THEME: THE SPIRITUAL PLUMBLINE: DISTINGUISHING THE CHURCH OF CHRIST FROM THE CHURCH OF SATAN 

Peace and grace in the Lord Jesus Christ be multiplied to all readers, the entire church, and people of God in Ghana, and abroad. I bring a message of assurance and hope, but also a message for the opening of eyes—a reminder and a warning to all who want to worship God in Spirit and in Truth through faith in Christ Jesus the Lord and the Holy Scriptures. 

As Paul was led to declare in Romans 10, my heart’s desire and prayer, to God for professed Christians and all peoples everywhere is that they may be saved. For many are they who have zeal for God but are caught in religion, Satanism, paganism and human philosophies because they lack knowledge of God, His Christ, and the scriptures, having no relationship with the Holy Spirit. 

This paper is being presented at the prompting of the LORD, who has directed that sanity be brought back to the church and that the church be brought back to Him, Jesus Christ and the Father. May it serve as a spiritual plumbline for all, true worshippers, seekers, and also the “game players. I write as an Apostle-Prophet commissioned by the Lord Jesus Christ and God the Father. The following is the inspired word briefly stated. There is SATAN CHURCH gathering and flourishing within the church body in the world. Many abound in Ghana. Let the people of God wake up and seek to know and connect properly with Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit and worship God alone in spirit and in truth. 

Let me tell you a story—Four years ago, while I was a guest speaker in a church in London, the message the Lord gave surprised me. The message was, “The end of the Satan Church has come.” When the word came to me, my mind took me to the occultist, spiritist, and spiritualist church. I also thought of the churches operating with familiar spirits and divination, churches and so-called ministers who operate with powers from the sea and waters, forests, hills and mountains, dwarfs, mermaids, angels and all but the Holy Spirit. They call and preach and seem to operate in the name of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit but are in all liars, pretenders, false prophets and false teachers. 

Recently, however, the Lord revealed to me that many churches with great names and appeal in the world are of Satan. When the word came, the Spirit of the Lord came upon me heavily with tears and deep groaning that lasted almost an hour. Then I remembered that the Lord told me once, in 1984, to be precise, that the church had derailed 400 years ago. That the Church be brought back on track.  The scriptures also speak of the end-times falling away (2nd Thessalonians 2:1-12), of doctrines and works of men and devils of false prophets and false teachers (1st Timothy 4:1-2; 2nd Timothy 3:1-5; Matthew 24:4-14).  All these put together give us three set of churches – churches of God and Christ, churches of men and churches of Satan. The truth, however, is that the church of man is ultimately under the influence of Satan. Therefore, there is essentially the church of Satan as opposed to the church of Christ. This phenomenon has created confusion not only for unbelievers and seekers of God, but also many people professing to be Christians, but who in spiritual reality are far from Christ and the Truth, Eternal Life, and Glory of the Kingdom of heaven.  It is because of this that there is fresh and urgent need to preach Christ, The Truth, True Worship, True Christian Faith, Service and Life, and Hope of eternal life and glory in Jesus Christ, the Savior, Redeemer, King and Lord. 

We write in the spirit of obedience, burden and passion of Christ Jesus for the lost and perishing world. Not only that, but we also declare the word and mind of God in the kingdom battle spirit and fire of the Lamb of God (Revelation 17:14).  

THE FALLEN AWAY CHURCH 

First, let us discuss briefly what we describe as the Fallen Away church. There are folks and whole churches who were once enlightened and have tasted the heavenly gift (Jesus Christ, The Son) and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit but have fallen away (Hebrews 6: 4-8; 2Thessalonians 2:1-10). Many churches in Ghana and the world at large have fallen prey to religion, humanism, human ideas, and philosophies, knowledge and wisdom and have become subjected to Satanic deception and postures about God or gods and the supernatural. There have arisen, as a result, systems of worship, theologies, doctrines, and practices of men and spirits that not only deny the truth and reality of the creator but, and above all, reject the unique revelation, mystery and standing of Jesus Christ as God manifest in the flesh.  He is, in fact, the Divine Spirit- Person of the Truth, Way, Life, Light, —the reality of salvation, redemption, restoration, resurrection, divine glory, and eternal life for lost man. That there is no other Truth and WAY but the Cross, Blood, Spirit and the Name of Jesus Christ for salvation and hope of glory in entry into the Divine and abiding in and with God the Creator in the kingdom of heaven through faith and birth in Jesus Christ. 

