THE SORROWS OF MAN AND NATIONS
THEME: FROWARDNESS BRINGS NATIONAL SORROW; OBEDIENCE SECURES DIVINE PEACE
The sorrows of man and nations, the destruction and desolation that befall peoples and nations are the story of the frowardness of man. But the mercies of God and abundance attend to the humble and the poor in spirit who build their lives on trust, obedience and knowledge of God.
Let the politicians, chiefs and religious leaders and entire citizenry of Ghana know this. For this has been the human story throughout the ages.
The peoples and nations that reject God, that worship the spirits that dwell in the seas, rivers, lagoons and lakes, the forests, rocks and mountains, and those that worship angels and men and the works of the hands of men and spirits know not peace nor lasting happiness. They have no lasting and permanent beneficent systems nor noble leaders of long life who can inspire and lead them unto great, noble and lasting ventures.
Indeed, they kill the prophets, luminaries and the nobles who bring light and truth, peace and good works. They heap unto themselves leaders that are criminals, perverse and wicked. Life becomes short, brutish and disdainful for such people.
Thus, in the absence of the guiding Spirit and the preserving and protecting Hands of the Living God, the nations perish. Empires fall, kingdoms collapse and human enterprises turn round and round in circles as if fate and destiny, progress and decay, prosperity and poverty are intertwined in everlasting non-changing network like as night follows day and day night.
Jesus said of such peoples and nations of darkness, they comprehend not and reject the light and life of God because their deeds are evil (John 3:17-21).
From the Garden of Eden, man has not only sought to be God unto himself. He has also sought to establish a union with Satan, and thus spirits of all kinds in the pursuit and performance of his froward agenda of self-determination, self-development, self-improvement, self-projection, self-gratification and self-glorification. The Creator’s response to man’s hidden and forward agenda is death, corruption, decay and futility.
Psalm 90 describes the Creator’s response to the human enchantment and engagement with death and futility in these words:
“LORD, You have been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever You had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God. You turn man to destruction; and say, Return, O children of men.
You carry them away like a flood; they are like a sleep: In the morning they are like grass which grows up; In the morning it flourishes and grows up; In the evening it is cut down, and withers. For we have been consumed by Your anger, and by Your wrath we are terrified. You have set our iniquities before You, our secret sins in the light of Your countenance. For all our days have passed away in Your wrath; We finish our years like a sigh.”
(Psalm 90:1-3, 5-9)
Corruptibility, mortality and futility are the reality of rebellious and disobedient fallen man. Peoples and nations that worship the gods, that relish religion of human and Satan devices, that believe and declare the satanic lie and deception that all religions including atheism and pantheism, the occult, mystic philosophies, blood sacrifices and all devices of worship are of the Almighty God, fall into this category and under the Mighty Hand of God.
Is it not written in the book that even Israel went into captivity when they embraced, practiced and turned the worship of the creator to the gods and idols of the nations? How can there be unity and common hope of peace and reward from the God of Israel the Creator, ‘Nyankopon’ if Israel worshipped the gods of Egypt and Mesopotamia, and those of the soothsayers of the East. Why would the Creator go averse if the gods of the nations are all of Him and His bidding? Why does the LORD warn of false prophets and idolatry?
Dear reader, I have heard God speak to me through the mouths of the mentally disturbed, birds and strangers. But no such folks or spirits can make me create gods of them nor make me worship idols and observe days, times and season other than those decreed and ordered by the Creator in the Great and Holy Book and affirmed by the Holy Spirit. There is no truth and light nor life anywhere else, not even with angels and those in graves however saintly their lives on earth might have been. The dead are dead!
Man is his own enemy. Satan has come to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). Yet froward man who seeks power, riches, wealth and fame, health, strength, and unfair favors, man who wants to present himself as somebody, who wants to obtain following, pearls and treasures is prepared to worship and pay obeisance to any idea, theory, man, spirit and power, god, goddess, deity or personality. There is no GOD but the Creator, the Father of Jesus Christ. There is no master nor mediator but Christ.
People often reject God and Christ, the Divine Spirit of creation, life and light in the bid to satisfy their ambitions and worldly expectations. They obtain futile promises of the gods, demons, the wicked and ambitions with serpentine tongues and daggers in clothes. There is a way that seems right to man, but the end is death. We present this article to the hearts, conscience and minds of Ghanaians, particularly our leaders in Church and Government, Academia and Business so we all take proper account of the place and honor of the creator in the nation we are building, the systems and structures we set in place and the destiny of the nation we have in mind in so doing.
We do this because we know and have declared this consistently and on several occasions since the 1970’s that Ghana is a chosen nation. That Jehovah God is the redeemer and builder and God of Ghana. That Christ is the Savior, Redeemer and Victorious King who will and has since reconciled, liberated, redeemed and restored the nation to her standing, Ghana the land of peace, Beulah Land and blessedness in the inheritance and glory of God Kingdom Order on earth this End-Time. Ghana, Star of Africa is the work of the hand of Christ Jesus.
In this connection, we warn the politicians, chiefs and religious leaders, parents and teachers, and ministers of the church that to lead the nation into the worship and honour of gods and unexamined beliefs and traditions of our fathers and the nations of the world is abomination to the creator and redeemer. it is indeed denial of God and betrayal of the nation and people, the disingenuous planting of other faiths and practices in the blind and non-fruitful pursuit and honor of peace. Where there is no peace with God, there can be no true and lasting peace, progress and prosperity in the land. We will by that not merely turn back to the vicious cycle of repetitive progress, failure and decay in the history of nations. We will also invoke the wrath and judgement of God back upon our God-redeemed country.
The Good News in this respect is that the Almighty God will not return Ghana to neither the gods of the fathers nor those of the nations. Ghana is fully well secured in the arms of the LORD God Most High. The machines and machinations of idolaters, blood drinking, blood sprinkling spirits and powers cannot stand the mighty Hand and Fire of God. Military and economic agreements and covenants with foreign powers and business who would not respect and honor the God of Ghana, Christ Jesus the LORD will never prevail (Psalm 33:10-22).
Blessed is Ghana. Blessed will remain Ghana. Our soul waiteth on the LORD our Redeemer, Salvation, Defense and Hope who has made His abode in the land (Isaiah 12).
The Sorrows of Man and Nations that befell our fathers and led to the fall of the kingdoms and the Ghana Empire of old will no more be the lot of this generation and those yet unborn. Ghana is free!
Ghana will know, worship and honor the only one God, father of Jesus Christ the Saviour, Redeemer and Hope of Ghana. Let people worship whom they may. But Ghana as nation has and will have only one God and one mediator Christ Jesus, God, Lord and King, Savior of the world. Amen and Amen!!
