I AM NOT ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL (PART II)
THEME: THE SUPREMACY OF CHRIST OVER THE “POLITICAL KINGDOM” OF MEN
In Part 1, we introduced the Gospel of Jesus Christ, its vision and mission and its goal in creating A New Man, A New Life, God Kingdom Order on earth, and ultimately A New Heaven and A New Earth, all in the image, power, and glory of Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God for the glory of the Father.
In the presentation, we identified “Another Gospel” being canvassed and indeed imposed on the nation through the exercise, in Nkrumah style of the powers of the NDC as ruling political party and government, and custodian of the powers of the State. It is the gospel of Kwame Nkrumah as God, founder, father, redeemer, and hope of the nation, Ghana. This Gospel of Kwame Nkrumah has as goal the establishment of the “Osagyefo Political Kingdom Order” in Ghana and Africa. Its spiritual, philosophical, and value base, systems and structures are different from and indeed opposed to that of the Gospel of Christ.
The “Gospel of Kwame Nkrumah” is being canvassed by anti-Christ group(s) who oppose the Gospel of Christ and God-Kingdom Order in Ghana as the true basis and hope for the redemption and restoration of glory to Africa on one part and those who are blinded by the desire for power and would want to invoke the ghost and spirit forces of Nkrumah to assist them in the political and economic adventure and desire for power and social status.
This is an evil and dangerous development. Just as it did in the Nkrumah era, this spiritual detour will retard the forward march of the country. Hence, the Clarion Call unto church, the nation, and the people to rise up, reject, and overthrow the wicked pretensions of political adventurers, idolators, and power brokers.
In Part 2, we present the spiritual foundation and vision behind the Gospel of Christ and the Christian faith to assist in comparing the hope in the gospel of Jesus Christ with that of any spirit.
We suggest in the process that the Hidden Mystery of the Gospel and the faith is the Divine Spirit, Person, and Power of Christ. It is His Divine Nature and Everlasting Spirit-Power that is behind the Word of God of the Christian Scriptures, not those of angels and men, spirits, or powers of any kind. Such powers as they are incomparable in stature, effect, and glory to Jesus Christ.
Christ is the Spirit of Life, Light and Creation. He alone is the source of Redemption, Restoration, and Hope for man and rest of creation. No spirit nor power outside Christ has the power, understanding, and right to redeem, recreate, restore, or re-order creation.
No philosophy, theory, faith or religion—no angel and no man—can make or sustain propositions as Jesus has done and does. Christ is the Spirit of Life, Resurrection and Restoration. Therein lie the beauty and glory of the Gospel of Christ and Hope of the Christian Faith.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is summarized simply as: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 KJV).
The Bible bases the Christian Faith on three spiritual foundational truths:
1. That there is God: Sovereign, Supreme, Eternal Being, Power, Creator of heaven and earth, source of all spirit, power and matter, father of all spirits, wisdom, knowledge, powers, virtues, and glory of all creation on earth and the universe.
- All Creation in heaven and earth, all things in the universe owe their origin, nature, sustenance, destiny, and glory to the Creator God. Creation has been ordered, set in being, place, and motion to show forth the glory of the creator.
- They exist for His Praise and Glory. Therefore, they exist, retain their nature and integrity, beauty and glory at His pleasure.
- All creation is defined and destined therefore for the worship, praise, and glory of the Creator. To honor this spiritual arrangement in worship, trust, and obedience is Righteousness and Life. Conversely, to rebel against, disregard, or disobey this set order leads to condemnation and damnation, rejection, death, and extinction under the weight of the wrath and judgement of the Creator.
Hence, Satan and Man’s rebellion and disobedience, their rejection of God and the knowledge of Him have brought world order and human life, the world kingdom systems and their glory under judgement and what we call the Political Economy of Death. All reality outside Divine dominion and the creator’s heavenly kingdom order not only stand in Unrighteousness and Judgement but is also subject to corruption, decay, condemnation, death, and extinction. Indeed, the whole heavenly and earthly order stands in need of Divine intervention, fresh determination, and re-ordering. All have sinned. All is condemned. All stand in need of redemption and restoration. It is for this cause Christ has been revealed and is come into the world. He has come to reconcile, redeem, restore and make all things new.
2. The second foundational truth of the Christian Faith is Christ Jesus—His Spirit, Word, Life, Power, Authority, and Works. Upon this block stand three pillars:
- The Word of God which is Spirit, Life, and Power and pillar of truth.
- The Cross of Christ at which was shed blood for the remission of sin and the redemption of man and creation.