The Bible talks in this respect of departure from the faith, giving heed to deceiving or seducing spirits, and doctrines of demons (1st Timothy 4). Instead of heeding the truth of the Scriptures and the ministry of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, the church is now flooded with ideas, theories, philosophies, doctrines, and practices from diverse spiritual sources.  They include spirits, men, and distorted use of Scriptures, as well as the wisdom, proverbs, and parables of ancestors, the ancients, and the science of this age. Folks mix scriptures, human ideas and adage, scientific theories, and all to build theories, principles and practices for the church. There are management, psychological, and scientific theories drawn from human observation and experience and not the truth of scripture nor teaching and practice directed by the Holy Spirit. The worship, teaching and ministry in the church have gone bizarre in many places. 

Again, there is pure and simply wisdom, knowledge, and experience of man proceeding from the pulpit and church conferences. These are “graven images” and “whited sepulchers” as the Bible puts it. They have now assumed center stage in many so-called churches and been accepted as of the Christian faith and literature.  These make nonsense as it is of the cross and canonicity. There has developed now not just egoism in the faith and practice of the church, but a faith and trust in man—his spirit and mind power—rather than the Holy Spirit, and certainly not Christ Jesus, the Master (1st Corinthians 2). 

Again, some “Christians” do not even believe any more that Christ Jesus is God, that He and the Father are one in spirit-nature and mind, essence, works, and their effect. That Christ is the Spirit-Person and only basis for salvation, redemption, restoration, and hope of glory to fallen man (Matthew 11: 25-27; John 14: 6, 3:3-8; 1: 12-17, 26-34).  Christ to the Satan church is not the ONLY WAY and guarantee for man.  But we know that Christianity is not a religious system of hope in moral uprightness, works, and trust in theories, creeds, angels, spirits and powers. Angels, spirits, and powers, men and governments  can deliver goods such as food, clothing and shelter, health, signs and miracles but they cannot take you to the Father God nor offer you Spiritual Birth and Entry into and transformation and glory in the Divine Nature and eternal life which is possible and available only with Jesus Christ. No one can enter the holy court and presence of God except by the Blood of Christ Jesus and enabling of the Holy Spirit (Hebrews 10: 19-22). The teaching on religion which accepts the multiplicity of faiths and treats all the faiths as being of the True and Living God is for all spiritual and practical purposes a deception of Satan, the enemy of God.  These include the works of the Anti-Christ in and outside the Church. 

The Anti-Christ within the church include the works of professed Christians, who reject the Divine and sovereign Lordship and honor of Jesus Christ in the faith and seek to raise themselves (men) to a position of glory like Christ.   The Anti-Christ outside the church seek to lift man to a state equal to Christ.  They treat Christ as one of the so-called masters, prophets, teachers, and religious leaders who appear and operate but for a season and are no more.  The two types of anti-Christ both reject the all-and ever-abiding presence of Christ, that is, His being I AM, Alpha and Omega in reality.  The son of perdition mentioned in 2nd Thessalonians 2:3-4 and the abomination of desolation mentioned in Matthew 24:15 and Daniel 9:23 can be treated as belonging to the Anti-Christ movement in the world. The deception that gave rise to the Satan Church started with the serpent’s “Has God Said” in its encounter with Eve.  It is Satan that has created a situation where Satan deception and human reasoning power have combined to breed doubt and unbelief concerning the Word of God.  This has led to the outright rejection of God and His Christ in the church as in the world.  

