THEME: WINNING, BUILDING & ESTABLISHING NATIONS & PEOPLES IN CHRIST & THE KINGDOM 

PREAMBLE 

“I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD. Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem. Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together: Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.” (Psalm 122:1-4 KJV) 

The Lord God Most High is calling His Church, His people, and the nations to consider His place, plans, and works, and possibilities for a new world of Blessed, Happy, and Joyful peoples and nations—with His abiding presence, blessings, and handiworks with His Creation; man, beast, and materials; spirits and elements; space and time. 

What a joyful world it will be when the Creator—the Source of all things and Father of all spirits, to whom belong all power, authority, knowledge, and wisdom—come to dwell with and among His creation and takes full charge of His creation in full indivisible and supreme and sovereign control over all things.  What a happy, blessed, and glorious world it will be.  

Beloved people of God, gathered at Church Mission Conference (December 2013, Accra) to deliberate on the Creator’s vision and mission to reconcile, redeem, and restore beauty, joy, and glory to His creation bewildered, lost, and perishing world of humans, animals, birds, and fishes and rest of creation. It is this prospect of the presence, joy, works, and possibilities with the Creator that King David was stirred by the Spirit of God to declare: “I WAS GLAD WHEN THEY SAID UNTO ME, LET US GO INTO THE HOUSE OF THE LORD.” 

It will be wonderful if we gathered here will come to the point of revelation, knowledge, and joy, spirit, and power to cry out again as we did yesterday, COME, LORD JESUS, SAVIOR, REDEEMER, GOD, and KING. Lord Jesus, come; Lord Jesus, come and save, restore joy, rest, and glory to peoples and nations and everlasting peace and goodwill to the world. 

Let us shout, COME LORD JESUS! 

Yesterday, we were brought unto revelation and vision of peoples and nations reconciled, redeemed, won over, built, and established—as nations and peoples of God through Church Building Mission. The vision and mission behind Church Building Mission in the world is to save souls of men and souls of nations with all creation within their borders, peace, and joy in the life vision to all creation, hallelujah! Amen! Imagine men and all creation—including the sun, moon, and stars—living in peace and goodwill, harmony, and joy, progress, and prosperity in the goodness and mercy of God emanating from the Presence of God. Worship in the Temple will be a glorious and exhilarating experience.  Blessed people of God, we have great vision and mission.  Let us consider now how to build such a nation and people of and for God. 

INTRODUCTION 

Today’s topic for humble, happy, and inspired deliberation in His presence and with Him is NATION BUILDING MISSION. We begin with the premise that the reconciliation and redemption of peoples and nations—and establishing them as the PEOPLE and NATION of GOD will demand special reconstruction.  It is with this, in view, that we declared yesterday that, the Christian Faith is a special divine ordained, ordered, and established system for spiritual and social redemption and social reconstruction of the nations and their peoples. 

In the vision of God for the world, the Son given has in fact, come with mandate to order and establish the government and Heaven’s Kingdom Order on earth (Isaiah 9:6-7). Christ’s mission as He declared in Luke 4: 18-19, is to set captives free, rebuild nations, peoples, and creation and repair cities, nations, and peoples from desolation of past generations (Isaiah 61: 1-6). Indeed, the Divine vision is a totally new world of nations and people living in peace, harmony, and joy as one people together with the rest of creation. The full vision of the new order of things is stated in Isaiah 42:9.  “Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth, I tell you of them. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and His praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.” (Isaiah 42:9-10 KJV) 

We are simply suggesting here that Nation Building Enterprise is an important, necessary, and integral part of the Great Commission. When we preach and baptize, when we teach and order heaven ordained law and order, we are in fact, set to rebuild and establish new peoples and nations in the knowledge and fear of God, and under His Kingdom order on earth as it is in heaven. We do not want to debate here human ordered philosophies, ideologies, theories, and systems that in confusion and hopelessness idolize secularism in so-called pluralistic and modern society without God, without truth, without faith, and without hope. 

NATION BUILDING MISSION 

The Nation Building Mission of the Church is a necessary, heaven-ordered enterprise, crucial and vital to the redeemed peoples and nations of God. It represents the “NEW THING” for the Gentile nations and for Israel upon their acceptance of Jesus Christ as the promised Son and Messiah. This Messianic Redemption, Government, and Kingdom Mission on earth is the catalyst that will bring about the fulfillment of all things. 

The Church Nation Building Mission is of a three-tier mission agenda comprising of: 

a. The Reconciliation of Nation and People with God; so, there be peace, hope, and joy in the nations. 

b. The Establishment of Righteousness and with-it Godly Conduct of People. 

c. The Transformation of Spiritual and Social order and the Establishment of Godly Path of Glory and culture for the nation and people. 

