THEME: THE DIVINE ELECTION OF THE NEW GHANA: FROM COLONIAL EMANCIPATION TO KINGDOM GLORY 

O people of Ghana, how great is our God! Let us worship, adore, and give Jehovah God the Creator the praise, worship, honor, and glory due Him. It is He who has made us and given us all the beauties and treasures, power, joy, hope, and glory that we possess as a people and a nation. We are indeed the people of His pasture. Amen! 

In saying this, it is worthy to note that it is Jehovah God the Creator—acting by His Son, Jesus Christ, with His Church and angelic hosts—who has delivered, redeemed, restored, and established Ghana on the path of Glory as a chosen nation and people, redeemed, married, and made holy unto God.  (Isaiah 62: 1-12; Psalm 33: 12; Isaiah 19: 1-25; Acts 26: 18). 

God has delivered Ghana from the strongholds of Satan and wicked men. He has redeemed, married, and established her as Beulah Land for His Government and Kingdom Glory in Africa, and the world. Ghana now stands as the nation and people of God. She has been given a new name: The New Jerusalem. Ghana, a city of God—a nation and people redeemed, restored, to glory and established in God’s government and kingdom order on earth (Isaiah 9:6-7; Psalm 48: 1-3).  Ghana has been reconciled, established in God’s salvation, and has become God’s Dwelling Place and Throne for His reign and rule on earth. (2nd Corinthians 5: 18-19; Isaiah 12: 1-6; Revelation 21: 1-5). 

This is the New Thing of God, in Africa and the world. This is the destined glory of divine election, goodness, and works in the gentile world (Isaiah 42: 1-12). Ghana—a model nation and people of God in the world, “Star of Africa” is the story. The Divine redemption vision and mission have been accomplished. Amen and Amen! 

It is sad, therefore, that according to the Lord Jehovah, there are groups of people—within the church and the country, in religion, business, and the professions, in academia, politics, government, and rulership in the land who are standing and working against the divine path of glory destined for the country for His praise and glory in Africa and the world. The works of the enemies of God and country have provoked the jealousy and, consequently, the wrath, vengeance, and judgement of God upon the nation. The Lord has risen to defend His name, His vision, redemption, and kingdom in the country. He is determined to protect His order, majestic works and plans to establish Ghana as a great, blessed, and glorious nation of His Kingdom Glory and Star of Africa. Yea, God is jealous over Ghana, His chosen nation and people.   

Now, once upon a time as is well known, nations like Israel, England, and Germany—as well as many countries in Europe and the United States of America rose and shone in the love, light, way, and beauty, presence, and joy in the mercy and goodness, providence, protection, and blessedness of the Triune God, Creator of heaven and earth.  The Divine visitation came over Africa alongside Europe, but Africa rejected the initial blessings. God redeemed and led Europe in diverse ways to break forth into singing, joy, hope, and glory. 

Israel, Europe, and America tasted the goodness of the Creator and enjoyed the special favors and joys in the worship and service, truth, light, liberty, and presence of God in the midst of men. Today, the story is different. They have on the whole lost the blessedness, privileges, and joys of a people sanctified and made holy unto God.    

To be sure, the worship of God is still going on in Israel, and a few citizens are standing for God and the Judeo-Christian heritage in Europe and America. Indeed, there are people standing and wailing for righteousness and godly conduct in the world. Nevertheless, it is true to say that the ideas, philosophies, theories, wisdom, and counsel of men and spirits have been given precedence and gained observance and honor above the Word, Truth, Light, Knowledge, Way and Honour of God in Europe and America. This has infested the world to the extent that civilization, progress, and prosperity are now deemed synonymous with the rejection of God and His Christ, and the Christian Faith. America the latest in Divine election and mercy has turned away from “IN GOD WE TRUST” to belief, trust, and hope in economic power and military might. (Isaiah 2: 5-9; Psalm 33: 1-18). 

Idolatry, Eastern religions, science, technology, the worship of Satan and man, creatures, and works of men have become the guiding light, spirit, power of conduct, and life in many countries. The most significant of all in this direction is that Israel, Europe, and America have together rejected Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, Messiah, Saviour, Redeemer, Restorer, Rebuilder, and Judge, King of kings, and Lord of lords.  This has created a state of global darkness.  

Thanks be to God, the light together with the mercies, goodness, and counsel of the Almighty God have now fallen upon Africa for the restoration of his worship and service, truth and light, government and kingdom order and its glory in the nations on earth. The Most High God has remembered that it is Africa (Egypt) that served as hiding place and abode —Joseph/Israel for Jesus Christ the Son given when Satan, Israel, and men rose against Him Jehovah and wanted to kill the Messiah born in Bethlehem. God is on the move to do a ‘New Thing’ in the Gentile nations and in the world as a whole. Africa is on Divine Hot Line. Hallelujah! 

It is here that the Gold Coast (now Ghana) did find favor in the sight of God. The Most High chose the Gold Coast for His works of emancipation and reconciliation, deliverance, redemption, and restoration of glory through His Government and Kingdom Order and its glory in Africa and the nations. 

It is this election that paved the way for the Gold Coast to become the leading nation in the colonial emancipation movement in Africa. It is true to say in this regard that the colonial emancipation movement in the Gold Coast started long before Danquah and Nkrumah came on the scene.  History tells us that clearly. Neither Paa Grant-Danquah-UGCC nor Nkrumah-Gbedemah-Botsio-CPP was the birthplace of the divine election and favor upon the Gold Coast. Therefore, neither had right therefore to alter, divert, and transfer the Divine election of the country to any power and authority, governance system, and kingdom order other than that of the I AM that I AM God for His Glory in the land. It is absolutely clear that neither can we claim ownership and glory for the divine election and emancipation of the Gold Coast.  

In that respect, the change of name from ‘Gold Coast’ to ‘Ghana’ does not change the Divine plan for the country nor can it authorize the return to the old idolatrous order of fallen Ghana Empire and with it the rejection of God and departure from the truth and righteousness, freedom and liberty and the reality of Divine election and plans for God’s government and kingdom, His reign and rule, dwelling place and throne in the country.  The peace, righteousness and glory of God in Africa and the nation of the world is the goal. It will be improper indeed, an abomination in this connection to retain the old idolatrous satanic order for emancipated Gold Coast.
