PEACE AND PROSPERITY UNTO GHANA
THEME: DIVINE PROMISES REQUIRE REJECTING IDOLATRY AND POLITICAL CHAOS
We give thanks and praise to God for His Mercy, Faithfulness, Blessed Assurance and Hope for Ghana. Like redeemed Israel, Ghana has reached the Promised Land of a Nation and People Holy unto God, Star of Africa.
The Jubilee Year has so far been and will end as a landmark year when Ghana having crossed the Jordan will enter into the peace, prosperity and glory as God’s Chosen Nation and People for His Praise and Kingdom Glory in Africa and the world.
In this regard, it would seem unfortunate developments such as the energy crisis, the spate of wickedness, mounting violence and misconduct of strange nature in the country. People are beginning to wonder whether the promises of Liberty, Peace and Prosperity for chosen Ghana, Star of Africa is a farce, whether the sin culture and wicked and evil ways of men will overtake the righteousness, goodness and promises of God, whether the country will revert to the dark days of frozen liberty, standing threats to life, property and security, and whether the state of war in political, ideological, ethnic and religious conflicts rampant in Africa and wicked governance will overtake and consume nation and people. In other words, is Satan regaining hold on otherwise peaceful, delivered and redeemed Ghana?
The answer of course is a big, big no! Ghana will no more return to the dark days of the political economy of darkness, death and war, dictatorship, bankrupt philosophy and deaden revolution. Ghana is free and free for ever in the Arms of Jehovah God who has established His Throne of Glory in the land. Jesus Christ the Saviour, Redeemer and Hope of Glory will not handover the country and her affairs to Satan. Christ is the King of Glory of Ghana. The Tabernacle of God is in Ghana. Hallelujah.
In this connection, it is necessary to point out that the Kingdom of God and His Christ is a Kingdom of Peace, Righteousness and Joy in the Worship, Obedience, Knowledge and Presence of God. That the Government of Christ with a sceptre of righteousness is established with judgement and with justice.
Accordingly, peace and prosperity in the Promised Land would demand the uprooting of the Canaanites, their gods, bastions and glory. The erstwhile satanic, idolatrous, blood and wicked systems and damnable and destructive culture and practices of old must give way. God has and shows no mercy to the gods, the idolatrous and wicked works of men.
Israel was not allowed to enter the Promised Land with the gods, culture and practices of Egypt. Moses himself had to be removed from the scene, so Israel did not build a shrine and fortress for the worship and remembrance of Moses. God does not share His glory with anyone. God was the Redeemer of Israel not Moses. Moses the prophet-king was not God.
Let Ghana know accordingly that however much we cherish and honour Danquah and Kwame Nkrumah or Rawlings and Kufuor for that matter, none of them is and can be The God and Eternal King of Ghana. They all played their parts in the Divine scheme of things to bring honor and glory to Ghana. No Ghanaian should make the mistake of building altars, shrines and temples for the worship of Nkrumah or anybody. The Nkrumah Mausoleum is not and should not therefore be a place for invoking the spirit and worship of Nkrumah. No gods, ancestors and powers delivered the nation from captivity.
The current waves of violence, wickedness and blood should be viewed as an opportunity for the people of Ghana “to resolve never again” to return to the dark days of captivity. The upsurge of efforts for the resurrection and re-instatement of the political economy of darkness, death and war, of militarism, violence and dictatorship cannot prosper. God will not let it.
Let us rise up as one people against the eruption of wickedness and wicked ways, of violence and the drug, alcohol and sex menace, unbridled immorality, indiscipline and shit-bombs. Governments and political parties should always put in remembrance the dark days of military coups, political chaos, economic frustration and social malaise, the famine, political and economic exiles, fuel crises and necklace of ringworms and shepherd the political institutions and economic management with diligence, dignity and honor. Ghana must put paid to and seal once and for all the total eclipse of the political economy of darkness, death and war, the regime of blood, insecurity and dictatorship buttressed by gun and satanic power. Those who died in the process whether as perpetrators of evil and oppressors or victims and defenders of the nation must not die in vain.
We must view the promoters and perpetrators of satanic power and human beastly conduct against peace, sound conduct and decorum and the progress of the country as enemies to both God and country, and indeed Africa. They do not want Ghana to progress as Star of Africa. The days of coups, corruption, institutionalized fraud, embezzlement and robbery of treasury and national wealth and resources must be seen to be over. The greedy politicians and businessmen and women, corrupt corporate entities and multinationals, public servants and company executives and their professional aids of wicked pretensions must give way to peace and progress.
We must cherish and support efforts at raising public conscience, legislation and regulatory measures to nurture, instill and strengthen the spirit and culture of law and order, moral probity and accountability, social sanction and good governance in the land. The goal is to establish country and people in Peace, Righteousness, Justice and Joy in the Knowledge of God.
The Church must be bold and courageous with prophetic political engagement. The Press can help with courageous, truthful and honest research reporting. The Media and civil leaders must stand against the dishonest and disloyal practices and destructive works of the enemies of God, nation and people. It goes without saying that the Church, religious organizations and the media and the entire citizenry need to be well-grounded in Faith and Knowledge of God, truth and sound moral code and God-glorifying social ethics in nation building.
It is here that Church Mission must be viewed from the two distinctive angles of, of church building and kingdom building. The Kingdom Building Mission involves a new Spiritual and Social Order and thus godly social reconstruction.
We would discuss this in another article. Meanwhile, suffice to say here that building a compact Ghana of Peace, Righteousness and Prosperity in the Knowledge of God demands Faith, Prayer to God for revelation, direction, wisdom and enduement of power by all citizens and functionaries, particularly church, government and press.
May we seize this opportunity to humbly appeal to the Rawlingses to honor their Revolutionary Holy War Pledge, of Probity and Accountability and Discipline and assist the courts to establish their innocence, honest and clean endeavours and revolutionary record. Crying foul of the law courts and claims of harassment will not help their cause.
We are confident that since God has brought Ghana this far, He will not abandon the country to the idolatrous and wicked, greedy and corrupt, to blasphemy and abomination. He has heard and will continue to hear the prayers of His people.
Redeemed Ghana will grow and flourish in Righteousness and Justice, Peace and Prosperity as Nation and People of God. Glory be to God in the Highest.
God Bless Ghana.
