THE STATE OF THE NATION: A HARVEST OF CORRUPTION AND CONFUSION

Central Spiritual Truth: A nation that abandons righteousness for corruption and greed loses its identity and faces the collapse of its vital institutions.

• The nation has been beset with undercurrents of “disassociation, currents of dishonor and shame”.
• Corruption has permeated every department of national life, including marriage, chieftaincy, university admissions, and the justice delivery system.
• National assets and resources intended for development were “sold out” or “transferred” by those in positions of trust.
• Public institutions, including health, education, and social services, were collapsing while people resigned or marched due to unpaid salaries.
• The Ghanaian identity has been eroded as citizens flee the country to seek greener pastures, becoming integrated into foreign cultures and losing their heritage.

THE PROPHETIC FISH POND: THE DEPARTURE OF THE CHURCH

Central Spiritual Truth: When the Church prioritizes miracles and material gain over the Word of God, it becomes a “marketplace” rather than a place of rescue.

• The church has been described as a “prophetic fishpond” where everyone claims to be a prophet to gain personal advantage.
• People go to church to surround pastors and prophets for miracles rather than to worship God in spirit and in truth.
• Prophets have turned the ministry into a business, dispensing “cars, goodies, and miracles” for profit.
• There is no unity in the church as ministers’ group themselves against one another.
• Congregants are no longer taught the scriptures or how to wait upon God; they are only taught to seek “fast food” miracles and simple convenience.

THE DIVINE INTERVENTION: GOD AS THE RESCUER OF GHANA

Central Spiritual Truth: God is the redeemer and righteous judge who intervenes to save a nation from perishing when human leadership fails.

• God promised to rescue Ghana not just from economic lack, but from the “perishing” of the character and conduct of the people.
• Even when national coffers were empty and institutions had collapsed, God maintained a “peaceful and God-honoring unity”.
• The Lord has established His throne over the land to ensure stability and security despite financial and political challenges.
• God is silencing the spirits and powers that politicians and “personal allies” have called upon for influence.
• The Most High God acts as the “God, king, lord, lawmaker and ruler” of the nation.

 2016: THE YEAR OF CHANGE AND DIVINE GLORY

Central Spiritual Truth: Divine glory manifests through the destruction of evil systems and the establishment of God’s righteous court.

• 2016 is declared a year of “great events” and “happenings of divine glory”.
• The Lord is taking over to destroy the “machineries of corruption” and deal with “evil workers”.
• There will be a shift from “political fishing ponds” to a spiritual atmosphere of “peace and quiet”.
• Change will not be a single event but a step-by-step process of restoration.
• God Himself will sit as the “righteous judge” in His own court to bring true justice to the land.

Exhortations, Prayers, and Calls to Action:

• Acknowledge the Creator: Bring the nation’s attention back to God as the “father of all spirits” and the “redeemer of our nation”.
• Reject Greedy Calculations: Preachers must study the scripture and deliver messages by the unction of the Holy Spirit rather than by “calculations” for personal advantage.
• Seek God’s Face: Learn how to “see the face of the Lord” and wait upon Him in the “wilderness” of life, just as the multitudes did with Jesus.
• Live by Righteousness: Choose to live by righteousness and be content with little, depending solely on God’s help rather than corrupt means.
• Call Upon the Lord: Remember that whoever “calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved,” but do so in truth, not just by shouting “Lord, Lord”.
