WHY THE BLACK STAR MUST LEAD AGAIN
THEME: FROM HUMAN INTELLECTUALISM TO THE DIVINE KINGDOM ORDER
“Unless the LORD builds the house, they labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.” (Ps. 127:1)
Mr. Joseph Owusu presented a brilliant paper suggesting that Ghana must take up leadership in West Africa and Africa again as was the case in the days of Kwame Nkrumah (Chronicle Friday, May 1, 2009). That Ghana has the brain power, the intellectual capacity to buttress her claim of leadership. Though Ghana may be relatively less endowed with economic power, the governance and management capacity established, coupled with the discovery of oil, can help the nation stand on her own against economic giants such as South Africa, Botswana, Gabon, Angola, and others.
We admire the nationalist persuasion, the honest desire and courage to direct the minds of political and intellectual leadership and to some extent the business community in Ghana to birth the vision, bolster up political will and economic muscle to take the nation’s success with democratic governance to higher levels of sub-regional and continental leadership.
However, we humbly submit that intellectual power, political will, good governance, and economic muscle alone cannot make the Black Star rise up to regain the initial headstart advantage of the immediate post-independence Ghana.
The first weakness of the proposition is that Ghana has no monopoly over intellectual power and the tenets of democratic governance, assuming that democracy is the balm of political and social evil, and for that matter the pre-requisite of economic power and national glory.
Second, leadership is a spirit endowment. Brilliance and talents, wisdom, and leadership spirit are Divine endowments among others. They are bestowed by God. Kingship is an institution of God. Men exercise delegated authority and are therefore answerable to God the Creator, the Supreme Sovereign of the universe.
The most brilliant and most gifted are not always and do not become automatic leaders. God grants grace in His own counsel and pleasure. Thus, when leadership is stolen, usurped, or advanced through satanic power and human machinations, it flounders and fails with time.
The third lesson is that Nkrumah was not the most brilliant among the Big Six. Nor was he the most intellectually gifted in the Gold Coast at his time. Time and chance orchestrated by God opened a door to him.
Similarly, the Gold Coast was not the most endowed with intellectual power in the hey days of the post-World War II political emancipation movement. It is God who paved the way for the Gold Coast in sub-Sahara Africa.
Again, Rawlings was not the most brilliant soldier, neither by intellectual power nor military prowess. Yet God chose him to confound the brilliant and competent soldiers like General Akuffo who set in motion military musical chairs with his palace coup. Akuffo played foul with the destiny of God -chosen Ghana, hence the fire power of Divine wrath that descended with the AFRC.
The fourth lesson here is that when God the Creator who reigns and rules in the affairs of men is neglected and/or is rejected for the wisdom of man and the power of Satan, kingdoms, and empires fall. It is this that made the empires and kingdoms of Africa and the nations fall.
Today, we are witnessing a shaking in the air and on the ground affecting the glory of the USA and the other mighty nations of the global economy and geo-politics. The end of this shaking is yet to fully fall in place.
The fifth and final lesson we posit is that Nkrumah’s Black Star had a spiritual power base not of the Almighty God the Creator. The Spirit of the Lord revealed this to us. The Most High God dealt a blow to that power to cast it out and diffuse its influence upon the nation and her destiny as God chosen nation and people.
The conclusion of the matter is that there is no and there can be no resurrection ‘The Black Star’ of Nkrumah making and Nkrumah era. The issue here is not just that Nkrumah as a spirit person is no more in circulation and has lost influence upon Ghana.
The original spirit-power propelling Nkrumah’s Ghana is no more!
The New Ghana of today has a new Divine foundation, power base, and controlling spirit system. Ghana—the nation chosen and redeemed by God Almighty from the Satan-man alliance control systems—is the Star Nation and People of God in Africa, for Africa and the world.
Ghana is star of Africa. She is not “black star” of black Africa.
On the other hand, political and/or economic leadership of Africa is not the issue. A model nation and people of God—a godly people of peace, righteousness, justice, joy, and glory in the knowledge and hand of God—is the issue and challenge to the New Ghana.
The star standing of the New Ghana is not the Nkrumah black star standing. The Black Star of erstwhile has lost its glamour, power, and glory.
The key to Ghana’s stand as STAR NATION OF AFRICA is the will, knowledge, hand, power, and glory of the Almighty God and His Kingdom Order of Peace, Righteousness, Justice, and Joy in the worship of Him alone, as was the case of obedient and righteous Israel at the time of King David.
This is what will keep Beulah the New Ghana shinning as “Star of Africa” till the end of time. LET US GO OR IT!
This is the PATH OF GLORY for Ghana, God’s chosen nation in Africa, for Africa, and the world. All others are but sinking sand!!!
