THE GIFT OF GOD
SERMON INSIGHTS
The Declaration of Divine Peace and Cleansing
Central Spiritual Truth: God is releasing a divine outpouring to wash away national corruption and establish holy peace.
- A special, divine rainfall is declared to wash away the filth, dirt, and corruption currently residing in the land. This spiritual rain is intended to cleanse the wickedness inherited from past generations, including human sacrifices and evil deeds.
- The sins of current leaders and the damage they have inflicted upon the country will be washed away by this heavenly rain. This cleansing process is essential so that Ghana can truly be free from the spiritual weight of its past.
- The message brings a specific peace to every household, which is not a human peace but the sovereign peace of God. This peace must be carried to the entire nation and established through the power of prayer.
- Redemption for the country is acknowledged with thanksgiving and sealed through the manifestation of this symbolic rainfall.
- Scripture Reference: “Awake, awake; put on thy strength, O Zion. Put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city. For henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean. Shake thyself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem. Loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.” (Isaiah 52:1-2.)
The Revelation of the Son’s Fivefold Name
Central Spiritual Truth: Jesus Christ is the promised Savior whose names reveal His multifaceted power to save, counsel, and protect.
- Jesus is “Wonderful” because He is so attuned to the individual that He knows their needs even before they speak. He is a friend so constant that He appears the moment one ponders where help might come from.
- As “Counselor,” He offers wise and timely advice that encourages the heart and lifts heavy burdens during times of trouble. He sees what remains hidden to others and provides the faithful counsel necessary for a nation to prosper.
- He is the “Mighty God” who stands far above the various gods and ancestors previously worshipped by past generations. Even for those who only view Him as a prophet or the Son of God, the Father declares Him to be a Mighty God.
- Jesus is the “Everlasting Father” who serves as a permanent, spiritual parent even after earthly fathers have passed away. He is the husband to the widow and the ever-present companion who is found waiting even at the earliest hours of the dawn.
- As the “Prince of Peace,” He stands on behalf of the King of kings to settle the world and end the need for warfare.
- Scripture Reference: “Unto us a Son is given, and the government shall be upon His shoulder. His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)
The Necessity of Spiritual Purity and True Worship
Central Spiritual Truth: True worship requires a purified soul and submission to God’s standard of holiness rather than human tradition.
- Holiness is not defined by personal versions of morality or psychological understandings, but by the revelation of God Himself. One must not approach God thinking they know everything or offering money as if He actually needs it.
- Giving tithes and offerings is a spiritual tool used by God to work on the heart of the giver and provide a blessing.
- The heart and soul must be fully engaged in worship, as beautiful singing is useless if the spirit remains far from God.
- Modern trends in the church, such as dancing “Azonto” or singing romantic-toned songs to Jesus, are viewed as foolishness that lacks proper reverence.
- Sincere worship opens the gates of heaven, allowing the Spirit to flow through testimonies, prophecy, and the message in perfect alignment.
- Let Him give you the revelation of the knowledge of Him.”
The Role of the Church as the Nation’s Watchman
Central Spiritual Truth: The church is the highest institution and the agency through which God’s law and peace flow to the nation.
- The church is the dwelling place of God and the body of Christ; therefore, any nation with a church has God’s presence.
- A dangerous trend exists where leaders seek help from occultic powers and “soothsayers” rather than relying on the true God.
- The church has often drifted into sharing motivational talks and worldly management theories instead of preaching the pure Word of God.
- The nation’s judges should be supported by prayers for divine wisdom and righteousness rather than prayers for specific political candidates.
- Spiritual watchmen must protect the nation’s borders and government houses from being defiled by foreign gods and unholy sacrifices.
- Scripture Reference: “Many people shall go and say, ‘Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us His ways, and we will walk in His paths.’ For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.” (Isaiah 2:3)
Exhortations and Calls to Action
Central Spiritual Truth: Peace is established when individuals and nations choose to walk in the light of the Lord and trust in His simplicity.
- Pray for Peace: Urge every individual to stand and pray for their household, for Ghana, and for the entire world.
- Find a Spiritual Father: Those who lack a father should humble themselves and find a spiritual father to receive essential blessings.
- Reject False Prophets: Be wary of “Philistines” in the church who use demonic manifestations and jewelry to perform tricks for money.
- Trust the Cross: Abandon elaborate religious sacrifices and lean on the simplicity of faith, where the whole life is the sacrifice.
- Walk in the Light: Follow the “4-L” principle, Love, Life, Light, and Liberty to ensure the pillars of peace are established in the soul.
- Scripture Reference: “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that brings good tidings, that publishes peace, that brings good tidings of good, that publishes salvation, that says to Zion, ‘Thy God reigns.'” (Isaiah 52:7).
