THEME:  AFRICA ARISEN TO GLORY 

At the bidding of the LORD GOD of Hosts, we arranged a special 3-Day Public Lecture (October 3-5, 2001) dubbed The Africa Redemption Song Lecture to call Africa to a divine plan for the redemption and restoration of glory to Africa. 

The lecture attempted to address the root cause of the fall from glory of Africa the Continent of beginnings and cradle of civilization, The Way Out, The Way Forward; God the Creator’s Way. 

The lecture was organized under the aegis of the Ghana Evangelical Society (GES) which virtually bore the full cost of the lecture.  Buck Press, a leading and dynamic printing press among the many banks and companies approached made contribution towards the project.  Praise be to God. 

The 3-Day Africa Redemption Song Lecture with theme: Africa Redeemed and Arisen to Glory focused on the following topics:  

1. Africa, Arise to Glory 
2. The Path of Redemption And 
3. Ghana, The Model of Africa Reconciled, Redeemed, Rebuilt and Restored to Glory 

The following is an abridged Version of the Africa Redemption Song Lecture. 

PREAMBLE 

Blessed be the Most High God Creator of Heaven and Earth, Father of all spirits, sustainer and Saviour of the world, Hope of all creation. The Africa Redemption Song Lecture has been borne out of deep concern, intense intercessionary prayer and tortuous missionary journeys around Ghana and the sub-region of West Africa, and battles for the Redemption, Building and the Establishment of Ghana as a Beulah Land and God’s Kingdom Glory State. 

The papers presented in the lecture can be treated partly as the sharing of God’s vision for Africa and His revelation as to the way out and the way forward for Africa, and partly as testimony on the battles involved in the Deliverance, Redemption and Restoration of Africa in The Glory of God’s Kingdom on Earth. 

According to the LORD God, Africa has known no peace, no real joy and no power for centuries.  This is partly due to the fact that “All Power Belongs to Me, and All Knowledge and Vision Belong to Me” saith the LORD.  There are limitations imposed on man.  Man’s knowledge is conditional; his power is limited, conditioned by both the environment and time.  

According to the Lord, Africa is like a pool of water, standing water not flowing.  It is His wish to purify the water and make it flow.  Says the Lord, “The flowing Rivers of Africa will Bring Healing and Glory and Joy to the People.  I will release the Powers of Healing and Life and Joy to Africa.  For I am the LORD”. In this respect, there is no denying that Africa, the cradle of civilization has gotten herself entangled as it is in some deep misfortune, which has virtually made her a reproach to herself and her neighbors.  This, while all nations and all peoples are caught in The March Forward in Progress, Africa seems to have been caught in a proverbial vomit that is beating the imagination and understanding of Africans and non-Africans alike. 

But it is gladdening to note that, God The Creator, the All-Knowing, All-Wise, All-Powerful God has heard the cries and mourning of Africa and is now risen to redeem and restore Africa to her lost glory. In short, it is The LORD’S wish to Deliver Africa, Heal, Establish and Bless Her with Growth, Prosperity and Joy. On the Lord’s Agenda in this respect is Truth, Life, Liberty and Joy> “Truth is The Most High.  Life is I The Most High.  Liberty is I The Most High.  Love is Me, Jehovah, says the Lord God. 

The Lord requests Africa therefore to seek to know herself, her weakness, strength and opportunities open to her for her redemption and restoration.  Africa must know the path for the future.  Towards this, the Africa Redemption Song Lecture. 

The Lord God counsels that the search for the Path for Africa’s future should focus on God’s own Redemption Plan for Africa.  This should be done in the framework of Divine Reconciliation, Redemption and Restoration, the Three R’s we would put it. The 3-R’S is God’s the Creator’s own Way Out and Way Forward for Africa. 

We are blessed to have been chosen to present the Divine Path of Redemption for Africa to the Church, the Governments, the Chiefs and Elders and the entire people of Africa and their friends elsewhere for humble and prayerful consideration, and having believed, accepted and adopted the three R’s for Africa, Africa will call upon God, so God will Hear, Deliver, Heal, Bless and Restore Glory and Joy to her. 

