SERMON TITLE: The Kingdom Gate

SYNOPSIS
The keys to the kingdom of heaven are obtained by faith in Christ. Without
faith in Christ, one cannot enter, experience and enjoy the full powers of the
kingdom of God.

TRANSCRIPTS
You must be a citizen of the kingdom first. If you are not a citizen of the
kingdom, you will never understand it. Spiritual things are spiritually
discerned. You will think in the flesh. That reminds me of a lecturer at
Legon. I can’t remember his name, but I heard him on radio. He was
criticizing speaking in tongues. He wrote an article in I think the weekly
spectators in those days and he was saying that he went to Winneba and
some people were speaking in tongues so then he listened to them, and then
he too heard some of the syllables. “laba labo laba, laba” so he too started
saying what he heard. Then he said, me too, I spoke in tongues. Is it true?
No. He was hearing sound, words, and then he picked some of the words and
he was repeating the words being spoken by those filled with the Holy Ghost
and because he could keep those words in his mind and repeat them, he
thinks he was speaking in tongues.
I was giving a lecture to some pastors, the other day, somewhere I think in
London or somewhere or even Accra here and I was telling them that you
see these scenes, then one pastor said, bro. Enoch what do you mean by
speaking in tongues if that is not speaking in tongues. Can you imagine that?
The bible said, speaking in tongues, who gives us the utterance? The spirit of
God, gives us the utterance. It is the spirit of God that speaks through you,

not your spirit that is speaking. Even if your spirit speaks, it is in
collaboration, anointing, enablement, direction and empowerment by the
Holy Spirit. Therefore, if you hear somebody speaking in tongues and you
repeat it, you are not speaking in tongues. It is just like you go to France and
they are speaking French and then you hear “Comment allez vous?” The
French man would not say comment allez vous? in the streets of France but
you read it in the book, when we were young people. I have a friend in
Britain. He said, this is O-level French. Or you hear somebody speak in the
street of Paris and say “ca va?” And you respond “ca va bien.” Then you
say, me too, I am speaking French. Is it true? Apart from ca va bien, you
don’t know anything again, so you are actually not speaking French. You are
mentioning some French words, but you don’t speak French. So, you know
the famous church I used to see? There is a church where speaking in
tongues becomes like chanting. The Indian chanting.
I’ll tell you a secret. Those of you who are in Accra, who come to the House
of Prayer on Friday or even Sunday come to the House of Worship. Have
you seen, have you heard of that church? The whole thing is orchestrated so
everybody who is speaking tongues in that church, how do they do it? I’ll tell
you when it started. It started in the 70s. That particular speaking in tongues
started in the 70s. I was in Aburi garden waiting upon the Lord, and the
gentleman came there. He brought a few people, and I realized that they
were not speaking in tongues, but so they were repeating these words.
Beloved, the thing has continued till today, from the 70s. That church is
noted by that one and they think they are in the kingdom, they are not. There
are many people in that church, and now familiar spirits are ruling that
church. They are not in the kingdom. That’s why the Bible says there are
many people. There are many gatherings, but He has no people there. People
come from all over the place to that place on Friday. There’s no space but if
they start speaking in tongues, you can sit down and take a watch and time
them. The whole band and everything there follow the same pattern. It
started in Aburi garden. I witnessed it with my eyes and nose and today,
2008, the same thing is continuing. “This is a popular church” but I was a

witness. I was waiting on the Lord, and I was in my room, then the Lord
said, listen to something. How the man got those words, he was practicing it
Aburi garden then he established the system, and everybody is following till
today. Except a man is born again he cannot see much more enter.
The second thing we want to learn here is that to enter the kingdom, you do
it by faith in in Christ. First, you must be born again, secondly, you must
have faith. After you have been born again, something must follow. You are
born again by faith. You are born again to see, to understand spiritual things.
but you enter by faith in Christ. There’s a distinction between being born
again and entering the kingdom. I want us to distinguish here that to be born
again is a one -time affair. After you have believed and you accept Christ
and you confess, Christ comes to make his abode in you then you are born
again, Romans 10: 10, but to live, experience and enter the kingdom of
God’s life, which is spiritual, is by faith in Christ. We are born again by faith
in Christ.
If you are a kingdom person, then the key there is faith in Christ. If you
don’t have faith in Christ, you can have faith in yourself, you can have faith
in something else and that is not of the kingdom but to live a kingdom life,
to bear a kingdom fruit and to be a kingdom person is by faith in Christ.
Your life conditions, your philosophy of life, your understanding of life, the
pursuit of happiness in this world, the pursuit of professional competence or
excellence or whatever you want to call it should be faith in Christ. If you
don’t have faith in Christ, you operate at a human level. You operate at a
certain level but not in the kingdom level. It is not at a spiritual level. The
Lord has opened the kingdom realm and in the kingdom realm, there are
parallels. There’s a human kingdom, there’s Satan’s kingdom, and there’s a
God kingdom and in those three realms, you can have similarly same results.
A man can think and create without faith in God. Satan can do things and
he’s denying God. God also does his thing so if you are only looking at
results, similarities, you may think that because this thing looks like this one
it is the same. No, the kingdom thing is different and the key to the kingdom

