THE KEY TO JOY LAND AND GLORY IN GOD. AMEN!
THEME: THE APOSTOLIC FOUNDATION AND THE MIND OF CHRIST: A CALL TO INTEGRITY IN CHURCH AND STATE
Yesterday, I watched a service of the Apostolic Church of Ghana on GTV. It was a service of Induction of the three new top Executive Officers of the church. It was a glorious service of joy and hope for the Church in Ghana. I felt good that I was introduced to the Apostolic Faith of the Church through the prayer group of Rev. John. K. Boadi’s, which later on got merged with the Apostolic Church of Ghana—though I was a Presbyterian who cherished evangelical convictions. Thanks to the Father, He got me introduced into the Apostolic Foundation, particularly the mission and missionary of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the central factor of eternal significance—THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN ON EARTH through Christ mission, described also in the scriptures as The Kingdom of God and His Christ, reign and rule. Christ is the King of Glory and Spirit-power of glory in the Kingdom of God on earth till, He hands all things back to the Father. At that time, the Father shall descend on earth, and the Kingdom of the earth shall be fully and wholly taken over, transformed, and integrated into the Kingdoms of God (Isaiah 9: 6-7; Ephesian 1:10; 1st Corinthians 15: 24-28; Revelation 11:15).
It is sufficient to say that I was introduced into the depths and fullness of Christ’s messianic mission when the Lord Jesus Christ and the Father opened the door of glory in the Kingdom of Heaven mission on earth—of Christ real passion for the Father’s will to end ‘Satan-man’ rebellion, disobedience, and rejection of God, the dominion, reign and rule on earth as God. Satan and his hosts—of spirits, fallen angels, demons, and men—have conspired and constituted themselves into God and gods, kings, lords, and rulers with dominions and kingdoms on earth in defiance of the Creator (Psalm 2). The Lord Jesus Christ led me and the Ghana Evangelical Society into the depths of the Father’s passion for the redemption, gathering, and turning over all creation and the Kingdoms of Satan and man back unto Him.
This is the prime mission objective of God, turning Himself into a human being in Jesus Christ to defeat the devils and take-over His creation, reign, and rule as God and King on earth. Yes, the end of it all is that THERE SHALL BE ONE GOD IN HEAVEN and ON EARTH. The Father has called out and ordain people to constitute an Army of the Cross for the Reconciliation, Redemption—for the proclamation of the Gospel and establishment of the Kingdom of heaven on earth so God the Father and Creator will reconcile, redeem, and restore His Kingdom, reign, and rule on earth. For this cause, Christ set His spirit, heart, mind, hands, and feet as a flint to travel the entire journey—spiritual, socio-cultural, and physical—to proclaim the Gospel of the Kingdom. Christ Jesus was fully consumed with the spirit, love, passion, and zeal of the Father. He was consumed with Consistency, Humility, and Love. Nothing changed His heart, spirit, mind, and zeal for the Father’s mission.
The attractions and lures of earthly joys and glory, the challenges of temptations and trials of Satan, men, and the praise of men and spirits and joys of worldly glory all could not get Christ to Change His Mind, Heart, and Spirit. There was no room in Christ’s heart, mind, and spirit for the promises, joys, grandeur, and glory of the ‘Satan-man’ world and kingdom order. Above all, the pain of taking over and standing in sin for man, exposing Himself to the laws of sin and death—even dying on the cross at that—did not dampen His love for the Father nor influence, nor deter Him from His mission to fight sin, Satan, and death. He fought to take over the kingdoms of the world and transfer them to the Father. Yes, Jesus Christ fought to the end. He never used His nature, power, position of maturity, wisdom, and knowledge.
Beloved, this is what the Lord told me yesterday: many men of the Church have no such mind of consistency, humility, and love that was in with Jesus Christ. Though men are filled with the Holy Spirit, grounded in the scripture, and have grown into glory, they do not learn from the Triune God and the Master Jesus Christ the Son. We confess Christ. We make pledges. We pray for Divine grace, power, position, and the trust of the sheep of God. Soon, in spirt of verbal declarations and beautiful and sound pledges of holy, righteous, and faithful conduct, men turn the graces of office into personal advantage, pleasure, and glory. We (man)—the most ungrateful being of all creation, says the Lord, soon turns against God, and his pledges and all to pursue his/her pleasure and glory agenda.
In today’s Church, holiness, righteousness, and faithfulness to God and His Kingdom on earth has been turned unto self-pursuit and human earthly and worldly glory. Personal satisfaction, pleasure, and glory have been dignified and exalted in the name of success, power, position, money, and fame. This is neither of the church of God nor of the Spirit and nature of Christ, or of the Holy Spirit, scripture, and the word of God as a whole. Consistency, Humility, and Love are missing in churches, surely among ministers and laity in many pulpits and in many churches. Similarly, politicians and public offices make pledges to God, nations, and people only to flout them in open corruption, robbery, and the abuse of office in the pursuit of personal, group, and political party interests and earthly and worldly agenda.
May we seize this opportunity to remind Pastors and Saints set on building their own houses, lives, comfort, and pleasure, neglecting God and the church (Haggai 1:1-12; John 21: 15-17).
May God help us to find, hold, and treasure the mission ingredient: Consistency, Humility and Love of God, Christ and the Kingdom of God and His Christ and its glory on earth.
