THEME: NATIONAL SALVATION AND TRANSFORMATION THROUGH THE REDEMPTIVE POWER OF GOD’S WORD 

We give thanks and praise to God for His goodness, mercy, and faithfulness, and for the power of His Spirit and Word by which He has kept the earth and the universe on a consistent and reliable course throughout the ages. By His goodness and mercy, and by the Power of the truth of His word and His mighty hand, He has kept Ghana intact and unified in peace, joy, and hope of glory as Beulah Land, Star of Africa. 

By His righteousness, justice, and majestic covenant glory, He saved chosen Ghana from sorrow, and mourning, uncharted political waters, and chaos. Twice, and many more times, the LORD God Jehovah saved the King, President John A. Kufuor from death.  Glory to God; God has made Ghana glad. He opened the bowels of His mercies and poured out His blessings upon the nation, gave wisdom, direction, and protection to the Leaders in all spheres of the country, and directed the ship of state in safe and calm waters.  By His Mighty hand, peace and goodwill have been the reality and testimony of Jubilee Year 2007. God has thereby put a new song in our mouths as nation and people.  Because of this, we enter year 2008 in peace, stability, and hope of work and greater joys. We have cause to rejoice with trust, confidence, and songs of praise and thanksgiving.  Glory Hallelujah.  

Nonetheless, we must not lose sight of the remnants and attempts at the resurgence of the old order of Satanism and idolatry, the works of demonic hosts and human wickedness dominated by fallen angels, familiar spirits, sorcery, witchcraft, pain and destruction unleased on peoples through dark political, religious, and cultural practices. The prevalent spiritual cultural forces responsible for darkness, backwardness, and poverty, the evil works of spirits and men acting against freedom and liberty, peace, and progress of the country are yet to be fully controlled or reduced in their impact on lives and affairs of the nation.  

These forces are still fouling the air of peace, stability, and hope for progress. For example, there seems to be resurgence of recourse to satanic power, demonic craftiness, and intrigue and human wickedness in the name of politics, religion, and culture. But nothing is as alarming in this respect as the lack of the knowledge regarding the way of God, divine mercy, life, light, and liberty revealed and made manifest in Jesus Christ the Son given as Saviour, Reconciler, Redeemer, and Hope for people and nations. Thus, instead of the truth, love, life, light, and liberty found in Jesus Christ and the Scriptures, some churches, chiefs, politicians, and businesspeople have turned to deceptive teachings and practices. They engage in worship and acts dominated by fallen angels, familiar spirits and demonic hosts. Corruption, greed and the craze for money, power, and fame have become viewed as virtues, lifestyles and life goals for millions, including many youths, parents, and teachers. 

There has arisen a host of false apostles, prophets, bishops, teachers, and religious gurus, so-called men and women of God who trade in falsehood and deception, graft, greed, and vanity. They promote wickedness and the worship of Satan, human ego, spirits, power, and material success. Many people have fallen victim to this fraud and disruptive conduct in the name of God and religion. Indeed, the whole nation is beset with and is bleeding from “Balaamism”, corruption, graft, greed, and open wickedness.  

With these development, the LORD Jesus Christ wants the church, government, and people to know that it is only God by the power of the Holy Spirit and the truth, light, and wisdom of God in the scriptures that can save, equip, and help the nation establish sound, righteous, and just rule and conduct. Only by the power of the Voice of God can the nation meet the challenges, craftiness and destruction of Satan and wicked Men. The word of God can help build righteous, just and equitable relations, discipline and sound conduct at home, school, and the workplace. It is salvation to the believer and light unto their path. The truth is that the word of God is spirit, life, and power.  It has cohesive and transformative power, that is also eruptive and corrosive, which when taught and administered properly can help deal with systems, structures and threats of Satanism, negative human passions, and conduct and bring to naught the exploitative and oppressive works of Satan and men, spirits and powers.  

The word of God is rich in revelation of God, the truth, and knowledge of Him and His Ways, and Power for righteous and honest living is a spiritual weapon mightier in effect in dealing with human perversion, spiritual corruption, satanic oppression, and the untoward and wicked works of spirits and men (2 Corinthians 10: 4 – 5). 

Above all, it helps to build and establish a society of trust, righteous and honest dealings and loyal citizenry in the knowledge and fear, love and light, power and wisdom of God. Law, History and Philosophy, Psychology and the social and physical sciences have no matching power. In the wisdom and power of the Voice of God, mercy and truth meet together, righteousness and peace kiss each other, Truth shall spring out of the earth, and righteousness look down from heaven.  From the Voice of God, the land shall be healed Psalm 85: 9 – 12. The Bible declares in this respect that the word of God is the power of God unto salvation to all who believe. This includes individuals, families, and nations.  (Rom. 1: 16 – 17; Psalm 19: 7 – 11; 2nd Tim 2: 15 – 17).  Let us worship God in Spirit and in Truth. 

Let Ghana Repent and turn to the voice (Word) of GOD.