According to the LORD, the Glory of Africa Reconciled, Redeemed and Restored to Glory will be of such height, Africa will lead the world again in 30 years’ time.  

The Africa Redemption Song Lecture opens a door of Divine Vision, Spiritual and Social Order and Promises of God for Africa.  The Vision is A New Africa; A New Order: God’s Own People. 

INTRODUCTION 

From the perspective of the three R’S proposed as The Path for the Future of Africa, The Redemption and Restoration of Glory to Africa is strictly speaking a spiritual proposition.  It pertains not only to the Reconciliation of Africa with God the Creator so there be Peace in Africa, it also entails the Break of the Chains Holding Africa in Captivity, the Uprooting of the old Foundations of the Desolation of Past Generations and the Establishment of New Covenant, New Foundation and Systems as basis and hope for The Restoration and Rise of Africa in Glory.  

The proposition gives a picture of God in Action to Deliver, Heal and Re-Order Africa’s affairs anew after His own Vision and in His Way for His Kingdom Glory on Earth. That makes Africa a new and special theatre for Divine Intervention in Human Affairs.  God did that with Israel in captivity in Egypt. 

The supposition behind this approach to the redemption and restoration of glory to Africa is that Africa has been a theatre of operation intense influence and indeed control by Satan, the archenemy of God the Creator and Man created in the image of The Creator. Satan by that definition is the Spirit-Power behind the polytheism and idolatry, superstition and darkness, the political economy of war, death and desolation prevalent in Africa.  

That is to say, the way to Africa’s redemption and restoration is not a technological issue as such.  It is a spiritual and cultural affair, demanding as it is special Divine Intervention in the spiritual framework of Reconciliation, Redemption and Restoration. 

The Divine Action for Africa’s Redemption is Presented under three sub-topics … (1) Africa Arise to Glory (2) The Path of Redemption And (3) Ghana, Model of Africa Redeemed, Reconciled and Restored to Glory. 

THE SPIRITUAL, RELIGIOUS AND CULTURAL BACKGROUND OF AFRICA 

Before discussing the topic, it is necessary to re-state the two issues the Lord God has stated are fundamental and critical to the state of affairs in Africa.  Africa Know Your God and Africa, Know That I Am God. 

The two questions point to a fundamental darkness and weakness in Africa’s spiritual horizon, leading to a serious leakage of power, strength and understanding regarding the Way of Truth, Light and Life, Peace, Liberty and Creativity, and thus social organization necessary to hold, improve upon and advance the forces of progress, civilization and human joy. 

Ignorance of the truth, will and sovereignty of God, and The Path of Life and Light, Peace and Liberty for Man in the cosmos of ultimate divine control and Kingdom Glory is background to the Spiritual, Political and Religious, Cultural Order of Darkness and Death, Violence and Wars, Blood Covenants and Social Desolation, and the centuries old state of No Peace, No Real Joy And No Power. 

From this spiritual, political and cultural order of darkness, death and desolation must Africa seek Deliverance and Healing, Redemption and Restoration through Divine Intervention and the path for the future with the three R’S proposed in the Africa Redemption Song Lecture. 

The truth is that Africa is under the weight of two opposing yet integrating and supportive forces working to hinder, frustrate and indeed render impotent and futile Africa’s efforts at stable political economy and social advancement.  

Whilst Satanism and idolatry have their own negative influences of heavy toll and cost in social processes, they provoke Divine Wrath and judgement that add further weight to the suffering, pain and death of nations and peoples. 

In the special case of Africa, the leader in social advancement and home of Pharaoh of the Israel Redemption story, Divine judgement has set in motion a special spiritual troika of a fierce king, a cruel master and a perverse spirit assigned the task to cause and supervise futility in Africa’s efforts (Isaiah 19). 

God has exercised His Sovereign Authority and Supreme Power to prove to Pharaoh and Africa that “I Am God” and also to ensure that Israel does not return to Egypt again, and thus the gods of Africa. The idols, mediums, sorcerers and even the wise of Egypt (Africa) cannot be allowed to have claims of power, wisdom and glory equal to that of The God and Redeemer of the Kingdom of Israel.  

