GREAT IS THE MYSTERY OF GODLINESS

Series:

THEME: THE UNCHANGEABLE TRUTH OF THE CROSS AND THE GLORY OF SONSHIP

“And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.” (1st Timothy 3: 16 KJV)

He who was manifested in human body, vindicated in the spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed—and is being proclaimed among the nations, is believed in throughout the world, and glorified in heaven—is Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God. It is He who gave His life and shed His blood on the Cross for the atonement and remission of sin, reconciling the world to God.

He shed His Blood and sent forth His Word for the remission of sin, for the salvation, deliverance, healing, redemption, and restoration of peoples, nations, and the world in peace, goodwill, life, victory, joy, and glory. He died but rose from the dead in victory, power, and majestic glory over sin, death, and Satan. Thereafter, He released His sinless, immortal, all-conquering, incorruptible, victorious, and glorious Spirit for fresh recreation of man and for the renewal and restoration of lost virtues and glory to man and the rest of creation. “He whom the Son shall made free shall be free indeed.” (John 8: 36) Again, he who breathes in the resurrection spirit of Christ shall be quickened in his mortal body and yea shall never die. (Rom. 8: 11; John 11: 25-26).

This is the truth about Jesus Christ—God who turned into man to abide with man so He will deliver, redeem, and restore power and glory to man. This is not and should not be a subject of controversy. All who believe and have received the Spirit of Christ into their being can testify to the joy of salvation, the life, and hope in the restoration of glory and the power and authority inherent in the Spirit, Name, Blood, and Word of Jesus Christ. We know and can testify of the spiritual journey of power, authority, and glory in sonship through Jesus Christ. Above all, the truth about the story of the Cross and Resurrection of Christ stands sure and solid, unchangeable, and unassailable ever and always efficacious.

According to the Most High God, men shall try to present the story of the cross in their own way, but the truth of the matter is that it does not change. It does not change the truth about the Cross in any way. Further, declares the Lord:

“The Cross opens doors unto men” so they will have access to the Father. It has been the same and it will not change. The stripes on the cross have been the same. It will not change. “When I was on the Cross, the Father was with Me. Therefore, if the Father does not change, then the story on the cross will also not change. Yes, I pleased the Father in all things. I pleased the Father because I was sent by the Father—and the Father too was pleased with Me, because He sent Me and I did that which He sent Me to do.

Therefore, if the Father has not changed and does not change then I also have not changed and do not change. I am the same. I am the same as yesterday; I am the same today. I am the same forever. If anyone says that there is no cross, then he is saying that there is no God. Then he becomes a fool. But he is wise who believes that I, God the Father came down in the form of man and went on the cross and died for man. This is a wise saying, and if you continue to believe in that, you shall be among the numbers when I shall appear. Therefore, prepare ye yourselves, any moment of time, so when I appear you shall not be found wanting, but you shall be caught with Me, that together we shall live with the Father. Then, you shall know that of a truth, nothing has changed. All things are the same. I am the Lord of Hosts.

It may seem foolish or even unwise to those who do not even know Me. Indeed, the story of the cross is foolishness to those who do not even know Me. But to those who know Me—who know Me as God, King, Lord, and Father— they believe the story of the Cross. To them, the story of the cross stands supreme and unique.

I am Holy, I am King, and I am God. Yet, because of the love that I—the Son, the Father, and the Spirit—have for humanity, I allowed Myself to come into this sinful world. I took upon Myself the likeness of sin and walked as a sinner even though I am not a sinner. This reveals to you that I am both God and Love. I endow those who believe in Me with My own Spirit of love.”

The celebration of Easter is the set time for remembrance, world-wide acknowledgement, and honoring of God, His love and sacrificial works for the remission of sin, the reconciliation, healing, redemption, and restoration of sinful mortal man. Through the cross, the doors of access to God, His Divine nature and its glory flung open. The glory of redeemed man is in eternal life, peace, power, and authority in sonship with its attendant victory over sin, death, Satan, human mortality, corruptibility, and futility in human self-redemption and hope of escape from the captive life. This is the open door of salvation, redemption, victory, joy, and rise in glory found within the Easter story of the Cross and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The redeemed are complete in Christ Jesus. All the laws regarding righteousness, justification, perfection, and glorification are fulfilled by faith in Him. Through this faith, we lay hold of the truth of the story of the cross, the resurrection, as well as the redemption, perfection, and glorification in the New Birth in His Spirit and Name.

Faith in Jesus Christ is the key to unlock, understand, and be established in the mystery of godliness. Faith in Jesus Christ is also the open door and key to heaven and the Kingdom of God. Faith comes by hearing, believing, accepting, and receiving the truth and the Spirit of Jesus Christ, entwined with and established in the Word of God.

This is the mystery about Jesus Christ: God, who created all things by Christ, transformed Himself into man so to bring salvation, redemption, and restoration—opening the heavenly door of Divine nature in Christ and fellowship unto man. Truly, God was and is in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself (2nd Cor. 5: 18-19).
