THE HOLY SPIRIT POWER, INSTITUTION AND SYSTEM

Series:

SERMON INSIGHTS

The Church as a Divine Institution

Central Spiritual Truth: The Church is not a product of human initiative but a heavenly-conceived institution that requires the Holy Spirit to function according to God’s nature.

  • Divine Conception: The speaker asserts that the Church was “conceived in heaven before Jesus Christ came” and is therefore not a human institution subject to human logic.
  • The Limitation of Man: When left to his own understanding, man “operates as a better man,” but he cannot operate as a divine being without the “spiritual movement” of the Holy Spirit.
  • A Covenant of Life: The gathering is framed as a “covenant” with God to receive a “new breath of life” and a “new spirit” ordained from heaven for the end time

The Holy Spirit as a Multi-Layered Power System

Central Spiritual Truth:The Holy Spirit operates as a sophisticated system of “departments” or “realms,” each offering deeper levels of divine relationship and performance.

  • The System of Departments: Each spiritual operation—whether prophecy, vision, or healing—is described as a “department” and a “power system” within the realm of creation.
  • The Door to Deepening: Spiritual gifts like tongues or interpretation are not endpoints; they are “doors” that open into a “more glorious way, Father’s way.”
  • Beyond Initial Miracles: The speaker notes that while laying hands on people or seeing them “raised from the dead” is powerful, there is always “more to learn” because God’s wisdom is limitless.
  • The Prerequisite of Humility: To progress within this system, one must maintain “humility at the feet of God,” acknowledging that “each system can be deepened because it’s divine.”

 The Mandate for Greater Works

Central Spiritual Truth: The presence of the Holy Spirit in the Church is intended to empower servants to perform “greater works” that impact the world.

  • Speaking to Mountains: The power system of the Spirit enables the believer to encounter “mountains to speak to” with the assurance that they “will bow.”
  • A New Set of Servants: The speaker expresses a vision for the conference to “produce a new set of servants of God” for Ghana, Africa, and the entire world.
  • The Goal of Service: The invitation is for believers to evaluate their current standing and ask, “How far can you allow yourself… so that you’ll be of greater self [service]?”
  • Scriptural Anchor: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” John 14:12.

The Role of the Spirit as Teacher and Companion

Central Spiritual Truth: The Holy Spirit is the personal guide who introduces the believer to the “why and wherefore” of the divine life.

  • A Personal Invitation: The Spirit is welcomed as “our teacher, our friend and companion,” signaling a relational rather than purely mechanical power.
  • Clarification of Position: The speaker intends to “clarify the position” of the believer within the institution of the Church, ensuring they understand how their life changes when the Spirit is “present and active.”
  • The Father’s Way: The ultimate direction of the Spirit is to lead the Church into the “Father’s way,” which is described as the most glorious path.

Exhortations, Prayers, and Calls to Action

  • Assess Your Standing: “Think of your door that is open to you. Where do you stand right now with the divine power, wisdom, and knowledge?”
  • Do Not Stop: A stern exhortation is given not to stop “on the way” just because one has attained basic gifts like prophecy. “There’s more to learn. There are more things to do.”
  • Prayer for New Life: The speaker leads a petition for the Lord to “Breathe new breath of life upon us” and to allow the “new spirit” to take hold.
  • Yield to the System: Allow yourself to be integrated into the “power system” of the Holy Spirit to move from glory to glory.

Final Proclamation: “May God help us if we can be found among such people or we can be such a people.

Amen.
