THEME: THE DIVINE MANDATE FOR KINGDOM GOVERNANCE 

God the Creator is God, King, and Lord—the Supreme Power, Authority, Commander, and Controller over the universe. The sun, the moon, the stars, air, water, and light are under His control and ultimate bidding.  He has commanded, set up, established nature and creation as a whole by the power of His word and under His thumb.   

Man, nature and all things—seen and unseen in the heavenlies, skies on and under the earth —move and roll at His pleasure. Thus, governance and rule in the world is a heavenly ordained, enjoined, exhorted, and celebrated Act of Honor and Glory to God Jehovah, the Creator and to Jesus Christ, King of kings, Lord of lords, Ruler of the universe, seated by the right hand of the High Potentate on His Throne in heaven.  

In Christ and for Christ, men drawn, begotten, and adopted unto the Father and thus, created anew as Divine spirit-beings, granted access and full rights to the Graces and Glory of the Divine Nature as Children of God—with nature, standing, stature and glory above angels. 

The Christian, or believer in Christ, has been given the right of standing, duty, and responsibility as a Royal Priesthood—Priests and Kings for the building, establishment of the Kingdom of God on earth and God by Christ reign and rule of the earth. Jesus Christ is not only God of the universe—He is the King of kings and the Ruler of the kings of the earth.  

The Church is commissioned and given authority and power in Christ not only to reconcile, deliver, and redeem the world from the old order of the ruling spirit and power of sin and death resulting from Divine judgement against rebellion, disobedience, and the rejection of Him and His Reign and Rule on earth.  The Church has charge in and under Christ Jesus to serve the Father, the Creator in quelling and dismantling the old order and building, establishing, and maintaining the New Kingdom Reign and Rule on earth through Christ Messianic Redemption, Government, and Kingdom Reigning and Ruling Mission on earth.  The Son has come to order, raise a government to establish the heavenly Kingdom order—in short, the Father’s Kingdom and His Reign and Rule—and its glory on earth as it is the case in heaven.  

This is the ultimate end and goal of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which entails Salvation and Reconciliation, Deliverance and Healing, Redemption and Restoration, and the Building and Establishment of the Kingdom of God on earth (Isaiah 9:6-7; 61: 1-6, 11; Acts 20: 18; Matthew 6: 9-13, 33; Revelation 11: 15). 

The Gospel of Reconciliation and the Kingdom of God, accordingly, entails not only the raising, equipping, and sending out soldiers of the Cross to pull down the strongholds of “Satan-man” kingdom order—with its spiritual and social order of rebellion, disobedience, and rejection of God and His Christ in the world. 

It also entails the raising of a Royal Priesthood—Soldiers of the Cross armed and equipped in the knowledge, will, law, and commandments, light and way of God to contend, build, and establish heavenly Kingdom Order on earth. The Royal Priesthood of Christ stands for Christ’s reign and rule on earth (Revelation 1:6; 11:15; 17:14). 

Essentially, establishing the Kingdom of God— His Reign and Rule on earth, that is in society and nations—involves three key persons: The King, The Priest, and The Prophet.  All of these are of God and His Christ in a Christian system. They must be found, raised, and equipped in and by the church.   

We will confine our discussion here to the king. 

The King, as should be expected, must have Princes with whom to establish his kingdom and the governance thereof.  It is with this and through the princes that he will reign and rule and govern. It is the princes that will carry out the king’s orders and his laws, commandments, and pleasure in the governance, reign and rule under a monarchy.  

In a democratic republican or “people’s rule “system, the kingdom is upheld through four distinctive bodies. The Head of State, the Executive, the Legislature, and the Judiciary.  The public services—made up mainly of the administration, police, and military, commissions and others which primary owe allegiance and are accountable to the State, personified as it were by the Head of State.  

It is here that the Christian called unto aspiring to be politician must seek and obtain Christ election, choosing, and accreditation and the church discipling, equipping, anointing, and sending forth. No one goes to battle for Christ, no one mounts the Christ Ruling and War Horse, until called, equipped, anointed, and sent out. 

It would seem in this respect that Christians entering into or desiring to enter into politics in this country at least do not seek the face of God for confirmation of Divine election, equipping, and anointing and follow up Holy Spirit unction for the holy task in politics and governance in the knowledge and fear of God for Christ government and heaven Kingdom Order and its Glory in the nation. 

There are many reasons for this. Basically, the Church as a whole has abandoned the Gospel of the Kingdom of God and its ordering, its building, and establishment in the nations of the world.  Traditionally therefore, many Christians denounce politics and affairs of governance of nations much less governance in the knowledge and will of God by the law and commandments, light, and way of God, the reign and rule of Christ in the affairs of nations. 

The second important element of Christian aversion to politics and governance is not alone corrupt, evil, and wicked practices common in the politics of unbelievers and the satanic controlled prone with sinful, unrighteous, unjust, and wicked way. There have arisen the anti-Christ in the Church and politics and government who reject Christ and His Messianic redemption, government and Kingdom mission and would do all to reject and resist Christ Kingdom order and His reign and rule in Church, nation and world.  Such Christians hooked onto the Satan-anti-Christ bandwagon, do prefer and join hands with all kinds of spiritual, religion, social order, philosophical, and ideological and political agenda which deny, denounce, and reject Christ and His Messianic government and Kingdom order.  

They may shout, praise the Lord, Hallelujah in churches, seek priestly and pastoral care and prayers and so called prophetic anointing, breakthroughs, and all in typical anti-Christ fashion, join and fight ‘enemies’ and diverse political party platform with diverse philosophical, ideological, and practical social agenda yet claim that they are Christians and God is with them.  Good, righteous, and godly Christians cannot join hands with such tractors of Christ, and betrayal of the Truth, and the Faith as a whole.  

To be sure, Christians are of a high premium in the politics and governance of the nation.  The Christ Government and Kingdom Order is both a Spiritual and Social Order with politico-economic and social-cultural directions that require to be diligently and faithfully pursued, built, and established in the knowledge of God to the praise and glory of God in our society and Africa. Political correctness, which is haunting Europe and America, is the work of Satan, the evil minded and wicked who reject the peace, godliness, righteousness, justice, truth, light, and freedom and liberty of Christ and His heavenly government and Kingdom order on earth.
