IF THERE BE GOD, LET GOD BE

Series:

THEME: FORSAKE IDOLATRY AND TRADITIONALISM, HONOR GOD EXCLUSIVELY

Year 2007 has been declared Jubilee Year, a year of Celebration of Liberty decreed by God for the people who know, honor, worship and adore Him as God, their God. Jubilee Celebration in that case is not a mere celebration of time, history or nationhood.  It is the celebration of The Almighty God, Creator of Heaven and Earth whose word “LET THERE BE” is behind creation and the idea of freedom and liberty for captives, the poor, oppressed and disadvantaged.

The nation and people that know their God do obeisance to Him and subject their contractual obligations and cultural practices and national well-being to He whose “LET THERE BE” turns automatically into a decree establishing and underpinning all creation, all conduct, all things.

The Bible which is the all-time tried voice of God is the place from where Ghana drew inspiration from and direction for the Celebration of Jubilee Year.  And the Spirit of God declares succinctly in Psalm 33:12 saying, “blessed is the nation whose God is Jehovah and the People He has chosen as His own Inheritance” Ghana has believed and adopted to honor God the Creator, the Father of Jesus Christ and God of Israel as God, the God of Ghana.  Accordingly, Ghana has opted for His decree of liberty in Year 50 of nationhood, hence the declaration of the 50th Anniversary of the nation’s Independence as Jubilee Year Celebration.

There have been declarations and observations about Ghana being chosen by God as Star Nation of Africa.  If Ghana on her own adopts the God of Israel as her God, it follows that Ghana shall benefit from and enjoy the fullness of divine blessings first for her choosing of the Creator as her God and second for the blessings inherent in the Jubilee Year Decree. Blessed Be Ghana, indeed!!

It is very sad in this direction that while we rejoice in hope of mercy, providence and protection and the fullness of freedom and liberty for people and nation, we have chosen to return to the vomit of Satanism and idolatry, the worship of gods, goddesses and deities, spirits dwelling in forests, hills and mountains, lagoons, rivers and seas, and spirits of the dead, or better still the departed.

That is to say, instead of honoring the Creator, the God of the land in Obedience and Reverence, in ascribing strength and glory due Him, we have gone back to impose the traditional, custom, religion and culture of worship, honour and adoration of the gods, goddesses and spirits of the departed. Thus, in the ban on drumming in Accra, the nation’s capital, the government, nation and people including the church have been returned into captivity at the hand, bidding and honor of decrees by gods, the lower elements and the departed.

The “GA NMAA DUMO” Ban on Drumming period as we know is a time of invoking and honoring the presence of the spirits of lagoons, the seas and dead ancestors, among dwellers of the city.  Further, it is a time to ascribe glory to the gods and dead ancestors for plenty, prosperity and destiny of the land. In doing so, the nation whose God is now declared as Jehovah the Creator, The I AM THAT I AM is not only contradicting, debasing and subjecting herself to the worship of Satan and his agents, the nation goes further to ascribe strength, progress, prosperity and destiny of nation and people to the gods of the Gas, and the fraternity of gods and goddesses, deities and ancestors of the country.  but this is an abomination to God the Creator who would have Nation and People worship and serve no other god but Him Jehovah.

In this wise, the Government and Nation, Church and People are provoking God’s jealousy, wrath and judgement once more upon the country.  God forbid that in spite of the elaborate plans celebrating the Reconciliation, Liberation, Redemption and Restoration of Glory to Ghana as Star of Africa we should sink back into the satanic, darkly and wicked works that sent us into captivity in the first place that halted the nation’s march towards progress, prosperity and glory, and brought reproach, shame and poverty, and with it the perpetuation of backwardness, stagnation and hopelessness.

In this year of Liberty, Ghanaians must have taken note by now of the works of the enemies of the nation, Satan and his agents who would have the country remain in captivity.  There are those who do not want the nation to take advantage of light and life, freedom and liberty in God to establish and consolidate peace, development, progress and prosperity, and her chosen destiny as Star of Africa. They would rather have Ghana continue under divine curse, satanic oppression and human wickedness and the devices and control of cruel, fierce and perverse spirits, blood drinking, violent, warmongering, demon-worshipping leaders.

Perhaps, it may be worthwhile reminding ourselves that the traditionalists whose stock in trade and indulgence is with custom and culture, religion, worship, obeisance and observance of the decrees, directives and wisdom of the gods and goddesses, deities and ancestors constitute part of the dark clouds and negative trends that expose African families, tribes, peoples and nations to the jealousy, wrath and judgement of god and the darkness of backwardness and poverty, human rights abuses, the disrespect for human soul, bloodletting and wars, and the degradation of human dignity and peace.

In that respect, we cannot ignore the wicked works and reign of terror, wickedness, deception and oppression by Satan the devil with his host of fallen angels, demons and wicked spirits and men who dominate the corridors of power, religion and culture in Africa. On the other hand, we cannot overemphasize the Divine indignation and wrath against religious people who invoke spirits from the forests and mountains, rivers and seas, honor flying and creeping objects and offer blood sacrifices of diverse kinds to their gods. It is sad in this direction the dark works and influence of the darkened spirits and minds among the worldly knowledgeable, learned and wise who deny God, the knowledge and obedience of his laws and commandments and reject the observance of his light, liberty and ways that promote human life and dignity and do honor to the Creator.

Between the Traditionalists, the Religious and the Worldly Knowledgeable and Wise the world and Africa in particular has been caught and held captive in the web of Divine Wrath, Satanic Oppression and Human Wickedness.  The world now lies in the Reign and Culture of Terror, Violence and Wars, and Human Perversion.  Scientific Advance and Civilization, Political and Economic Power are now synonymous with weapons of mass destruction, military might and the concentration of wealth.

In this state of Godlessness, Satanic Oppression and Human Wickedness, Africa has been both a place of self-incrimination and the receiving end of global exploitation and oppression. It is with this in mind that we have been compelled to Raise an Alarm and Sound a Warning to Ghana, “IF THERE BE GOD, LET THERE BE”If we want to enjoy the Blessedness of a Chosen Nation and Redeemed People Holy unto God, then let us forsake the gods, ancestors and familiar spirits and the dark and evil ways of the learned who know no God and who therefore have no right to demand that they be heard.  We must not allow their ideas of darkness, poverty and perversion to rule the country.  We cannot replace God the Creator with them.  We must purge our culture of Philosophy, Arts and Music of depravity, godlessness and decadence. We must not return to the old spiritual and social order of Satanism and idolatry, the political economy of captivity and culture of darkness, depravity and decadence from which we have now been delivered.

The Jubilee Year offers fresh opportunity to know, thank, worship and honor the LORD God of Hosts, Creator and Father of Jesus Christ, the Saviour, Redeemer and King and usher the country into peace, righteousness, justice and progress.

IF THERE BE GOD, LET GOD BE!!! Amen.
