THE HOLY SPIRIT AS A POWER SYSTEM

Series:

SERMON INSIGHT

Reaffirming the Covenant and the Role of the Church

The church is reaffirmed as a school and an institution where believers operate as the people called by God after Christ’s departure. Without the Holy Spirit’s descent on the day of Pentecost, the 200 gathered people would have gone their own ways, forming committees to decide the church’s nature and actions.

The entire enterprise is the Father’s, who so loved the world that he chose to release himself in another dimension, coming down to serve as a human being, Jesus Christ. Jesus humbled himself in the form of clay to be the champion of our salvation upon our nature. When Christ was in the tomb, the Father was with him, communing and discussing the future which has enabled us to become Christians today. When Christ rose, human efforts, military power, and weapons gathered on the stones were useless; even the stones knew their master had returned. Every spiritual force and negativity assembled against believers is crumpled up.

Lucifer, an angel who rebelled, did not know his beginning or ending and thought heaven was his domain until he was cast out. Jesus came, saying “enough is enough,” the Word became flesh and met him. Before meeting him, Jesus had to put on the spiritual garment of who he is; the Holy Spirit came to abide with and clothe him to the spiritual standard where he could speak to all things, including Lucifer. When Satan claimed all the kingdoms of this world belonged to him, Jesus stated they were his originally and he would take them by his authority, saying, “Get thee hence,” which was the end.

After Jesus finished the work and ascended to heaven, the angels told the disciples that he would return in the same way he left. Our task is to prepare the world for the second coming. Knowing our nature of sin and weakness, we need the accompaniment of another divine being. Christ himself in another word, His companion called the Comforter. The Comforter shall be your companion for this entire mission.

The Holy Spirit’s Purpose and the Church’s True Nature

The coming down of the Holy Spirit turns the church into a spiritual movement of God from A to Z. The Holy Spirit is sent so that we don’t turn the church into a human institution, trying to explain divine purposes with human learning like philosophy or psychology.

The church is a school and a divine spiritual instrument/institution to help us know the true God and learn how to walk and work the works of the true God among creation. Because of spiritual confusion in the world, the church is excited about the supernatural, leading some to believe everything supernatural is of God.

The Holy Spirit is the spirit of Truth. When you have Him, you know the difference between spirits, forces, and powers. The spirit of truth comes so that you shall not walk in darkness. Believers are invited to this stage of reintroduction of the Holy Spirit back to the church, as part of a world movement of deep spiritual restoration.

The foundation of the church is Christ, and the baptizer with the Holy Spirit is Christ. Unless Christ introduces the Holy Spirit to you and baptizes you with Him, you cannot enter the kingdom affairs, which are places of dominion and power. The Holy Spirit is not just a force for anointing; the anointing has come so that you witness of Jesus Christ.

Correcting Misunderstandings about Faith and the Church

One of the greatest teachings that has confused the church is the faith group. The faith group has spread the teaching of faith as “power received by you to do what you want”, which is a wrong teaching. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God, and receiving faith through the Word does not give you license to do what you want, but permission to do what the Word of God said.

Receiving a gift or power of the Holy Spirit does not automatically make a group “the church”. Churches focusing on deliverance, faith power, anointing, or “cash announcement” are examples of “dirty things” the enemy has put in the church, leading to confusion about what the church is.

The church is called, born again, and baptized by the Holy Spirit. Before becoming part of the church, one must be born again. To enter where the church is going, one must be baptized by the Holy Spirit. The church must be sanctified by the truth (which the Holy Spirit teaches) and by Jesus Christ. The Father’s accreditation is that they are after Christ and bear His spirit.

Those who are born again are born by Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit ministers Christ; the Holy Spirit is not the spirit of the new birth. Christ in you is the hope of being transformed into a divine personality. Jesus Christ baptizes you with the Holy Spirit after you agree He is the Savior, creating a companionship where you can consult the Holy Spirit who receives from Christ. The accredited member of the church is part of a spiritual body, not an organization.

The key to walking this walk is humility and obedience. Obedience looks like a luxury because we only believe in Christ, and He puts us into a special position to walk and work the works of God. The Holy Spirit has come to make the church retain its spiritual nature, purity, and truth. Worship must be in spirit and in truth.