thing is faith in Jesus Christ. If you are operating intellectually, and you
want to think and you depend upon the mind, you depend upon your
thinking power and you have not got faith in Christ. You’ll be walking in the
human realm and you may get results in the human realm, but they are not of
the kingdom because the ways of God are not your ways. When you get into
a realm, you think as a human being and you operate as a human being so
Satan or some other spirit can take you apart but when you are in Christ,
Christ can tell you that this is not of me, this is the way I want it done.
Faith in Christ, trust in God, not just knowledge of the word, but faith in
Christ, which is a spiritual position, your heart is given to Christ, therefore,
you can hear Christ, and he can direct you in the very issue. You can get the
same result, but it’s by God and not by your effort.
The kingdom gates. The issues of Life are spiritual. Satan has his part, man
has his part and God has his part. There are children of God, children of
Satan and children of men. Man can do what is pleasing to him, Satan also
does wonders for man to be pleased and there are the issues of the kingdom
of God. To be able to receive the Holy Spirit, the understanding and the
ways of God, you need to have faith in Christ. There is no spirit or no way
by which you can enter God’s kingdom except by faith in Christ.
We are having a program next week, the following Sunday, 30th, and we
call it “The Ghana Woman, a festival of the Ghana Woman, the woman of
distinction and achievement and honor and glory in Ghana and Africa,” and
we are gathering women, people who are Christian women of faith and of
distinction and achievement and having a special anointing. I don’t want to
use anointing, but there shall be an impartation, for these women, because
Ghana is now a new Ghana, and we want mothers who can nurture the
children of this new Ghana, and women are in a better position to do it at
this time of the history of the nation. So, we are gathering the women of
distinction, who have already believed in God. A woman was speaking on
television, and she was very nice, and I have heard she’s a Christian; she’s a
minister of state. I saw this woman and I was excited so I called Sister
Rosina and said you see the woman on the television, why don’t you bring

this woman? I called her, what do you think? This woman, I won’t mention
her name, is a woman of distinction in Ghana. She’s a minister of state, very
responsible position, and the kind of thing we are doing, she would be a
great person, and she goes to church. When I was in America, somebody
mentioned her name to me. The woman told me that when she comes to
America, she sleeps with her, so she was going to mention my name. I was
laughing to her. When I mentioned her name and said, we should invite her,
immediately the Holy Spirit took over and started describing the situation.
The bottom line is that these people depend upon their knowledge and their
understanding. She cannot be a Christian and she’s not the person you can
depend on to spread or propagate the kingdom message, or the new Ghana
yet she’s a minister on President Kuffuor’s government. A sound minister,
able minister, “accomplished” minister but God said, this woman cannot be
in my team. On the human level, she’s smart but on the spiritual level, she is
not acceptable to God. How do I know? Except, I’m filled with the Holy
Ghost, and I depend on Christ. So, when I was telling sister Rosina about
this woman, the Holy Spirit just started, then entered and started speaking
about the woman, and not her, but certain a phenomenon so I said, Sister, we
are not inviting her again. If you use your human mind to do God’s work,
you will destroy things but if you walk with the Holy Spirit, whatever you
do shall be right. If we had invited this woman, the whole of Ghana would
have had publicity because she is important so wherever she goes the press
will go but is she a Christian? Is she a member of the kingdom? Is she a
person that God can trust? That you can anoint to go and do things for the
kingdom? The Lord said no, she’s not.
You can be in this church and depend upon your intelligence, you depend
upon your contacts, you are an investor and you depend upon the analysis of
the stock market and the brokers come and give you presentations and cost
analysis, you know all the other management principles and you know all
the management principles and you do them to arrive at a gain but when you
have faith in Christ you put that aside, you call upon his name, he will give
you direction and maybe the investment you want to do may be correct but

the Lord will say no, there is another investment here go here. It’s an
investment but is it in the kingdom? Is God with you? How are you living
your life? Are you looking at with your physical eyes? You read something
in books about management administration of the church, management
principles and then you stand on the pulpit to preach it, and the people also
rejoice saying they are going to heaven. These are all earthly matters, and
they will pass away. They cannot affect the kingdom of Satan much more
enter into the kingdom of heaven. If you are operating there you are still
within the kingdom of Satan and man and it’s not of the Lord, yet you are
mentioning Jesus’ name. Jesus said, there are many people gathered there,
but they are not of me. I don’t know them. So, I’m asking you today, how are
you living your life? Is it by faith in Christ or your understanding of your
abilities? Do you remember Azuma Nelson. Azuma Nelson was going to
fight a Frenchman or somebody and Azuma Nelson went to Tajewu and got
power. From there he went to Oduamse and Asesewa to get another power.
The power that when you hit a man, you will fall. They call it “gyerapa.”
Azuma Nelson had a flag that day and a cross and he was marching because
he had power. Whilst he was fighting the man, he got to a round and
unfortunately the bell went. It was just when the bell went that Azuma
Nelson gave the man a punch and the man fell, but the bell had gone already
so the punch was not accepted, the man was not counted out. Azuma Nelson
had displayed his power, and the man had fallen but out of time. The knock
came after the bell, so it was not counted. Now Azuma Nelson was confused
because he had already spent his power. I was watching and I was laughing.
Azuma Nelson was confused for the latter rounds not knowing what to do
because the power is gone.
Is that your kind of life? When you depend on Christ, it will not happen. He
will time you. You will not spend that power that way. Man needs help. You
are intelligent, you have gone to be an apprentice, you are skilled but for that
job to be something God can use, and you can also give glory to his name, it
must be done with faith in Christ. If you use your human mind, men will
praise you but will not believe you when you share Gods word with them

because they know how you operate, and it is not with God. The holy Spirit
will also not be with you because you are not working spiritual works, but
worldly works and flesh and blood cannot enter the kingdom. You cannot
use human intellectual power and pretend that it is of God, it is not, and
Christ will not be there with you. Faith in Christ is the basis of the living
condition, operation and performance in life. Fifth, I speak against faith in
all things. There are many things there that you can put your faith in but
remember there’s a different faith in Christ and different faith in those other
things. In Hebrew 12: 22 to 28, “But ye are come unto Mount Zion, and unto
the city of the living God, a kingdom of the living God, and a heavenly
Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, to the general
assembly and church of the first born, which are written in heaven, and to
God the judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, and to Jesus
the mediator of the new covenant and to the blood of sprinkling. Faith in
Christ is a big thing. Jesus is the mediator and the blood that was shed at
calvary is the thing that opens the door for you. You can do other things, but
this kingdom must have a certificate of Christ upon it. The Christ stamp
must be upon that which you are building. “That speaketh better things than
that of Abel. See that you refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escape
not what refuse him that spake on earth, much more shall we not escape if
you turn away from him that speaketh from heaven. Whose voice then shook
the earth, but now he has promised saying, yet once more I shake not the
earth only, but also heaven. And this word, yet once more, signifies the
removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that
those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
Wherefore, we, receiving kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have
grace whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.
Amen. Beloved, this is the basis and hope of our stand. Other foundation can
no man lay, than that laid by Christ. 1 Corinthians 3 verse 9 to 13.
What is the conclusion of the matter? The kingdom gate is by definition the
entrance into the spirit power system of God through faith in Christ. Believe

in, confession of and receiving the spirit of Christ, we are born again and by
that we have opportunity to enter the kingdom, spirit power system of God.
We enter, operate, perform and enjoy the kingdom spirit life by faith in
Christ. This is the secret or mystery Jesus hinted at in Matthew 16:17 to 19.
When Peter said thou are the Christ, the son of the living God, he said flesh
and blood did not reveal this to you, but it is my father. Immediately he was
talking about the kingdom that time had come. Then he went on and said “I
give you the keys of Heaven and whatever you bound on earth shall be
bound in heaven, whatever you lose on earth shall be loosed way in heaven.
There’s a key into the kingdom of heaven and that key is faith in Christ. The
keys to the kingdom of heaven are obtained by faith in Christ. Without faith
in Christ, one cannot enter, experience and enjoy the full powers of the
kingdom of God. What is the kingdom gate? Faith in Christ. You are born
again, you enter by faith, you operate by faith, you do everything by faith in
Christ. Christ is a spirit and when you enter the spirit system, then you can
operate in spiritual realms. The way God wants his things done, that’s how
you do it, then you are in the kingdom Of God. If you do it somewhere, it
can be human system, but the way God wants it done, it is only when you
enter into Christ and you operate through the power, the gate of Christ and
enter into the kingdom, Jesus said, John 10:9, I am the door, if you enter,
you will find pasture. If you enter that way, then you can operate in spiritual
terms where God operates and you are in heaven. You speak in tongues,
tongues of angels and birds. Only God can do that. You have no knowledge
of how angels speak. You can’t interpret the voice of snakes and birds, but
when you enter the kingdom through faith in Christ, your ears shall be
opened, and you shall operate that way.