- The Restoration of Glory, the Resurrection Spirit and Eternal Life through faith in Jesus Christ, His Spirit, Word, and Works.
Christ, the Son of the Living God is the Spirit- Power of Life and Light behind all creation. He has been revealed for the sole purpose of atoning, consuming, stopping, eliminating, and wiping away the rebellion and disobedience of Satan and Man. He has come to deliver man and creation from condemnation and damnation, death, extinction, and the abiding wrath and judgement of God on earth and the universe.
Christ in this connection is the Divine Spirit of Life and Righteousness released to neutralize the Satan-man rebellion, disobedience, and consequent death and establish—instead the Salvation and Reconciliation, Redemption, Restoration, resurrection, and recreation of things and establishing anew the God Heavenly Kingdom Order and its Glory in the heavenlies and on earth.
Again, the Christian Faith holds that Christ is the Spirit, Wisdom, and Power behind the Creation Anew of Man, the Kingdom of God on earth, and the New Heaven and the New Earth. He was the Spirit- Power at creation (John 1:1-4; Col. 1:12-20). He is the Spirit-Power for creating things anew (Is. 42: 1-12; Eph. 2: 10; Rev. 21: 1-5). He is the Spirit-Power given all authority and power by the Father over all creation in both heaven and earth. He has been assigned the task to Save, Reconcile, Redeem, Restore, and impart the Resurrection Spirit and Life back into man and creation. Christ Jesus indeed is the Hope of all Creation. He is the Alpha and Omega for creation (Rev. 1:8; 22:13; Col. 1: 12-27).
As the Bible reveals, Christ is the Mystery, Wisdom, and Power of God made manifest in the flesh for the benefit of all nations, all creation, including angels (Eph. 3:1011; 1Tim. 3:16; 1Corinth. 1:24). This is a foundational truth held by the Apostles and Prophets from the beginning to-date.
3. The third foundational truth and bloc of the Faith is the Teaching and Testimonies of the Holy Spirit through the Apostles and Prophets, with Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone (Eph 2:20). The Prophets of the Old Testament as well as the Apostles and Prophets of the New Testament spoke and wrote, declare, and testified under the direct unction of the Holy Spirit. To be sure, there were a few interjections of angels as directed by the Father. However, the bulk of the scriptures was the direct work of the Holy Spirit upon holy men chosen of God.
It can be seen from the above that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is of a sure Eternal Divine Spirit and power that holds it in purity, integrity, consistency and power through and through. GOD never changes. He is consistent and constant, pure, and undefiled—eternally the same. Amen!
In stark contrast, the ideas of angels and men are temporal. They change. They do not have comprehensive and everlasting knowledge, wisdom, and power to back them. Indeed, the glory of man is short and often brutish. It goes without saying the ideas, knowledge, wisdom, and power of Man, the philosophies and theories, faiths and religion whose origin are of angels and men are suspect, and in any case are no match to the Divine Eternal Spirit, truth, wisdom, and power behind the Gospel of Christ and the Christian Faith.
Further, Jesus Christ—even in His position as man—is of a higher Spirit-Power standing, stature, and glory than all the angels and “wise men” of the world. He is above all (John 1: 26-34). Hence, He could declare I Am Alpha and Omega. Before Abraham was I Am. I Am the Way, the Truth, and Life. I Am the Resurrection and Life. My Father has life in Him so do I. I have power to grant and take life. I have the keys of hades and death. “He who believes in Me has passed from death unto life.” I am going to prepare a place for him. And I will come back to take him or her to where I am. Where I am, there will My people be. In My Father’s house are many mansions.
Christ and the Faith have no comparison. They constitute Life and Liberty, Peace, Righteousness, Joy, Victory, Glory, and Hope.
Finally, let it be clearly understood: Christ is not an angel, demon, nor dead ancestor to be invoked and sought for power, information (knowledge), and wisdom. Angels and death, the Elders in heaven and creation on earth all bow before Him. Christ is the Resurrection. Who is like unto Him. He is the door as well as key to life. The Gospel, the Faith, and the Church is Christ. Pity are those so-called apostles, prophets, bishops, archbishops, clergy, and laity of the Church that go “a-whoring” with and after spirits and powers, angels, demons, and the dead, that cling to the ideas and systems of men in place of Christ and the scriptures.
Jesus Christ is soon coming to judge and reward, to cast out and to bless, to send into hell fire, to crown with life and glory.
“Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give rest to your souls” (Matt. 11:27 – 29).
