G. THE NATURE OF WARFARE – BATTLEFIELD IN HEAVENLIES/ON EARTH

  • Essentially, a spiritual proposition; our weapons, therefore, are not carnal.
  • The warfare is not connected with guns, knives, stones, or sticks.
  • Spiritual weapons: The primary weapon is the word of God—the Spirit of God released through the operation of the human tongue.
  • Essentially prayer: The strategy is essentially prayer, executed through restraining, casting out, declarations, binding and loosing, and establishing decrees by the mouth.

The union of angels and man in battle, ordered, supervised, and controlled by Jehovah-Christ through Holy Spirit.

CONCLUSION

To function in this Army, the believer must:

  • Seek to know God, understand, trust, and obey through fasting and prayer (Ephesians 6; Jude 20).
  • Build faith in God, His word, knowledge, mind—adhering to His laws, commandments, precepts, instructions, and directions
  • Learn to trust, lean, and depend on entirely on God, walking and working with the Holy Spirit.
  • Die to self; learn and establish yourself in humility, meekness, obedience, and total submission and dependence on God. Eschew pride, arrogance, and selfish gratification or self-glorification.
  • Make self-available to God. Prove yourself in holiness, righteousness, and faithfulness.  Promotion comes by obedience, humility, and faithfulness.
  • There are challenges, threats, and even death.  The key to endurance is righteousness—walking consistently in the will, commandments, and knowledge of God
  • Ye shall receive power—even those that wait upon the Lord.
