 witnessed great battles—Kingdom battles—at the spiritual, religious, political, and socio-cultural realms of the country. 

The Ghana Evangelical Society (GES) has spearheaded the spiritual, political, and cultural battles to set Ghana Free. Hence, we have had this privilege to institute THE NATIONAL REDEMPTION DAY CELEBRATION, which started three years ago. We thank you for your response to the GATHERING of GHANA UNTO GOD and HOPE. Tomorrow, we will consider the path for the reconstruction of Ghana into full glory as a nation and people under God. We are confident you will be with us to catch a full glimpse of the politico-economic and socio-cultural arrangements to establish Ghana in Peace, Progress, and Prosperity in the Hand and Knowledge of God. 

The final truth here is that GOD HAS SET UP HIS THRONE of GLORY IN GHANA.  Ghana is a shining nation of Divine Light and Glory in the spirit.
