CHURCH MUST LISTEN – A REJOINDER

Series:

THEME: CHURCH MUST LISTEN – A REJOINDER

Thanks be to God that the worship of God is receiving attention in the press. What a blessed sign of revival and repentance from England! It marks repentance from the rejection of God and His Christ, and the knowledge of Him in life and in politics, business, governance, and national affairs as a whole.

With all due respect, Bishop of Gledhill has missed the point, and Brother Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafoh needs discipling in the faith and the knowledge of God. The truth is that worship in the presence of and fellowship with God and the brethren is the height—not so much of spirituality as of church life, as of joy, spiritual rest, growth, and perfection unto eternal life and glory in the divine nature.

“You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” (Psalm 16:11NKJV)

Joy in the Presence of God is not for the worshipper alone; it is also Joy for the One being worshipped—Jehovah God Himself.  How do we count and measure Joy in the Lord, for, and with the Lord God Jehovah! What is more valuable, precious, and full filling for the Human Soul than the worship and joy with the Triune God. What shall the worshipper exchange for this!

“My God how wonderful thou art. Thy majesty how bright! How beautiful Thy mercy seat. In depths of burning light. Father of Jesus loves and rewards. What rapture will it be, prostrate before Thy throne to lie and gaze and gaze on thee.”

Man has six full days for work and pursues the human agenda in knowledge, trust, and hope in God but find it difficult to spend half a day or even full day in worship and presence of God, to give Jehovah God the pleasure and joy of fellowship with the household/family of God. They haven’t found it yet the fullness of joy in worship and fellowship with God  those who cry foul about church fellowship in worship, joy, and love of God.

We have problems with worship designed for entertainment and merry-making, emotional travel, human ego and vain glory, motivational talks and music, money worship and worldly gain chatter but not true preaching, teaching and worship.

The church must seek to know God, listen, and hear from the Holy Spirit and worship God in Spirit and in truth so we can access the Fullness of Joy in the worship and presence of God. The youth as well as the learned and prosperous shall eat, worship, and bow to God. (Psalm 29: 1-2; 22: 25-29; 16: 11; Exodus 12: 13-14).
