THEME: WINNING EUROPE FOR CHRIST 

PREAMBLE 

Peace be unto you! We give thanks and praise to the Most High God for this unique gathering to deliberate on the Church in Mission under the theme; WINNING EUROPE FOR CHRIST. The theme is a bold declaration. It represents a massive enterprise which cannot be—comprehended, much more undertaken—by man, except God be with him. Beloved in the Lord, the vision and mission of Europe won and taken over for Christ is a huge business. We should count ourselves blessed, therefore, for the invitation to the conference.  

The conference brings opportunity and an open door for understanding, inspiration, enlistment, and equipment into a special core of soldiers, yes indeed AN ARMY OF THE LORD for His great works in combat, reconciliation, deliverance, redemption, and take-over of Europe. Essentially, the Mission to Win and Take-over Europe for Christ is a declaration of war—kingdom battles, as we put it against the reigning and ruling spirits, powers, philosophies, and ideas, the spirit-and-mind-set on one part, and the spiritual, political, and social order of the current age, the modern age to be precise, on the other. It may be understood in this direction that we will need special divine grace, understanding, mercy, and spirit to be able to comprehend, obtain insight, inspiration, and the requisite readiness of spirit and mind first to participate and second, to walk effectively in the realms of the Spirit of God before being enlisted, equipped, and endued with the necessary power and spiritual standing for the task. 

Let us take for example, the sending of the seventy by the Lord (Luke chapter10). The Lord first commissioned them, gave them power, and then directed them where to go and what to do. They came back to report that the demons were subject to them. This sounded great and acceptable to Jesus Christ. He could see within His spirit, passing through space, and time, that today in 21st -century Europe, there will be a group He can call His own and with whom to consider enlistment into an army, to win fallen Europe back to Him and the Father. Beloved, Jesus rejoiced with that in view saying, “I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven” (Luke 10” 18). Today, we stand in that position and that threshold of the unique vision and mission of Winning Europe back for Christ. 

The term “winning” in the theme means more than—and goes far beyond—evangelistic outreach to win souls for Christ. Here, we are about to set out on a spiritual journey, battles, and all to win, take-over, possess, and re-order Europe, her peoples, creation, matters, affairs, and all for the praise and glory of God. In short, we are engaged in considering a mission to win, take-over, and place Europe under God and His Christ, for His government, kingdom, reign, and rule in this our generation and age now and forever. 

Welcome on board the Divine Ark and Redemption Mission Machine to win and possess Europe for Christ. Note: The Ark is Jesus Christ; the Redemption Mission Machine is the mission enterprise under consideration. Beloved, I will personally need your prayers for spirit, knowledge, wisdom, utterance, and special anointing for my task in steering the Divine Ark and Mission Machine for the Holy Spirit to carry and land us all safely on the shores of Europe for Christ. 

INTRODUCTION 

The opening topic of the conference is THE STATE OF EUROPE AND THE CHURCH. 

Brethren, I had many ideas floating in my mind on this topic. Then the Lord asked me to consider affairs in 18th century Europe. I did some reading. But in the end, the Lord told me to declare simply that “EUROPE IS IN A STATE OF DARKNESS AND DEATH.” That, this state of affair has come about primarily because Europe rejected Him God and His Son, the Anointed One and decided further to break away from His Will, Law, Commandments, His Love, Light, Way, His Truth, and the Knowledge of Him, His Goodness, Blessings, Presence, and Kingdom Order on earth.  Instead, Europe undertook to establish society, people, and nations in Satan-human power and kingdom order.  

Europe which first accepted God and His Christ, established Church, government, and people under God—Christ and the scriptures, built cathedrals, transformed the arts and allowed Christ to order a spiritual and social order after Him, turned away from Christ, His Government, and Kingdom order. 

Europe has since the 18th century turned gradually from faith in God and His reign and rule in human affairs, the dominance of the Judeo-Christian ethic, and social order unto atheistic and humanist directed social order. She has set in place the humanist-secular state with virtual total political power as God and with political order and government, social order, and culture dictated by the rejection of God, the knowledge and honor of Him, His law, commandments, and counsel in private and public life as well as social and national affairs as a whole. Until recently, Europe has been totally dead and buried. However, the Church is re-igniting the Divine light hence, Europe has entered into a state of darkness and death. The truth here is that darkness has a shade of light but not full illumination.  

To be sure, modern Europe is caught deep in Satanism and idolatry and humanist perversion of life. Both will require special Divine intervention, deliverance, and redemption to break the chains of captivity in darkness and death. Indeed, there is great need for spirit, life, light, and resurrection spirit and power of Jesus Christ to waken, rebuild, strengthen, and establish Europe back in God. Europe must come out of the grave. The Spirit of the Lord must have way to shed the light of God aflame once again in Europe. That is to say, Europe which first witnessed, experienced, and tasted the light and goodness of God, Europe which enjoyed the beauty of Christ’s  (Messianic) Government and Kingdom Order has not only fallen from grace and glory, but also has been totally overtaken by darkness and death, and in the most part, buried in the grave.   

Darkness and death took dominion in Europe due to three main reasons: – 

i. The Church has abandoned the vision/mission of the Kingdom of God and His Christ on earth and with it the Christ (Messianic) redemption government and kingdom order. 

ii. The Church has rejected the truth, spirit, light, and claims of Jesus Christ and the Word of God in the Church’s own witness as well as on life and conduct and in society as a whole (Isaiah 2: 6). Learning, knowledge and the arts, politics, governance, business, social, and cultural affairs all have closed their doors to the Spirit, Light, and Way of God. 

iii. Silver and gold, military weapons and technology have become the princes of Europe. 

