TRANSCRIPT

I am blessed to be here today, and I welcome you all in the name of Jesus Christ. As the Lord spoke to me, He was talking about Mother Ghana, and I welcome you on her behalf. The Lord asked me to address Ghana, saying, “Ghana, rejoice.” Something great is going to happen in our country; I am excited. I believe that by the end of this gathering, you will not only understand, but also accept the thoughts put before you. I pray that the Lord will guide me to convey His message and give you the grace not only to hear and understand, but to undertake that which He intended in gathering us.

This movement is a forum, which means it is a time for open discussion of affairs. The forum is organized in the name of the Christian Youth Heritage. This movement primarily embraces students from three secondary schools in Ghana, though the message is for all. The Lord has a special vision for this country, and He is going to select some people from among these students for great events in our nation. He has a vision for our country, and we will come to that in the course of the day’s events. The theme of our forum is, “Behold, I make all things new,” found in Isaiah chapter 42, verses 9 and 10.

Isaiah chapter 42 is talking about Jesus Christ and His mission, particularly in the Gentile world. Biblical Israel had already had a witness and a contact with the Great I Am God, but the Gentile world was yet to know the true God. Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, came to reveal and extend the blessings of God’s revelations and purposes to the Gentile world.

Biblical Israel was supposed to be an example and a model for other nations to follow, but they failed in this mission, returning to worship the idols of other nations and being scattered. Since God did not find any human being reliable enough to undertake the mission, it became necessary for Him to turn Himself into a human being to convey the message. Christ is God Incarnate.

Jesus Christ was chosen by the Father to undertake this whole global change and transformation, bringing the message of the true, only I Am That I Am God, to the world. Though Jesus began His ministry with Israel, it became necessary to appoint a special apostle for the Gentile nations: Paul. Peter, the leading apostle, had to open the door to the Gentile world in the house of Cornelius (Acts chapter 10) before Paul could fully enter, demonstrating that in God’s scheme of things, there is order. The New Testament, particularly Paul’s epistles, continues the major message and is largely concerned with the life and conditions of the Gentile nations, which envisage great changes.

We are here to discuss three topics that form the core of the vision of the new thing: a new man, a new life, and a new society. These new things will, in the end, pertain to Ghana, envisioning a new nation and a new people. The vision of a new human race, new societies, new nations, and a new world order is clearly spelled out in the Christian faith and the church mission. The Gospel of Christ and the Gospel of the Kingdom both have in view this new man, new life, new peoples, and new world order.

This gathering is a divine party for God to share with us and impart His Spirit, His mind, and His vision concerning the new thing. The basis of the new thing shall be His Spirit in action. That impartation will have an impact; He will not leave us the way we came in.

The vision of the new thing, based on Isaiah 42, envisages the deliverance and total transformation of the Gentile nations who do not know God and have been held captive in blindness and idolatry. This captivity includes worshipping the products of scientism the works of men’s hands. When a scientist makes a great discovery, he may become proud and begin to worship his own knowledge, making science a form of idolatry. This is what holds people captive. There will be deliverance and transformation from this kind of thinking.

God is coming to open blind eyes, to bring out prisoners from the prison, and those who sit in darkness from the prison house. People are imprisoned when they are held captive by traditions, culture, customs, and philosophies, losing their liberty. God says, “I will lay waste the mountains and hills and dry up all their vegetation… I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before them, and crooked paths straight. These things I will do for them and not forsake them” (Isaiah 42:15-16). He is addressing human situations, thought patterns, and systems that have become like unchangeable mountains and hills. He promises that He will not leave them alone for the enemy to attack but will establish them in a new system.

This divine mission agenda is an important and integral part of the Gospel of Jesus Christ for all the nations of the world. As the Lord declared to Paul, the purpose is to “open their eyes and to turn them from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God” (Acts 26:18).

The scripture of the forum in verse 10 is a call to celebration: “Sing unto the Lord a new song, and His praise from the end of the earth.” This new song shall emerge from the outcome of the vision and mission of a new thing—men, peoples, and nations delivered from the old order shall sing a new song of a new people, a new life, and a new society.

The vision of the new man is our first topic, based essentially on three things: the new birth, entry into the divine nature and glory, and entry into the kingdom of heaven through faith in the Gospel of truth.

The new man is essentially the creation of Jesus Christ, a replicate of Himself, His nature, His virtues, and His glory. We are created anew in Jesus Christ when we are born again. We are being conformed to the image of the Son, and in the end, we shall take on the full stature and glory of the Son of God, even Jesus Christ. The whole purpose of Christianity is that we are being transformed into the perfect image of Jesus. Everything we do in the church must ensure that we are growing into the image of Christ. That which transforms your life is not the head knowledge of Scripture, but the Spirit that must be received in you.

The new man, who is born again and baptized by the Holy Spirit, becomes a son of God and a servant of God. As children of God, we possess the power and attributes of God. As servants of God, we act with authority, demonstrating the power of God for the spirits and powers to see. This is the demonstration of the Spirit of Jesus Christ. The new man is the basis of victories and the hope of the world.

To illustrate the beauty of this vision: we are gathered here at the Crystal Hall of the Rehoboth Temple of the Charismatic Evangelistic Ministry (CEM), led by Reverend Steve Mensah and Reverend Stanley Mensah. These two gentlemen were once young people who served in a ministry. They were in a group called Gospel Train, a form of concert party with an evangelistic message tailored for a Ghanaian setting. When they were in the Gospel Train, none of them could have imagined that they would build something like this. This demonstrates that no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor has it entered the heart of man what God has in store. When you are sitting here, you do not know what God has in mind for you.

God is thinking of spirit beings. If He has a new Ghana in mind, He will not bring angels to build it. He will use His children to bring the changes. He will bring wisdom and direction into your profession, and you will be the instrument of change.

I welcome all of you again to the Christian Youth Heritage Forum. Let us prepare our hearts, minds, and spirits for the journey into the world and the era of new things. God is building a new man, giving us a new life, and creating a new society, which He is coming to dwell in and reveal to the whole world, including our nation Ghana. May the Lord richly bless you.