If the church relies on human understanding, wisdom and human agreement about what is good, it is a human organization, not the church. Relying on the learning of human beings who have not been born again or sanctified is applying dead theories with no life.

The Power of the Holy Spirit and the Church’s Authority

The church must have a true, spectacular, powerful voice that is accepted as the voice of God. If the church’s decisions are made without consulting the Holy Spirit who guides, the decisions are not from the Father. Jesus said, “I’m going away, but I will not leave you out; I will send somebody, when he’s here, you can do greater works. This is because Christ has taken His seat, and all authority has been referred to Him, allowing believers to be given authority to do greater things that human minds cannot comprehend.

Our weapons are not carnal; they are mighty, but unseen; a mystery. The church is a mystery and has been given authority to identify the Creator and interpret His will to principalities, powers, and even angels.

The church is not the property of the Pastor or founder; it is founded and handed over with a certificate, with the instruction: “don’t do anything until you have consulted the Holy Spirit“. The Holy Spirit receives from the Father and Christ and gives direction.

The Holy Spirit power as a system is divine power, not just an active force. The greatest thing one learns when receiving this power is humility and obedience in love. The power comes to enable you to witness about Jesus Christ.

The Holy Spirit’s Mission and the Gifts

The Holy Spirit came from heaven. In John 16, we are told the Holy Spirit does not speak of Himself but has come to glorify, testify, teach the truth, and glorify Jesus Christ. Doing things in the will of the Father pleases Him. Introduction to the Father is by Jesus Christ. When you please Him, He will manifest Himself and introduce you to the Father, where you and the Father know each other. This requires a higher humility, approaching the task with trembling.

The focus on people falling down as a sign of the Holy Spirit’s presence is insufficient, as it can be faked or misinterpreted. A purifying fire will enter the church now, and people cannot go about using the word “church” carelessly. This movement is not to condemn, but to redeem.

Paul said, “I will not leave you ignorant” concerning the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit combine to give power. The three have agreed to pass on divine power to members who have honored them, known as the gifts of the Holy Spirit, to dignify and distinguish the church’s spiritual operation.

The gifts cannot be obtained or operated simultaneously. This is a distribution of labor so that no one boasts or compares their gift or church to be more important than others. The gifts are given to members so that the body acts as one collective united whole body to witness of and glorify Jesus Christ.

Warning against Misdirection and Self-Interest

Familiar spirits and satanic power are in abandoned systems that pretend to be the church. The gift of word of Knowledge and word of Wisdom can give abandonment, but they are not prophetic in the sense of foretelling. The word of Knowledge gives the background and environmental circumstances of what lies ahead, so you know how you are operating.

The gifts are only parts to build one body (the church), which is not necessarily one organization. Any church bringing in a minister must have the discerning spirit and know the power system to ensure they are walking in truth. Prophesying must be “thus says the Lord” from God, not from your own imagination. The church falls because we have denied the importance of the Holy Spirit.

The power system requires humility, obedience, and deep prayer to ensure you are walking right before God and not following your own mind or another spirit’s suggestion.

The greatest error in the faith movement is that it has centralized on the cares and woes of this life. When the whole teaching is based on cares and concerns, the church cannot grow in the knowledge of God or bear the expected fruit. This focus turns the church from Christ, the abiding grace, and the truth, and can allow another spirit that operates in cares and concerns to attach itself.

Prophecy is the Spirit of God coming upon a person and using their faculties to speak. Prophesying by one’s mind is operating in the world of senses, making these churches sensual, focusing on feelings, teaching, and sight.

Holy Spirit gift is not power to win elections or command many people; these are of human beings or Satan. The Lord knows what gift He wants to give to every member of a team to glorify Jesus Christ.

The Lord emphasized that life does not consist of what a man possesses. The truthfulness of a church cannot be judged by its buildings or wealth. The source of life is the Spirit of God in you, which comes from Jesus Christ.

The Father wants you to know He is your Father and friend; Jesus Christ is your brother and friend; and the Holy Spirit is your companion and friend. Do not use material possessions as a yardstick to measure the church. Find out whether you are standing in the truth.

God bless you
