(Thursday, January 5, 1984)
SYNOPSIS
This theological outline affirms the Holy Spirit’s full personality and deity, revealing Him
as the Divine Co-equal and Chief Executive of the Kingdom.
PREAMBLE
Beloved in the Living God and His Christ, Grace and Peace be unto you. It affords me great
pleasure to mount this platform to share with you the joys, hopes and benefits of
fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
We have just been taught the Christian doctrine or concept of God the Supreme Divine
Being who created and is in control of all things who deserves to be worshipped.
We have learnt of the idea of the Trinity – the God in Three Persons, of Father, Son and
Holy Spirit. (we believe in one God as stated in Deut. 6: 4, “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our
God is one Lord”). But the scriptures reveal the Triune God moving in unity. Jesus honours
the Father in all He does…. and speaks of His being one with the Father and teaches that
the Holy Spirit shall receive from the Father and Him Jesus for the church (John 16: 14-
15).
“He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine and shall shew it unto you. All things
that the Father hath are mine: therefore, said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall
shew it unto you”.
In discussing the Trinity, we will of needs come to conclusion regarding the Personality,
Deity, Attributes and to some extent the ministry of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We
now accept the Personality and Deity of the Father and Son. But often the personality and
deity of the Holy Spirit create problems in the minds of some people (even some question
the deity of Jesus Christ). The Kingdom of God as we all know is a spiritual concept.
This conference is devoted to help us know “The President or Chief Executive of our lives
and Christ Jesus King and Lord. God is God. The Holy Ghost is Prime Minister. Our present
discussion is on The Holy Spirit -His Person (and one may add His Attributes.)