The story is that the Church in Europe once upon a time, beginning in the Reformation time fell foul of the True Vine, the Vision and Mission, and place of the church in historical Europe and in national and human affairs in general. Europe rejected God, His life and light, His dominion and cover. The dominance of God, Christ, the Church, and the Faith in Europe has since lapsed and lost spirit, strength, and fire to the extent that today, the Church is deeply engaged in debate over whether there be God, and also over the truth, meaning, relevance, and application of the truth of Scripture, the law and commandments of God, and the Word of God in general. 

There is also serious debate within the church over the need to establish peoples and nations under God whether to order human and national affairs on the basis of Scripture and in the knowledge, government, and Kingdom of God. Many a minister, many a Church has abandoned Christ (Messianic) government and Kingdom mission. Despite the massive Divine investment and power once bestowed upon her, the Church has grown wild—bringing forth “wild grapes and briers” instead of the fruit of the Kingdom. In the so-called modern ‘pluralistic secular state’ human liberty has been re-defined as it were to imply liberation from the hold of God on human life, not just the moral life. 

The modern state has assumed a Divine posture, such that it is not and should not be made subject to God or any higher authority or law above her stipulations. The constitution written or non-written of nations and its stipulations are of higher precedence, consequence, and compelling force than God and Holy Writ. Again, Europe is deeply entrenched in Satan-man kingdom order where the spirit of Satan and of man, the philosophies, theories, laws, and commandments of men devoid of truth, light, and life hold people in bondage. Life has been reduced to a drudgery of “eat, drink, and die,” and hence, depravity, greed, violence, and hedonism have held billions in bondage and captivity. 

THE CHURCH MISSION 

In this connection, it must be appreciated that for any vision and mission for Church Mission in Europe, not only must the Church reconnect with the truth and reality of God, but she must also confront and settle her internal squabbles and undertake a necessary, inevitable ‘house cleaning’ in the knowledge and obedience of God. This must lead to a fresh order regarding the Church message, her mission, and her place in the affairs of society and nations. It may be remembered in this connection the story of Jesus triumphant entry into Jerusalem, His turning of tables and house cleaning exercise as recorded in Matthew 21: 12-14. The spiritual and cultural transformation must start in the church. Brethren, the Church Mission in Europe in this era would require real Revival of Truth, True Worship and Service, the Law, Light, and Way of God. There must be true definition and re-visitation of the fullness of church mission which in its true sense is made up of; 

a. CHURCH BUILDING (Matthew 28: 18-20; Ephesians 4: 11-16; etc) 

This involves the salvation of souls, discipling, and establishing the people of God in Christ, the Truth of Scripture, Worship, Life, and Service in the knowledge and fear, praise, and glory of God.  

b. KINGDOM BUILDING (Isaiah 9: 6-7; Matthew 6: 9-13, 33; 24: 14; Revelation 11: 15) 

This involves the reconciliation, deliverance, and redemption of God in the affairs of nations and establishing society, peoples, and nation under God, His Government and Kingdom Order of peace, righteousness, justice, and joy. 

c. NATION BUILDING (Matthew 28: 20; Isaiah 42: 1-10; 61: 1-6; Luke 4: 18-19) 

The ordering of the spiritual and social order, building, and establishing political, government, economic, social, and cultural affairs in the Truth, Light, Knowledge, and Honor of God so there be One God, One People, One Nation, One Destiny of Peace, Progress, and Prosperity under God (Isaiah 2: 1-5).  

These three activities constitute the essentials in church mission in the nations. Through them, Christ can possess the nations unto the uttermost ends of the world as envisioned in Psalm 2, (cf verses 7-12). Unfortunately, the Church is weakened by disconnection with Jesus Christ and particularly the Holy Spirit, and the authority and power behind the commission and mandate to be able to witness effectively of Christ to the nations and win them over for Him. It may be appreciated therefore, that if there are any plans in church mission to win, take-over and possess nation for Christ, the Church will have to examine the above three mission pillars and objectives extensively. For this to be effective, the Church will also need to consider three important aspects of national life and affairs in the world and world order in general: – 

i. The Spirit Powers, principalities, and powers in control over nations, peoples, and world affairs—The Spiritual Order 

ii. The Political and Social Structure in the politics, governance, management, and conduct of affairs and life in the nations —The Political Order 

iii. The nature and content of worship and message of the Church and the Truth, Spirit, and Place of Jesus Christ in the Church and the faith professed and the worship and service of God vis-à-vis the religious belief systems and cultures of peoples and nations—The Religious Order

The Spiritual, Political, and Religious Orders are the three realms of deep concern for the Truth, Life, and Light of God in church mission. The state of affairs in the three realms will guide the modus operandi in winning nations, in any case, even as directed by the Holy Spirit. 

CONCLUSION 

Europe is in a state of darkness and death. There is need for light and life, spirit, and power to save, deliver, redeem, and raise Europe from the grave and transform her for Christ and the Kingdom of God. Unfortunately, the modern church in Europe seem to lack spirit, strength, knowledge, and power to confront the ravaging forces that have subjected Europe into darkness and death. The ravaging forces must be investigated and confronted with the truth, light, and firepower of God, the word and fire of the Holy Spirit. The truth is this: CHRIST WOULD NOT LET EUROPE GO. The Church must, therefore, WAKE UP.  We are here to consider God’s vision for the world and Christ’s mandate and mission thereon. The Church in Battle to Win, Take-over, and Possess Europe for Christ is a heavenly vision and mission agenda.