This is background to the culture of wars, tribal war gods and blood covenants, confused and oppressive political leadership, low economic production and poor governance that not only halted Africa’s civilization but also made Africa a sorrowful and mourning continent and a reproach among nations and peoples. 

This also explains the LORD God’s declaration to Africa through His servant; Africa Know Your God and Africa Know That I Am God. 

The good news however is that in His mercy as in the case of fallen man (Genesis 3) God made provision for escape, for the redemption of Africa by a Savior and Mighty One when Africa shall repent, denounce her gods, accept and worship the creator as it is with Israel and call upon Him the Redeemer for deliverance from oppression. 

AFRICA ARISE TO GLORY 

The spiritual, religious and cultural background to Africa’s political, economic and social processes indicate that the redemption of Africa cannot be explained alone by and does not in fact lie with technology. 

If the prophecy of Isaiah has any lead to give Africa in her predicament, it is not only that God is the ultimate spirit-power behind the peculiar circumstances of Africa.  The prophecy legitimizes and enforces the Divine Redemption Plan in the proposed Reconciliation, Redemption and Restoration. 

The key to the Plan is Reconciliation with God. Reconciliation by definition involves repentance from Satanism and idolatry, the denunciation of the Satanic power, blood covenants, and the war and ancestral and dead-honoring culture and turning to the power and worship of God the Creator, Establishing the necessary follow-up Divine Covenant and foundation for Africa. 

In this respect, the topic Africa Arise to God is not a wake-up call nor a call for special political and economic measures for the redemption and restoration of glory to Africa as such.  It is in fact a cry unto Africa to take note of and accept the divine offer of redemption as given hint in Isaiah 19:19-22. Isaiah’s prophecy shows the Way of Deliverance, Healing and Restoration open to Africa. 

The way out of Africa’s predicament therefore is a cry unto God for deliverance from oppression, particularly from the spiritual Troika and for the healing of the desolation of past generations.  The Africa Economic base and inimical political and cultural structures need to be visited afresh.  This brings to fore education as the supportive mechanism for establishing the new spiritual and social order. 

Africa arise to Glory is essentially a cry unto Africa to stretch forth her hands unto God (Psalm 68:31-35) so God will Deliver and Heal her and re-instate her on the path of progress and civilization and unto Glory land. 

In this connection, Isaiah’s prophecy reveals that it is God the Creator’s wish to redeem Africa and make the people of Africa His people, so Africa be one with Israel and the Arab countries (Isaiah 19:23-25).  

AFRICA ARISE; YOUR REDEMPTION and RESTORATION IS HERE. Amen! 

THE PATH OF REDEMPTION 

The call unto Africa to arise to the Divine Redemption Plan introduces us to a special path of Redemption as instituted by God for Africa. This has been given as the three R’S, Reconciliation, Redemption and Restoration in the Knowledge of and under the hand of God the Creator. 

In this connection, three forces have been identified as responsible for the African Story: 

• Africa’s Idolatry and Blood Covenant with Satan, which has led to the Satanic Foundation for African Society.
• A Divine Curse of a Spiritual Troika of fierce spirits in control of Africa’s affairs, and;
• Foreign Domination due to Africa’s weakness and powerlessness caused by the interplay of the first and second forces. 

That being the case the open door and key to the three-tier Plan of Redemption is Reconciliation.  

If Africa establishes Peace with God and peace as basis for national processes, she will regain power, strength, wisdom and time to run her affairs.  She will have minds, spirits and resources released for production, progress and advancement.  

The call for Reconciliation with God as the fundamental and primary step to Africa’s Redemption is based on the basic recognition of Africa’s default not merely in man’s disobedience, practice and perpetuation of evil but in Africa’s submission to covenant with Satan and establishing society based on the power and worship of God. 

The truth here is that Satanism and Idolatry as the spiritual backbone and the dominant religious experience of Africa.  This is the major reason behind the special spiritual Troika of confusion and futility in Africa only repentance, turning away from Satan and Idolatry and Reconciling with God in true and faithful worship of The Creator alone can make God repent in turn, dismount and disengage the Troika.
