CHRISTIANS IN GHANA, BEWARE!

Series:

THEME: RESISTING POLITICIZATION AND RECLAIMING THE CITY OF GOD

Praise ye the LORD. The Most High God has directed us to call attention of the Church, Government, People, and Nation to the great harm that POLITICIZATION has done to the country. According to the Lord, politicization is the prime factor causing the weakening, corruption, pollution, poor performance, and delivery of national, state, and government institutions and the public services in general.

Politicization, says the Lord, is a deliberate work of politicians—beginning with President Nkrumah through the years—to take over and possess the nation. It is a grab for her resources of men, materials, and wealth as well as the minds, hearts, spirits, and lives of the people into their hands for their direction, exploitation, and control for their determined selfish ends and benefit. Thus, politics in Ghana has driven from race for the control of people and country, not just for supporters, during the days of colonial agitation to the race to date for the control of people, resources, wealth, and destiny of the country. In this respect, philosophical platforms and ideological slogans are all but mechanisms of taking over and possessing people and country. Divide, weaken, oppress, and rule is the maxim. National resources have been siphoned off, wasted, and expended on private individual and group pleasure. Stagnation is the result.

Today, we have a highly polarized and weak country with confused and traumatized people. Politicians want to extend this to the Church of God in the land. They are set to divide, weaken, and marginalize the Church, if not overturn, oppress, and reject her. They bribe, corrupt, and direct ministers to pollute the Truth, Light, and Power of the Church and the minds of the flock, torment the spirit of the faithfuls and holy vessels of God in the land. But the Church is the source of divine spirit power, authority, and wisdom, holding the nation compact and intact, bringing the peace, mercy, and blessings of God upon the nation.

Now, the net result of politicization is:

a. The lack of clarity and agreement on national interest, national agenda, and national direction.

b. The Polarization of country is not so much into haves and have not, as philosophical, ideological, and political party slots—not excluding political party tribal slots.

c. The corruption, inundation, misdirection, pollution, and abuse of national resources, state, and government institutions and the public service administrations, development, and management machinery.

Besides, politicization and corruption have combined to rob the Constitution and laws of the land of their spirit, fire, strength, and bite. Consequently, Illegality and immorality have been “sanctioned,” promoted, and pursued in the name of politics and political expediency, so to give the politics of money, power, position, popularity, and fame leeway and the semblance of legality and credibility. This has created a hydra-headed beast we can call DISLOYALTY. Disloyalty has robbed the government of spirit, legality, unity, and strength, affecting the critical arms of government namely; the Executive, Legislature, and Judiciary—and, even more so, the public services. The most hit are the Military, Police, Security Services, national commissions, and state enterprises. All of these have been weakened, polluted, and abused in the name of “Government” or if you may, the people in power or worse still, the political parties or politicians in power and control.

Disloyalty has caused dishonesty, unrighteousness, and injustice to be “sanctified” and given whited robes. The Holy Scriptures warn us here of the leaven of the Pharisees, where hypocrisy, false standards, and lies are the ways of people in office, polluting everything. Today, corruption, robbery, malfeasance, hypocrisy, lies, falsehood, evil ways, and wickedness have all been whitewashed by LIES, FALSE REPRESENTATION, FLATTERY and TONGUE POWER (Psalm 12). Truth is missing in the corridors of power; falsehood and lies are the language and style in the streets of Ghana. The godly, humble, and true have no space nor voice.

Indeed, many professing Christians in politics, business, and the professions have joined the fray, denying the tenets of truth, peace, righteousness, justice, and the purity of the word of God and the faith. Many have tainted the truth and defiled their garments in the pursuit of money, meat, drink, and power. For these reasons and others, the spirit of the Lord is upon us to warn the Church—Clergy and Laity, Ministers and Flock—against the subtle moves of politicians to divide and dilute the Church, truth, purity, integrity, unity, and strength of the Church, by politicians with their ideologies, party affiliation, colorations, divisions, and polarize the Church.

As we know, the Church is a heaven-ordained, ordered, constituted, and established institution of called out, chosen, and faithful people made holy unto God—established in Truth, Light, and the Ways of God. Righteousness, Faithfulness, Justice, Liberty, and Joy in God constitutes the basis of the Purity, Beauty, and Glory of God unto eternity for the Church people.

The Church is of heaven and high above all things. The teaching, direction, and destined glory of the faith, are of a higher and eternal consequence—greater than the claims and goals of party politics and the philosophies, ideologies, theories, and earthly glory of men, spirits, and powers. ‘Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness’ is of a higher stature, effect, and consequence than, seek ye first ‘Satan-man’ earthly political kingdom.

In any case, the Church and her pulpit are not devoted to earthly political kingdom order. The Church’s preaching and teachings, politics, and glory are of the Kingdom of heaven and its glory on earth. The Church’s end is the Kingdom of God and His Christ, Reign and Rule on earth, not of Satan-man kingdom order. We build the City of God, not the city of man.  The God Kingdom politics and battles of the Church are therefore, geared to liberate, save, deliver, and set free captives of ‘Satan-man’ alliance—a spiritual and social order politics, government, and kingdom on earth. The pulpit preaching, teaching, exhortation, and direction in the church cannot and should not be subjected therefore, to the aspirations and control of men, spirits, powers, politicians and political parties of the ‘Satan-man’ fraternity.

The congregations and people of the Church are holy unto God. They are specially called out people, for Heaven Ordered Divine conduct and life on earth. The flock are a TRUST UNTO THE PRIESTHOOD, that is—the Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, Teacher, as well as the Laity of Elders, Deacons, Stewards et al. Our Loyalty, Honor, Glory, Life, and Conduct are unto God, Eternal Life and Glory, not unto the varying, unstable, ever-changing, and competing temporal philosophies, ideologies, and theories of men.

The secular, uncertain, pluralistic idolatrous state of many gods is not just of men and of spirits, doomed, and damned eternally so; it is an abomination unto God the Creator, Father of Jesus Christ by whom all things, Saviour, Redeemer, King and Lord, Head of the Church. The Church has a duty and right to preach, teach, exhort, and direct on heaven order, conduct, and life on earth as well as comment and direct on the idolatrous, sinful, evil, and wicked ways of spirits and men, the gods and order of the world.

To be sure, the Executive, Legislature, Judiciary, and Public Services are all subject to the Truth and Law of God, the Knowledge, Righteousness, and Obedience of His Will, Light, and Way. That is to say, there is a higher Law, Light, and Life, which all men and creation are subject to, whether they admit, acknowledge, love, and like them or not.

“The Law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure making wise the simple. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.” (Psalm 19:7-11). Christians and Good Citizens of Ghana, let us follow after peace, righteousness, and justice and the good of the land. Peace, prosperity, the mercy, goodness, and blessedness of God can only happen in full humble acknowledgment, submission, honor, obedience of God.

If we do, God will surely bless Ghana, our God chosen motherland. If we refuse, we will remain in slavery, captivity, darkness, and death—regardless of any material, physical, and intellectual progress or not. God is the builder of godly, peaceful, stable, permanent, and eternally standing nation and people. HIM ALONE WE WORSHIP AND SERVE, LIVE AND REJOICE IN. Christians, beware of the enemies of God, the Faith, and the Church. STAND UP FOR GOD, GHANA, THE PEOPLE AND OUR NATIONAL GLORY.

GOD BLESS GHANA.
