SERMON TITLE: Know who you are

SYNOPSIS

Originally man was to have dominion over the earth, but Jesus Christ has come not only to give power back to man on earth but also to open heaven that man can have communication with God and then go to heaven.

TRANSCRIPT

We are blessed to be here tonight. And the Lord has decided to visit us, and I’m privileged to be one of the instruments to reveal, explain and make sure that this visit is acknowledged. Yesterday he revealed to us that they put him in the grave, and they rolled a stone to make sure that he never rose again and yet, when he decided to rise, the stone itself gave way because the stone is part of its creation, the stone heard his voice. And so powers and spirits and men have combined to make sure that the gospel of Jesus Christ does not go forth and they have tried from nation to nation and people to people to make sure that the good intentions of God in sending Jesus Christ according to Psalm 2 is avoided and that they will break the cord of God and that they will reject God and the anointed and have nothing to do with God and they have made sure to their mind that the gospel cannot prosper in the affairs of creation. Two thousand years ago he made the offer, and he opened the gates of heaven.

He gave the church power. He told the church that I give you power, and the gates of hell cannot prevail against you, and he told the church that I have given you the keys to heaven.

Jesus said except a man is born again he cannot see much more enter the kingdom. He offered himself by the blood, he offered himself by his spirit, he offered himself by opening the gates of heaven and said I am the door. So, whoever wants to go to the father must go through me. I am the way; I am the truth, and I am life. He is not saying I am teaching you the way, I am teaching you the truth, I am teaching you the way of life or what life is but I am. The religious people, the prophets will talk about the father, but he said I and the father are one. The prophets are giving words to speak. When the father or the spirit of God does not come upon the prophet he cannot speak. In the church today I will prophesy over you the prophets say. That is all foolishness of course. It is all foolishness because nobody speaks except by the spirit of God. The prophet speaks not by his mind or his understanding, but the spirit uses his vocal cord and gives the message to the people that they will hear but these days people like to hear what you will say, and they try to imagine what you want to hear. They tell you that I prophesy over you. One of the greatest jokes is that “I can see that your car is coming to Terma port, and somebody will come and give you key”. You see all these are liars. False prophets, no they are not even prophets, liars and you see he will say it so that you feel. The Bible says they want things itching to their ears

The Bible also talks about familial spirits. The familial spirits are hovering around us. They know our culture, they know our mindset, they know what is happening in society so they can say things and think that it is a prophecy, it is a liar, it is a thief and a robber. It is a way to get you to submit to that power and all this is supposed to be in the name of this great one, Lord Jesus. Tonight, as I said in the morning, the Lord said we shall address the flock, the church.

Yesterday it was to the spirits and powers who claim that they have power. Those who claim that they are gods. Those who say they have kingdoms. He was addressing the gods, the powers and the truth. Even the sun has never claimed to be God, yet people are worshipping the sun and the moon and the stars because there is a power that pretends that it controls the sun and therefore, if you want him, he will tell you the moon or show you stars or show you the sun then you worship these things but it is not the sun, the moon or the stars but the power. There are rivers where we can’t even drink from the water unless the fetish priest comes and pours libation. I remember I was in Ejisu, there’s a fish in the river in Ejisu and nobody eats the fish except the fetish priest in Ejisu. Theres also another river that doesn’t allow compensation and always does whatever he pleases so, if somebody goes and curses you, that god is a specialist in destroying. These are the things we call God, and we worship.

Darkness has darkened our minds and has filled us with darkness, death and hell. So, God says, I give the church power, and the gates of hell cannot prevail against you. How then can we go back? We don’t know who we are in Christ and these few days, we are placing the King of Glory back in our lives, in the church, in our nation and in the world.