In summary, the Church’s Nation Building Mission can be deemed as—the Rebuilding of nations—with foundational gates and walls repaired and rebuilt; towns and cities, tribes, and peoples, and the establishment of new values and conduct through the knowledge of the Light, Way, Love, Honor, Fear, and Respect of God and the knowledge of Him. This is the open door for building the Kingdom of God and its glory in nations. 

THE RECONCILIATION OF NATION AND PEOPLE WITH GOD (2nd Corinthians 5:17-19; Acts 26:18) 

Reconciliation is a key issue in nation building, such as with ‘New Birth’ for people. There is a two-fold effect: –  

i. To Bring Peace with God  

ii. To Cancel out and diffuse the abiding wrath and judgement of God, curses, and condemnation that lead to instability, uncertainty, fruitlessness, and stagnation of nation and people.  

It is the very source and vehicle of heritage creation—both spiritual and social. 

THE ESTABLISHMENT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS 

New Value System, New Ways, Conduct and Character in the Knowledge of God (Matthew 28: 18-20; 6: 33; Acts 20:18; Isaiah 62: 1, 6-10; 61:1-6; Psalm 1) 

The primary vehicle for spiritual and social transformation—and for the building of new value systems, conduct, and life—is with Teaching and Discipling of both the People and Nation.   

As we stated yesterday, discipling also pertains as much—to the saints redeemed and born again as also, to the entire nation and people via the witness and testimony of the marvelous light and works of God, by the church (Acts 1:8; 1st Peter 2: 9-10). To build and establish people in godliness, joy, hope, and knowledge of God is crucial to the presence and mission of the church (1st Timothy 2:1-6). There is also, the need for prayer, prophetic, and watchman mission of the church. “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem” is a key mission task in nation building. This is not so much reconciliation, as the establishment and promotion of righteousness, peace, prosperity, goodness, and mercy of God and good of the land—because of the house of the Lord, because of the saints or God’s people in the land—we seek the good of nation and people. (Psalm122: 6-9) 

THE TRANSFORMATION OF SPIRITUAL AND SOCIAL ORDER, REALITY, AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF GODLY PATH OF GLORY FOR NATION AND PEOPLE  

(Isaiah 9:6-7; Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 26:18; Is. 61: 1-6; Matthew 5, 6 & 7) 

The Great Commission envisages a new people and a new nation—redeemed, established, organized, and ministered to and governed in obedience and harmony with the vision, order, and establishment by Jesus Christ for peace, goodwill, progress, and prosperity, good, and glory of nation and people (Isaiah 9:6-7; Matthew 28:20; Psalm  2; Matthew 5, 6 &7) . It is here that we believe the Lordship of Christ and the Christian faith is and can serve as spiritual and social reconstruction, governance, and management of nations.  In this light, faith is a veritable instrument of social and cultural transformation, nation building, and government. 

The three-pronged spiritual and social construction of Ghana our nation was a deep and central factor in the GES 40-year mission story. Two elements became prominent in the nation building mission:  

i. The establishment of righteousness. 

ii.  And the transformation of the spirit-and mind-set, culture, ways, and conduct of reconciled and redeemed for restoration as a Christian nation and people for God’s inheritance and marriage (Beulah Land), established according to the heaven ordained glory of the nation.   

These were paramount in the GES nation building mission. It involved the Society in many activities, conferences, public lectures, letters to governments, and people, articles, and prophecies directed at nation by the Lord God Most High. There is no need to give a list of works or linear of events undertaken by or encounter by the Society. There is this one thing—the vision is to establish a highway of righteousness, a banner of godliness and Lordship of Christ, and the Law, Light, and Way of God for a new Christian Ghana/Africa based on Isaiah 62: 10; 61:1-6; Nehemiah.  Nehemiah championed social and cultural transformation not only with reference to the worship and observance of the Truth, Light, and Way of God—but also, the social reconstruction to deal with evil and ills. 

In Isaiah 9: 6-7; 61: 1-6; 62:10, we see a blue print for the Church-Nation Building Mission for Divine destined glory for Ghana as a chosen nation and people, a Christian nation and people of God, redeemed, and godly people of His Kingdom Glory order in Africa and the world. This is an important mission target. It is a possible, feasible, and attainable mission assignment. The church, the new people, the new nation (Ghana) has been declared as our heritage and destiny of glory by the Most High God.  Glory to God.  Amen! 

CONCLUSION 

The church must march among the people and throughout the land, with the banner of Christ Jesus. His teachings, truth, light, and way of peace and goodwill, righteousness and joy, and hope in God is a high and veritable mission standard for the land, nation, and people. Nation Building is critical to the establishment of nations in peace with God, the mercy, and goodness of God, the transformation and social rehabilitation regarding reconstruction and establishment in and under God and His Kingdom order, reign, and rule.