The result is that the scriptural testimonies of the Father, the Holy Spirit, the Apostles and Prophets concerning Jesus Christ are no longer considered sufficient or acceptable witness and grounds to believe in and receive Jesus Christ—the Son, the eternal gift of Spirit, Life, Liberty, and Glory to man. It must be noted that the lure of the satanic world and/or the world of human knowledge, wisdom, and enterprise can undermine trust in God, faith in Christ, and the scriptures (Luke 18:8). However, the true seeking and yearning heart can find a way of escape through the voice of God in the scriptures, the spoken word, and revelation by the Spirit of God. But where Satan is the spirit power, architect, and source of religion, theories, and doctrines, most mortals—except humble, genuine, and astute seekers and those under the shadow of the wings and mercy of God—will fall prey to the deception and seduction of Satan. This is where the Satan Church has expanded, to seducing and turning away churches which otherwise have apostolic foundations under his dominion. This also applies to churches whose leaders and members are only struck by and are concerned primarily with mundane earthly living and worldly life, the emotional, material and physical basis of life, physical prowess and spiritual power, riches and wealth, position, power, pleasure and fame. It may be apparent to the readers that, apart from the “fallen away” church and those who have believed the lie of Satan and the deception of the human heart and pride, there may be and there are in fact churches that have been actually started and put in place by Satan and built upon  Satanic power. Others, of course, are built upon and standing in the power of the human spirit, mind-set, knowledge, and wisdom of the world. These include people not called by Christ, who take on the holy garments of Divine call by their own design and devices. Without a connection to Christ and divine unction, such ministers can only operate by human wisdom—including studying, following, and imitating true called-out ones. 

Both the Satan church and man-founded church move in, reflect, rejoice, and glory in the changing mind-set, wisdom, knowledge, and the spirit power of the age. They may major in concerns, good, acceptable, and man-pleasing works and ways of the world. In the process, they may be totally committed to the doctrines of Balaam (Revelation 2: 12-14) or the doctrines of the synagogue of Satan (Revelation 2:20-24; 3:9). They receive the praise of Satan and man, but not of God (James 4:4). It may be finally mentioned, by way of reminder, that there are churches made up of congregations who have no ears for and care not about the truth of the Faith. They have their own kind of pastors who teach them only what they want to hear or if at all, only exploit their ignorance, credulity, superstition, and concerns about the cares of this world (Matthew 13: 3-7). There are churches that operated on lines such as with shrines, divines, and paganism. 

There are, indeed, churches whose concerns, doctrines, practices, and gatherings are about the concerns of this world, with no vision for the worship of God nor teaching and mission on Christ, His redemption, and restoration cause, the preparation of the bride and God’s Kingdom on earth. Christ and heaven, spiritual transformation, the glory in Christ and Christ’s government and Kingdom on earth are not known and never visited by many churches. 

Many a church, indeed, has fallen prey— purely and simply—to the seduction and worship of Satan, engaging in worldly wisdom, religion, and kingdom order on earth. These are very Satanic promptings that Christ Jesus rejected when He ultimately told Satan, “GET THEE HENCE, SATAN” (Matthew 4: 4-11). Satan’s proposition is about getting and going good with the calling, getting power, comfort, and fame with position. Many such leaders build empires and kingdoms in the world. Many of the Church of Satan, however pious, however great their works be, are on the whole engaged in feeding the belly, chasing power, fame, and glory in Satan- worship in the Satan controlled world order and kingdom glory. What is alarming in this matter is that many churches, old and new, mainline and independent, Pentecostal and charismatic, have gone astray, fallen to the lure of Satanic seduction, human pride, and wickedness, the lures of human knowledge and wisdom, riches, wealth, and power, worldly gain, position and pleasure. They seek to be measured by the standards, measures, and pride of the age, possessions, position, and power, riches and material opulence, success and worldly glory, which in all is but vanity upon vanity, says the preacher. 

We end by humbly appealing, first, to the fathers, leaders, and ministers of the church; second, to theological gurus and philosophical giants behind the teachings, doctrines, and practices of the faith and churches in this age to seek the will, mind, and word of God. It is time to return to the foundations and roots of the faith. Third, we appeal also to the general overseers and bishops of the church age; and fourth the congregations, worshippers, seekers, and the lovers of teachings and “doctrines of devils” and things itching to the ears because of the cares, pleasures, and vanity of the world.  It is time to repent and run away from the snares of the fowler which have taken many captives. 

It is time to repent or come out of the Satan church. Soon, Jesus comes with His reward of eternal life and crowns of righteousness, life, and glory for the overcomers and the faithful—and eternal damnation to all others, including Satan himself. 

Jesus is here, praise the Lord.  The kingdom is here, Hallelujah.  But HE IS SOON APPEARING in HIS MAJESTIC GLORY.  Let His people be ready! Amen and amen!