The Lord reminded me of something this afternoon. My father said, “my son, do you remember the ark?” When Noah was preaching of the ark, they were making mockery of him. So, people have made sure that people don’t come and listen to what we are saying, and they are congratulating themselves that they have succeeded but the ark is here. We are presenting the ark and somebody who says he is a Christian is outside and is saying that he will make sure that my people and the people do not hear the truth so that they shall be liberated. Noah was not disturbed by the mockery or the laughter, but he did his work so we will continue to do God’s work, and we are presenting the ark to you so, enter the ark. Yesterday he said, open the gates of your church, open the gates of your heart, open your city, open your churches, break the windows, remove the roofing and ceiling so that the King of Glory can come in. Lift the doors o ye the gates that the King of Glory shall come in. The ark is so concerned about you that it is coming right at your door so that you don’t need to have trouble looking for it, but you step out and there it is and you enter it. And this is what some powers will make sure that you don’t get into. Then the Lord asked me to tell them, He said, “my son, have you heard of a city called Afienya? He said, they are now consulting powers in Afienya to make sure that the gospel, the work of God and the vision of God for Ghana does not come to pass. Afienya is near Tema, near Michel Camp area.

Tonight, he said, mention Afienya and they that are involved will know what I am talking about.

Then he asked me to ask another question, what is your name? He said, “I am Jesus. What is your name?” The power that you are consulting, what is his name? And you who are following that power, what is your name? If you are a Christian, how can you go there? What is your name? And the ark says, my name is Jesus. This is not a question for the church in Kumasi only, this is a question for the church in Ghana. Lord, have mercy. Except the lord has mercy on us we will get lost and if the judgment comes, there will be no escape but today is the day of repentance. The ark is here. It is open wide. Repent and get into it. It shall be well with your soul. So, when I say put your hand on your soul and commit your spirit to the Lord, there’s a need. Remember, the master, the king of glory, is called Jesus Christ.

The word the Lord gave me is a very short word which is very familiar, and we like it very much. I think the women aglow like it very much. The church, the Americans like it very much and many Christians like it. “If my people that I hurt are called by my name, humble themselves and repent, then I will hear if they cry out to me and I will heal their land. What the Lord wants me to dwell on it today is that “if my people that are called by my name”. We all have our names, and we come from various homes. When I was born, there were many debates about what name I should have. My mother met a young man who was very handsome at the time. But he worshiped dwarfs. He was a great young man around town and my mother was coming. Somebody told me that men could not look at the face of your mother. She was so beautiful, and they couldn’t look but this young man was bold enough to look at her face. He also believed in himself. So, he went and took my mother and put that woman in the family way and I was born. I was given the name Enoch by my great grandfather. My great grandfather was the presiding elder of the Presbyterian Church. And the Agbozo family brought the Presbyterian Church to that part of Krobo land. So, Christianity in Yilo Krobo came from my family, and our house, land and everything was given to the church by my family so, my grandfather could not afford to let his daughter marry a fetish priest. My mother was not a sound Christian. She was a beautiful girl, thinking of her beauty but not where she came from and maintaining the integrity of the family. But my great grandfather said no dice, however great that man is, he will not marry my daughter. So, there was a lot of debate about what name I should be given and there was a debate in my family. My great grandfather’s younger brother said no dice. He must marry that man and my grandfather said no. “I am senior to you, I said no.” There was a lot of confusion. At the end a third party came and said let us stop the confusion. I will give my name to that young man.

