NATIONAL REDEMPTION FESTIVAL

Series:

PRESS STATEMENT/ BRIEFING

TITLE: NATIONAL REDEMPTION FESTIVAL

THEME: NATIONAL CELEBRATION OF THE DIVINE REDEMPTION AND HOPE FOR THE COUNTRY.

Peace be unto you.

Blessed be the name of the Most High God for this holy gathering unto Him Jehovah God for and on behalf of the nation and people of Ghana.

The gathering is for a Press Briefing on a Two-Day National Redemption Festival the Ghana Evangelical Society is organising for the celebration of the redemption of the country by the Most High God, Creator of heaven and earth.

The two-day festival is being organised at the behest of the Most High God who has directed that the church in Ghana should lead the church, nation and people of Ghana to observe 28TH FEBRUARY every year as NATIONAL REDEMPTION DAY.

This is the subject matter of the Press briefing so the media will help disseminate the message to the church body and to God’s people in the land, and the nation as a whole.

We are taking the privilege of this briefing first to affirm the now common and acceptable belief and truth that the present state of the nation is the direct result of Divine intervention in the political and national processes and redemption of the country from the common and prevailing state of darkness and death, violence, wickedness and war, and the consequent stagnation, poverty, backwardness and desolation of many generations in Africa.

The redemption has brought and turned Ghana into a nation and people holy unto God and Star nation of PeaceStability and Hope in and for the nations and people of the continent.

As we stated at the recent press conference we held here in this Hall, it is the Divine Hand upon the nation that raised a standard against the threat of chaos, war and return of the country to the instability darkness and hopelessness of old. The seed and fires that would otherwise have exploded into conflagration were there, yet they were brought under control and made of nil effect due primarily to the prayers of the church and people of Ghana.

The second spiritual truth and political reality is that the Spirit of the Lord is holding the ship of state stable in the waters, troubled though they are. God has found and raised Himself watchmen in the land who would not let Jehovah God rest till He has established peace and righteousness and made Ghana a praise in Africa and the world. The follow up truth is that Jehovah God has set in motion a spirit and machinery for redemption and restoration, progress and glory on the continent.

We have the blessed privilege and honour to affirm at this press briefing the Divine redemption of the country and assurance of faith and hope from God for which Ghana as church, nation and people should be thankful to God and set in place in obedience to the will of God, NATIONAL CELEBRATION of the DIVINE REDEMPTION and HOPE for the country.

It is pertinent to mention in this direction that present day 21st century Ghana is A NEW GHANA born anew by the Most High God which He has personally taken over as God, King, Lord and Governor thereof. That makes Jehovah the Creator, God and King, Father and Hope of Ghana. He is worthy of thanks, praise and honour of the Church, Government, Nation and People of the country.

Further, it is necessary to emphasise that THE NEW GHANA, which is the making of the Lord God Jehovah is unique and different from the old Ghana Empire that fell years ago. Similarly, it is different from the Danquah-Nkrumah-Busia and the Kotoka-Afrifa-Acheampong-Rawlings Ghana.

The old Ghana Empire, Ghana I that is fell due primarily to idolatry, sorcery and witchcraft on one hand and, political stalemate caused by wickedness, violence, blood letting and tribal wars on the other.

It may be observed that emancipated post-independence Ghana, Ghana I was also torn apart by ethnic and political party strife’s, military versus civilian and soldier versus soldier stampedes over power and the political and development process.

That political party-cum-civilian-military regime is no more. There is a New Ghana whose Redeemer, Protector, Defence and Keeper, God and King is the Almighty God Jehovah. This is GHANA III.

Ghana III is made up of A New Church, A New People and A New Nation. It is this new Ghana that is serving as a model and shinning star for the rest of Africa. Jehovah God, The Father and His Christ is the Salvation, Redemption and Hope of Glory of the New Ghana.

As we know, Ghana II was characterised by Satanic powers, blood sacrifices, power struggles, political party strife’s caused by ideological differences and personality cults, low, unstable and varying economic performance and staggering poverty, corruption, unrighteousness and injustice galore. It is this regime of spiritual and political poverty and social desolation that Jehovah God has brought to an end, though there still are some lingering signs and traces of the old order.

A New Ghana is born, A New Day has dawned. Glory be to God in the highest. There is need for the stabilisation and maintenance of the new order characterised by Peace, Righteousness, Justice, Liberty and Hope in God.

The annual National Redemption Day Celebration of Jehovah God by Church and People will by definition help consolidate and cement the Divine ordained and supervised spiritual and social order. It will establish peace and security, progress and prosperity for nation and people. Peace, righteousness, justice, liberty, godliness, progress, hope and glory shall be the new order and social reality. A New Ghana. Ghana III indeed is born and established. Hallelujah!

It is towards this new spirit, character and glory of Ghana, the New Ghana of God Kingdom Glory on earth, Star of Africa that the Lord God Jehovah has directed that the Ghana Evangelical Society should kick-start with a two-day pilot Redemption Day Celebration programme dubbed NATIONAL REDEMPTION FESTIVAL scheduled for:
