TRANSCRIPTS

This year, the Lord has given us a word—a scripture to guide us: “And ye are a

chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that

ye should show forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of

darkness into His marvelous light.” —1 Peter 2:9

We are called to be a royal priesthood, chosen to reveal the marvelous light of

God in a dark world. This is not just a spiritual identity—it is a divine

responsibility. I want to share a few thoughts on the concept of royal priesthood,

which I’ve begun discussing on Facebook.

Last Friday, we went out to call on political parties and politicians to clean

house—to become proper representatives of God, the nation, and the people.

Ghana has been chosen by God to be the platform and open door for a new

divine heritage of glory—not just for Africa, but for the Gentile nations and the

world. Our nation stands in a very special position.

But who are the people God can entrust with this great responsibility? Who will

carry the burden of building a nation rooted in the knowledge, fear, and honor

of God? Who will make the kingdom of God and Christ a social reality?

The Bible tells us in Revelation 1:6 and 5:10 that God is reserving a people—a

royal priesthood. This identity carries two dimensions: royalty and priesthood.

The Royals

Royals are nobles—leaders who govern and protect the land. In our traditional

systems, kings and royals are entrusted with the affairs of the nation. In the

same way, God is raising up people in the church to be spiritual royals—nobles

equipped to carry out divine vision and manage the affairs of the nation.

If God is to establish His kingdom on earth, He needs these royals. He is

coming as King, Ruler, Lawgiver, Judge, and Governor. And He will rule

through a people—His royals.

The Priests

Jesus Christ is also our High Priest. Priests serve as mediators between God and

the people. They transmit God’s will, educate, disciple, and prepare the nation

in the knowledge and fear of God.

In the New Testament, the priesthood is expressed through the five-fold

ministry: Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers. These are the

people through whom God reveals Himself, teaches His law, and guides His

people.

So we have two key groups:

• The Royals: Politicians, lawyers, judges, ministers—those who govern.

• The Priests: Church leaders, ministers, prophets—those who reveal

God’s will.

If Ghana is to be a blessed nation—a watered garden—then these two groups

must rise. But today, they are the very ones failing God.

The Crisis

Corruption, wickedness, and evil in Ghana stem from two sources: politicians

and the church. Many church ministers—prophets, apostles, archbishops,

popes, evangelists—have failed God. Christians who are lawyers, doctors,

contractors, and professionals have also failed in their divine mandate.

The church is meant to be the beacon of hope. It is through the church that God

will raise leaders who can manage the nation with peace, righteousness, justice,

joy, and liberty. The priesthood must prepare the nation to know God and walk

in His ways.

If this is our scripture for the year, then we in the Ghana Evangelical Society

must recognize our responsibility. We must make God known to the nation and

raise men and women who can govern with divine wisdom.

The Light in Darkness

Jesus Christ is the light of the world. We must understand the cross and the

message. If the church is a royal priesthood, then we must show forth the

marvelous light. Reverend Mary’s prophecy revealed that darkness has covered

the world—Ghana, Africa, and beyond. Wars, human sacrifice, and spiritual

deception abound.

Politicians now seek power through human sacrifice, fetish priests, and false

prophets. They walk with candles, climb mountains, and perform rituals—all in

pursuit of power. And many so-called prophets who pray for them don’t even

know God.

Prayer has a divine agenda. It is not a tool for manipulation. The church must

not accept money from politicians who consult demons at night and then ask

pastors to pray for them. That is an abomination.

The Call to Arise

These political pastors, prophets, and church leaders have failed. That is why

God is calling the church to arise again. Sister Janet’s prophecy reaffirms the

church’s central role.

If God has given us this message—1 Peter 2:9—then we must take it seriously.

Read from verse 5 to 11 and you’ll see the full picture. God has something

wonderful for us.

Let us use this holy occasion to recommit ourselves. We are a royal priesthood.

We are the light in the darkness. Let us rise and fulfill our calling.

We must understand that we have a great responsibility. What we’ve seen today

is only the beginning—it’s the tip of the iceberg. Greater things are yet to come.

Let me repeat: greater things are yet to come. Praise the Lord!

As I shared last Sunday, I often look around and ask, “Where are the people?”

But the Lord told me not to worry. Even if I cannot find people, He has the

power and authority to fulfill whatever He has spoken. I am confident that the

Lord will bring it to pass.

Still, He emphasized the importance of the church. On Africa Day, during the

homecoming, we heard the prophetic concept of “one man, one church, one

nation.” That vision has now been confirmed. God has chosen this church—

where the altar, the court, and the throne reside—as the place from which His

voice will go out to the world. That means we carry a great responsibility.

I believe that in five to ten years, we will see politicians rise from this house—

from among our children. Praise the Lord! And to the youth: don’t be dull. The

older generation has had their time. Now it’s your turn.

The Lord reminded me recently that when we look at a child of five or ten

years, we often underestimate them. But give them ten years, and they will be

leaders. Take Rhoda, for example. She used to play in the garden, preferring

practical tasks over academic ones. But now she has a Facebook page and

addresses people publicly. Give her another five or ten years—she will be a

force.

Young people, God is looking to you. Don’t say, “I’m only ten” or “I’m only

fifteen.” Sister Janet, who prophesied today, joined GES at nineteen. She had a

strong foundation in Scripture Union and leadership in school. Clap for her!

She’s dynamic. Though she delayed in fulfilling some responsibilities, she’s

now rising. Pray for her to go even higher.

If you see her today, don’t think it’s out of reach. You can get there too. But the

foundation must be laid today—through studying Scripture, fasting, praying,

being filled with the Holy Spirit, living in holiness, being obedient, and

remaining steadfast. Ephesians 6 says, “Having done all, stand.” Be steadfast in

your determination to serve God.

If God has appointed this house as a royal priesthood and is sharing deep

revelations with us, then what will GES look like in five years? One of our

members was recently inducted as the General Superintendent of the

Assemblies of God for Greater Accra—the largest and wealthiest region in the

denomination. He calls me “Papa,” comes to my house, and shares his burdens.

We pray together.

At his induction, the Assemblies of God was proud to host the Chief Justice,

ministers, and even a seat reserved for the President. With so many politicians

in their church, where is their influence on the government? They have the

President and Chief Justice, yet they haven’t shaped the nation’s direction.

I spoke to Mr. Frimpong Manso, the General Superintendent, whom I’ve known

since Kumasi. The Lord told me not to worry about them—they’re doing a good

job. If they weren’t there, wickedness in Ghana would be far worse. They are

tempering justice with mercy. Even in their weakness, they play a vital role.

So if you have the grace of God upon you, praise the Lord. What is your role?

Take Sister Grace, for example. The Lord told us during prayer that He would

send her to the President’s office. By January 7th, she was working there. She

served throughout President Kufuor’s administration and now works in the

Chief Justice’s office. That is a noble position. Praise the Lord!

I told her she would go to the United Nations and carry the voice of God there.

But if she doesn’t hear God’s voice and fulfill her divine role, and instead

prioritizes allegiance to men or fears losing her position, she will miss her

opportunity. These are divine openings for her to make Jesus Christ known in

the highest places.

Now that she’s in the judiciary, I wonder what memo she has sent to the Chief

Justice. If I were in her position, I would kneel down, receive a word from the

Lord, and write a memo—not as a public relations director, but as a divine

messenger. Her presence there should bring divine direction.

If she says, “I’m just a worker, I can’t speak,” she will fail God. She is in a

position to write and speak truth. Not public relations intelligence, but Holy

Ghost direction. That’s why she’s there.

I’ve told others in this house: you’re journalists, professionals, and yet what we

do here doesn’t appear in the media. Why? Because we’re not prepared to be a

royal priesthood—to show forth the marvelous light.

You may be thinking about money, your company, or your future. You’re afraid

to speak out. But yesterday, I sat and laughed. Governments are the biggest

employers. The economy depends on them. If the government is inefficient, the

whole nation suffers.

The worst I’ve seen was the Mahama regime—inefficient, corrupt, and wicked.

It sank the nation. Why? Because we had wrong royalists—inefficient and

wicked leaders. But God needs a royal priesthood that knows Jesus Christ and

wants Him to reign.

So I challenge you today: give yourself to God. Study the Scriptures. Arm

yourself. Let the Holy Spirit fill and overflow in you. Do what He has called

you to do.

Your problem is that you’re thinking only of yourself—your food, your future,

your business. You’re afraid to offend. But when you begin to order your life

according to God’s will, everything changes.

If your life is not aligned with God’s will, you are no longer a true child of God.

You may say it with your mouth, but your actions speak otherwise. Your

spiritual equation is minus into minus—minus, minus, equal to minus. It will

never be plus. You may think you are growing in human terms, but before God,

you are naked, empty, and unproductive.

Today, I challenge you to embrace your calling as part of the royal priesthood.

Recently, my son John sent me a message asking, “Daddy, what’s the difference

between a ruler and a governor?” God is referred to as King, Lord, Ruler, and

Governor. So I explained: in Great Britain, the monarch—the king or queen—is

the ruler. But the day-to-day governance is handled by the prime minister.

Parliament debates and drafts laws, but the queen must give her assent for them

to become law. If she refuses, Parliament can override her decision, reflecting

the tension between monarchy and republicanism.

In contrast, in systems like Ghana or the United States, the head of state is also

the head of government. The president functions as both ruler and governor.

These roles, which are separate in monarchies, are merged in republican

constitutions.

Regardless of the system, both rulers and governors must operate in the

knowledge, fear, honor, and glory of God. Their authority is derived from

Jehovah. The queen knows her throne is established by God. Likewise, the

legislature, executive, and administrative officers must recognize that their

power comes from God. Even the constitution must reflect this divine

foundation.

From a kingdom perspective, God is the King, Ruler, Lawmaker, Governor, and

Judge. And those who manage the affairs of the nation must come from the

church. They must be taught by priests, apostles, prophets, evangelists, and

pastors. They must know the ways and will of God.

Today, when Janet spoke, she was echoing Isaiah 2 and Isaiah 62. The Lord’s

mountain shall be exalted above all others. When the nations see the glory and

righteousness of God, they will say, “Let us go to the house of the Lord. There,

He will show us the way, and we shall walk in it.”

In the house of the Lord is the law, the light, the knowledge, and the glory of

God. This combination produces a nation that is unique and blessed under God.

The marvelous light will shine through rulers and governors, royalists and

priests—all deriving their authority from Jehovah.

Ghana has been chosen. Now God is looking for people. Let this house be the

place where, in five to ten years, we raise ministers of state. In fifteen or twenty

years, one of our children may become president. Praise the Lord!

Are you ready to prepare yourself? It’s not cheap. It won’t come from leaked

exam questions or shortcuts. You must learn to be on your knees, seek God’s

direction, and let Him guide you.

If God has called you to be a priest or a minister of state, don’t choose the

world. Choose God. Choose Christ. Be a politician, professor, or lawyer who

knows God and can be an instrument of His will. Let God bless the nation

through you.

Whether you are a quantity surveyor, lawyer, public relations officer, teacher,

driver, waitress, carpenter, mason, or mechanic—don’t focus only on your

profession. Be a child of God first. Let Him direct your path. When you do, you

will shine.

I’m looking forward to seeing you shine. But beware of deception. Some

charismatic leaders will tell you, “I see one of you becoming president,” or

“Three of you will be millionaires.” Then they ask for seed offerings. They

make you feel good but don’t prepare you. They don’t teach truth,

righteousness, or how to wait on the Lord.

Today, honesty and hard work are missing in the church. It’s all about miracles,

breakthroughs, and success. These “successful” churches are raising corrupt

leaders—deputy ministers who claim to be Christians but are rogues. They are a

disgrace to the church, the nation, and manhood.

If a man goes through the educational system only to become corrupt and

wicked, he is a disgrace to humanity. And if a woman marries such a man, she

must also love corruption. A decent woman cannot walk with a rogue.

So be careful whom you choose as a spouse. Be mindful of your goals in life.

God bless you. Amen.

Take a few minutes to reflect on your life and your special position as part of

the royal priesthood. Where do you fit in? May the Lord give you vision and

revelation of Himself and your future.

The problem with many of us is self. We think only of ourselves—our children,

our business, our career. But all these are just platforms to show forth the

marvelous light of God.

Repent. Change your agenda. Let your life reflect the glory of God.