So, my name is Amanor and my great grandfather gave me Enoch. So, my name is Enoch Amanor Agbozo and I grew up like that until about 10 years ago. But listen, the Lord said, “your great grandfather gave you Enoch, but I will give you my name called Immanuel.” So, I now write Enoch Emmanuel. I am talking about what your name is. Jesus said if my people that are called by my name. We are from different families, like I am in an Agbozo family. If my great grandfather had not insisted, a name would have come from another side. The Lord told me, my son, I was dealing with Ghana situation and I went to Kita and dealt with the dragon. You know the story of the dragon. If you take Revelation chapter 12 and chapter 30, you see the dragon and Jesus dealt with it and the Lord gave me permission and power to deal with the dragon and then after I finished dealing with the dragon, and he said I have dealt with the serpent, and you have dealt with the dragon and he said the reason why I do that, there is a connection between you and I. Because you are a child of a woman and I am also a seed of a woman. So, in other words, even though I was born by that young man, the Lord knew why he put me in that family because if I had gone to the man’s family, I would never have known Jesus Christ but he had something for me so I had to be born in a family where I can know him, Jesus. So, before I was born God had a vision for my life and the bible tells s that no one goes to Jesus Christ except the father has called him. So, the father decides that you shall be a Christian. He took you out of your family and the crowd and he made the Holy Spirit cause the gospel to be preached and the conviction came. The conviction of sin, righteousness and judgment came. Then the conviction of accepting Christ came and you surrendered your life by the power through faith of the gospel that was preached, and you accepted that Jesus is the Savior. Then the Holy Spirit led you to Jesus and Jesus forgave you your sins and cleansed you by the blood and opened the gates of heaven and put his Spirit in you and said from now on, you are mine.

In Ephesians 1, 13, 14, it says, After you have believed the truth, I have put my Spirit in you, and the Holy Spirit sealed the Christ that you have received into you to make sure that no power can take the Spirit of Christ from your heart. Nobody can take Christ out of you except you yourself denied Christ because you must be born again to be part of this Christ family and you have been born again so, you don’t belong to that family, number one. You are now part of the Christ family. And Jesus said in Ephesians 2, that he has taken you and brought you into the household of God and now you have become part of the household of God and therefore he put his name upon you, and he said, now you bear my image and my name

Why go back? Why deny who you are? Why forget that God has put his name upon you? Why do you forget that you are born again? And you are no more part of that family and even your spirit, which is yourself, original you, has been transformed into the perfect image of the Son. So, the transformation process confirms that you have become the perfect possession, and not just a possession, but you have put on Christ, so you become a member of a holy nation.

He took Israel. He took Abraham and even the children of Abraham went into captivity in Egypt, and they began to follow the practices of Egypt. God promised them the promised land and in the fullness of time, he brought Moses to take them out of captivity and to take them to the promised land. Knowing that humanity is suffering captivity over sin, Satan and death, he came himself as a human being called Jesus like Moses to take you out of captivity in in Egypt. Take you out of captivity in the world. Take you out of captivity after the laws and customs of your father and make you his own and become part of his family and be a member of the vision that he has for humanity. That is what you are as a Christian. “My people, that I have called by my name.”

Remember, you have come out of the world. You are no longer a member of the world. He said we are in the world, but we are not of the world. The Lord told me, my son, right now the gospel is turning into the world. So, the world’s standards and visions for living in the world, to be a member of the world, traditions and customs and ideas of the world, are now being turned into the church and instead of the church being my people that are holy unto me, they are now in the world. “My people that I call”.

How do we become holy unto God? He said we are sanctified by the truth. The blood has cleansed us of our unrighteousness. First, it forgives us of our sins, then it cleanses us so that we become holy and acceptable to the Father, then he puts his spirit in us so that we can form a union of one family. He imparted his spirit into you, that you become one with him and therefore one with the Father and he took you out of the world so why then go back to the world and then follow the world’s standards and world understanding and world problems? If you are sanctified by the truth, and you are most holy by the truth, how do you turn back to the world? Why is it that you are no more interested in the truth of the gospel, and you want to hear things that are appealing to you? Your frame of reference is not heavenly, the vision for your life is no longer heavenly but as you look around the world, and you see its beauty as it were of the world. You see, Jesus was given the opportunity by Satan. He said, if only you bow to me, the kingdoms of this world and their glory, I’ll give it to you. So, Jesus doesn’t have to go to the cross because if he didn’t go to the cross and he accepted the offer, there would be no need to sacrifice for that. There would be no spiritual battle to maintain his own standing as a child of God sent out but you whom he has redeemed, have rejected the redemption and you are returning to the world forgetting whom you are.

