DIVINE CALL FOR A HALT TO RUN DOWN ON STATE BANKS, FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS, NATIONAL ASSETS, RESOURCES, AND THE TREASURY (PART 2)
THEME: SAFEGUARDING THE COMMANDING HEIGHTS OF THE NATIONAL ECONOMY
In Part 1, we relayed a Divine message calling for presidential intervention to halt the planned run down on state banks and financial institutions by some politicians and business folks in collusion with professionals, executives, and public officials. It appears a new breed of politicians, business folks, management, executives, professionals, and public officials are rising who are not only driven by greed, aggrandizement, evil, corruption, fraud, immorality, and wickedness.
They are also developing themselves into rapist, robbery, and roguery gangs that would take education, professional, and vocational skills, opportunities, position, and power as well as family, tribal, school ties, political, and business connections into machinery of sabotage, robbery, roguery, social destabilization, and destruction of the nation. Above all, they are establishing pillars of unrighteousness, injustice, and wickedness, and the rejection of the knowledge, fear, and honor of God in a Divine blessed country as Ghana. They reject the spirit of peace, life, liberty, freedom, justice, and the worship of God in the nation.
In the language of Jesus Christ in John 10:10, this breed of citizens has come but to Steal, Kill, and Destroy the glorious heritage of the country. They have no love for the nation and people, no conscience, no moral scruples, or righteous and just standards for leadership, national enterprise, and life. Their aim and goals are no more than riches, wealth, possessions, and power, whatever way. In short, they are set for vexations and vanity.
We seize the opportunity provided by this Divine message to the President, the Government, and the Nation to call for OPEN NATIONAL PRAYER. We cry out in denunciation, and rise against the new, inimical, and dangerous trend in conduct and national affairs. For, if this new trend continues, it will inevitably lead to grave spiritual, political, economic, and cultural crises in the land. Furthermore, it may give rise to counterpart political, economic, and cultural ‘gangs’ around the country, all engaged in dastardly scramble for the assets, resources, and people of the country.
God forbid that it be so! Political parties, businesses, governments, national assets, and resources will be taken over and run by gangs of diverse kinds—SAD WILL BE THE DAY!
LET US STOP THIS!! We cannot build a peaceful, righteous, just, morally sound, and compact society and nation this way. What shall it profit our nation and the generations coming if we build such a pretentious, disorderly, and vexatious nation? GOD SAVE GHANA!
We appeal, therefore, to all churches, political parties, commerce and industry. We call upon professional groups, employers, labor fronts, chiefs, elders, family heads, and civic society as a whole, Rise up for OPEN MASS DENUNCIATION. We must call for an immediate halt to the spiritual, moral, economic, and social crime and treachery against our nation and its people. Ghana must reject satanic craftiness, human sinful, and wicked disposition and treachery being advanced by this ‘new breed’ of citizens—in the church, state, and nation juggling facts and figures, robbing and destroying nation. Their modus operandi of lies, falsehood, fraud, and flattery, cannot and in fact will not augur well for the country.
In this direction, we declare boldly in the name of the Most High God that Ghana now stands on a unique spiritual platform with Divine heritage and a destined glory within the eternal plans of the Most High God for Africa and nations of the world.
The spiritual state of peace and righteousness of the country is primarily due to Divine intervention, redemption, goodness, and mercy in Christ Jesus the Son towards the country. This has opened wide heavenly doors for economic and social development, progress, and prosperity for the good, well-being, joy, and happiness of people and nation.
It is deeply saddening to observe in this direction that another gospel—a gospel of faith in gain, money, power, success, possession, position, and fame—has now risen within the church. The new gospel is attempting to establish a new worldly version of faith, righteousness, and godliness. This is doing much harm and damage to the people and the country. On the other hand, there have arisen political, economic, social, and cultural leaders, dames, and gentry who not just debunk honesty, righteousness, and faithfulness in life, works, and society—they have denounced conscience, love, loyalty to the nation and the people, employers, and institutions as well as loyal, responsible, and godly conduct in enterprises. Politics and business, professional and vocational pursuits, corporate management and government have all become nothing but avenues for personal gain and power, and the hunt for the control of resources, men and materials, companies and country.
This new breed of leaders in the church and state, government and nation engaged in the pursuit of money, gain, wealth, power, position, possessions, fortune, dominion, success, fame, and pleasure are now contending to control the COMMANDING HEIGHTS OF THE NATION. They are even creeping into chieftaincy with its idolatry, blood sacrifices, and demonic influences and Satan power control systems.
Today, according to the Lord, we have citizens who have pledged to plunder and run down State Banks and financial institutions and transfer national assets to themselves through diverse immoral, dishonest, and wicked ways and outright gangster styles robbery. By their professional training and insight, by their political party affiliations and government positions, by their family and gangster ties, by dubious, dishonest, and immoral means, they are planning to plunge the state banks and financial institutions—including the Bank of Ghana, under their control. In fact, they want to be the Lords of Ghana!
Corruption, dishonesty, immorality, unrighteousness, injustice, plain misconduct, robbery, and thievery are launched, promoted, and shielded through political and cultural ties, professional, management and business practice.
Without going into the merits and demerits of the dismantling of the Black Star Line and state corporations after the 1966 coup—or the subsequent ones such as with IMF conditionalities that lumped the country into unprecedented devaluation with consequential reduction of the values of national assets and sale of state enterprises and national assets, this new wave to attempt to steal and run down national assets, we are persuaded seems to follow the rundown of Ghana Airways and state corporations. The evil hand of collusion between politicians, executives, business folk, and professionals without conscience, without knowledge and fear of God and without love and loyalty to the country and the people cannot be discounted. This was and is being aided and abetted by and/or through the ignorance and docility of our people and the silence if not secret support of the powers that be.
Though the President has constitutional, legal, and moral duty and power to halt the mess, the church, political parties, chiefs, people, and the nation must also place their hands to the axe. There must be a halt to the ongoing plan to run down state banks and financial institutions and the transfer of national assets and resources to individuals—both domestic and foreign in the open glare of government, nation, and people. The rise of the new non conscionable, morally bankrupt, and greedy citizens must be stopped in its tracks now.
The Bank of Ghana must not be made an unwitting economy destruction ploy and self-destruction organ with this diabolical move.
Let us bring a halt to the rundown of state banks, financial institutions and treasury. We can work together to change the spiritual, moral, and cultural parameters of the country.
The Ghanaian must be God-fearing, morally sound, godly, and loyal person, for it is written: ‘Righteousness exalteth a nation’ (Proverbs 14:34). People of Ghana, let us rise together to save the state banks and preserve national assets for all generations.
GOD SAVE GHANA!
GOD BLESS GHANA!
