THE NEW THING OF DIVINE HERITAGE OF GLORY

Series:

SERMON INSIGHTS

The Foundation of Divine Heritage through Sanctification and Obedience

Central Spiritual Truth: Access to the lost heritage of divine glory is restored when believers purge themselves to become holy vessels and practice absolute obedience to God’s Word.

  • The foundation of the Lord remains sure, and he identifies those who truly belong to him as his own people. In a great house, there are various vessels made of gold, silver, wood, and clay, yet only those who purge themselves are sanctified for the Master’s use.
  • Obedience is the essential key that grants believers access through the gates of the city of God and to the tree of life. While faith and righteousness are necessary, the bottom line for reconciliation after the fall in Eden is obeying the Word of God.
  • Mastering the Word in an academic or theological sense is not the same as having a deep, personal knowledge of God. The Word serves as an open door for fellowship, intended to lead the believer into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • There is a spiritual power that works within those who are rooted and grounded in the Word, which is actually God himself. Revelation comes as a result of continued obedience to the directions provided by the Word.
  • The Lord knows His people and obedience carries us to the gate of the city and grants access to the tree of life.

The Church as a Partner in Revealing Divine Glory

Central Spiritual Truth: The church is equipped as a representative of God to partner with Christ and the Holy Spirit in manifesting the fullness of the Godhead to all creation.

  • The Holy Spirit, Christ, and the church are active partners working together to bring God’s purposes to pass within the nations. This partnership is specifically designed to reveal divine glory so that all of creation may know its Creator.
  • Believers do not merely represent God; they are called to present Him to the rest of creation, including the land and the trees. All of creation is watching to see the Creator through the church as it puts on the fullness of the divine stature.
  • There is a distinct difference between the “fullness of God” described in Ephesians 3 and the “stature of Christ” found in Ephesians 4. The church serves as a servant of God to prepare perfect men who operate in the knowledge of Christ.
  • Born-again men are not the old, fallen man, but are new beings given the opportunity to enter the realm of the Godhead bodily. In this position of divine growth, even the laws of nature are subject to the believer, allowing for miracles like walking on water.

The Emergence of a New Human Race and a New Ghana

Central Spiritual Truth: God is using the church to repopulate the world with a new Adam, a new human race

that possesses the creative power to build a new society.

  • The church is the specific place where God shares his vision for a new Ghana and provides the instruments to build it. While politicians use human ideologies like socialism or capitalism, the church operates by the spirit and vision of God.
  • The new human is positioned above the laws of sin, death, and nature. True change is not just transformation of existing things, but the creative power to bring a new thing into existence.
  • Believers must move beyond nominal Christianity and human intellectual power to utilize the connection between Christ and the Holy Spirit. Rising in divine glory allows one to influence their area of society on a higher, more powerful plane.
  •  The church ought to walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh or human understanding.

Spiritual Authority over the Land and National Prosperity

Central Spiritual Truth: National healing and economic prosperity are the direct results of a nation’s leadership honoring God and the church standing as watchmen.

  • If a nation’s leadership does not honor God, they lack the wisdom and vision necessary to organize and direct the country properly. When leaders open themselves to God’s direction, their policies will produce unimaginable and prosperous fruits.
  • The church has been given a new level of authority and power through the Great Commission to build and protect the nation. Believers must stand as watchmen and warriors at the gates of the city to prevent the powers of darkness from operating.
  • Economic and fiscal policies should be born out of prayer and worship, as God can give a Minister of Finance wisdom that comes like a dream. Ghana will not have to beg for bread if the people dwell under the shadow of the Almighty and listen to His voice.
  • The Lord can heal the land just as he did in 1984 when he ended the drought and allowed Ghana to export food again. A sign of this healing was the sight of children hunting for snails in the night, signifying that life had returned to the soil.

The Mandate to Shine as a Light to the Nations

Central Spiritual Truth: The church is called to bring forth the light of truth and set captives free, making Ghana a beacon for the rest of the world.

  • The church is appointed to open blind eyes and bring prisoners out of the darkness of the prison house. This is achieved by giving people understanding so they realize their own practices are causing their lack of progress.
  • Christ has shared his glory with the church so that believers do not put their trust in “graven images” of human wisdom or atheistic ideologies. Science and technology are respected, but they must not take precedence over faith in the Creator.
  • The church must avoid “Balaamism,” which is the corruption of grace for money or the praise of men. A church that lacks the courage to speak the truth cannot be an instrument of blessing to the nation.
  • God declares a “new thing” before it springs forth, signaling that the former human race has passed and a new reality is beginning. This move of God will extend from Ghana to the ends of the earth and the inhabitants of the islands.

Exhortation and Call to Action: Stand on the walls as watchmen and warriors for the nation. You must not be nominal Christians who just do a job; rather, you are called to be faithful witnesses who bring every aspect of society under the banner of Christ.

AMEN