If Jesus had accepted the offer, he would have cut his connection with the Father and the gates of heaven would not have been open to you and I and the glory that we have inherited in him would not be available. When this glory has been opened to you, and God gives you a vision of a holy person and a sanctified vessel and a glorious person presentable in the sight of the Most High God, you still say, “no, I want to go to the world.”

I was trying to say something in tongues, but the spirit is telling me that some of us, some of the tongues we are speaking are not of God because they are learning. You go and stand by the window and hear somebody speaking in what they call tongues then you are copying but then the tongues come by the Holy Spirit himself giving you utterance. Therefore, if you are learning and you are hearing somebody and you are following, you are not speaking in tongues. You are an imitator. We don’t learn how to speak in tongues the Holy Spirit takes over. I remember when we started the ministry, and we were dealing with these powers. There were churches called Brotherhood, Seraphim and Cherubim, I’ve seen Musama Christo, and many churches turn to know Christ. We have preached Christ, and they have come to know Christ. But today, some of them want to invoke those dead spirits and pretend that they are of Christ. The Aladura say they speak in tongues, yet it is the names of fallen angels. So, they make a list of them and yet he says he’s speaking in tongues and when you stand behind some of these churches, you can see that he is chanting. It’s like Indian chanting.

The Holy Spirit gives us power. Because he’s speaking by his spirit the spirit can’t carry beyond the limit of his inner spirit power so, he comes down then he breathes again and then you see them dancing and rolling all over and then the more they roll, the more the Holy Spirit has come. That reminds me of my aunt. My aunt went to one of these wonderful churches and she was watching them do it. Then she said, my son, I was following them so I what they were doing then the pastor said, the Holy Spirit has come upon me, so he wants me to come and preach in the church. There’s a church that is famous in Ghana here. My mother went to that place with my father and then she said some friends invited her. They went to the place, and she bought a mat and a pillow, and they said the angels visit in the night, so she went and slept. In the night, she realized that this is a bad place for me and if my son hears that I’m here, I’m in trouble. I went to Koforidua looking for my mother and there was no sign. Nobody knew where she had gone. Fortunately, I slept for that night. So, the following day, I went and visited her again. When I went, she was in the house, “mama, where were you yesterday?” We came and were looking for you”. She said please, I confess my sins. don’t do anything to me. I went to that church. Which church? I went there and saw that this is not of God, so I left before you take me to court. Do you know that there are people who go there? Big churches go there. They want a position in the country. They want promotion in their churches. They go there. But my mother was not a Holy Spirit filled woman, but she could say that this was not of God. I’m talking about imitation jewelry and deceptions roundabouts. So, he just asked me, “What is your name? “If my people that are called by me will humble themselves and repent of their sins and call upon my name, I will hear their cry and heal their land.”

We ourselves must know who we are. We are born again, we are sanctified by the truth, we are cleansed by the blood, our sins have been forgiven, the gates of heaven are open to us. God has given authority even over the prince of this world. But the church is now going back because the church is looking at the world.

The last thing the Lord drew my attention to is the music in the church. A lot of the so-called gospel music are not of God at all. What is the purpose? What is the objective? Are they to worship God? Or to make money? Or to lure you into worldly standards, worldly music, worldly dance, so that Satan can get you right there in the church? The church gate is open for Satan to be a prince and the Bible says that, if you see the enemy build a temple and become a star in the temple or the church then something serious has happened. What the Lord asked me to tell you tonight, “come back to me O child of God, O people that are called by my name, come back to me.” He has not come here to condemn you, but he has come to redeem you. He has come to take you to continue the journey to the promised land, so that you don’t get lost in the wilderness. Tonight is your chance. Come back to God. Now, when I say God its vague, because anything goes by God, but there is a name given to us by whom we shall be saved. That name is Jesus so come back to Jesus. O church of God, come back to me.

Who is me? “My name is Jesus”.
