BLESSED ARE THE POOR IN SPIRIT

Series:

THEME: THE RANSOM OF THE SOUL AND THE FUTILITY OF NATURAL WISDOM

I. THE CALL TO INHERITANCE

God has called man unto peace,

To salvation from sins,

Redemption from the fall, weakness and captivity and the

Restoration of lost glory and blessedness

He offers an inheritance of His own nature:

Eternal life, rest, joy, and glory

In His Everlasting Kingdom.

II. THE BEATITUDE OF THE SEEKER

Blessed are you who believe,

Who humbly accept and receive the call to Divine life,

In trust, obedience, and life of faith, love, and hope in God, the Creator.

Blessed are they that seek, find, and know,

Worshipping the Lord God Creator in spirit and in truth;

They shall enter the heavenly Kingdom and see the Creator Himself.

III. THE VANITY OF THE NOBLE

Life on earth is a life of darkness and death,

A life of problems, woes, and torment.

The kings, fathers, the wise, and the nobles

Have contemplated and considered life

But found no solution to the curse and woes of mortal and corruptible man.

Whose knowledge, wisdom, understanding, power, efforts, work, and plans

Remain futile, unable to solve,

And wipe out the woes of sinful sorrowful man.

Silence of the graveyard makes mockery of the pride of man.

IV. THE LAW OF THE DUST

It was in the beginning that the creator opened;

The secret box of sin and death

And set in place the law of sin and death.

From the dust He made man,

And to the dust He commended proud, disobedient, corruptible sinful man.

Thou turnest man to destruction and sayest;

Return ye children of men,

For thou carriest them away as with a flood

They wander as sheep in the mourning,

They are like grass which growth and flourisheth,

But in the evening is cut down.

For we are consumed by Thine anger,

And by Thy wrath, are we destroyed.

 (Psalm 90)

V. THE RANSOM AND THE REBIRTH

Who can deliver us out of this tumultuous but futile life?

Thanks be to Jesus Christ,

Who has offered His life as a ransom.

He paid the price for the soul of man.

And has breathed a new sinless Divine spirit into mortal man,

And opened the gates of the Kingdom of heaven,

And eternal life to all who believe and come to Him.

In Him is the Spirit of Light,

life eternal and Divine glory.

VI. THE POOR IN SPIRIT VS. THE ASTUTE

Blessed are the poor in spirit,

Who will trust and accept the Christ Salvation, Redemption, Restoration, Eternal Life and Glory

Who trust not in themselves,

Nor put their spirit-soul,

Trust and hope in man, as well as the spirits, principalities, and powers

The spirits seeking whom to rob, control, and devour.

The ‘wise’ of the world—the intellectual, learned, and astute—

Who trust in the natural abilities and capacities,

The virtue of creation and opportunities in society and the world

And not in the creator—

Of their soul-spirit remain under Satan oppression,

And control and Divine wrath and death system.
