THE WAY OF VICTORY, LIGHT, AND HOPE
THEME: THE DIVINE PATH TO NATIONAL RECOVERY
Peace be unto the people of Ghana, Africa, and the World!
Peace and Goodwill was the message that closed the doors and gates of Year 2012 for men—beasts, birds, households, villages, towns, cities, nations, and the world. In Ghana, even private corporate entities and public institutions closed Year 2012 on a spiritual note of hope in Divine assurance of peace on earth and goodwill towards men. Indeed, there was a ring of hope and expectations in the land.
This notwithstanding, Year 2013 opened with a spiritual, political, and economic tension in the country. The tension which emerged from the political sector, is threatening to rob the nation and people of the hope of peace and goodwill, peaceful, stable, progressive development, and orderly governance where human liberties and freedom of conscience, justice, and liberty for free unfettered participation in politics, business, and governance in the knowledge and fear of God will be the guiding light and platform for enterprise, performance, conduct, and life as a whole.
Unfortunately, as the Lord God Jehovah has intimated to His servants, men’s hearts are failing them in the country. It is also reported that marriages, family ties, church harmony—as well as business partnerships and corporate fidelity—are shaken and being shaken.
Above all, President Mahama’s Government, Parliament, and the Judiciary are all in a state of stress and anxiety. For example, the Judiciary buildings—where freedom and justice, liberty and decorum should prevail—are virtually under siege by people and security forces alike. For once, political party supporters invaded the court precincts with sticks. Who knows what next! Consider what happened in South Africa!
There is no debate therefore, that we are indeed in evil, trying, and dangerous times. This calls for honest, wise, and stately leadership and governance. That is to say, it is not enough to sound charitable appeal for peace, quiet, and soberness from people. Nor can police-military presence ensure peace, hope, and rest to the spirits, hearts, and minds of suffering and agitated people. It is a sad reality that this nation is suffering from two critical deficiencies: A leadership crisis and “Wise-Counsel Anaemia!”
Who can come to the aid of the country, arrest the situation, and bring peace, stability, quiet, and hope? Yes, where must the people and nation go BUT TO THE LORD GOD MOST HIGH.
We are taking liberty of the medium of the Ghanaian Observer therefore, to once again assure the government, nation, and people of Ghana: THAT THE MOST HIGH GOD HAS NOT FORSAKEN THE COUNTRY. He is ready and willing to come and arrest the situation and ensure peace, quiet, stability, and hope if we shall believe, humble ourselves as people, trust, have faith in and call upon Him. There is great need for light, counsel, and direction in these trying dark times!
The Lord Himself has described the situation in His own words saying: “Hearts are bleeding. Sorrow has gripped many. People have lost hope. They are in sad and pitiable situation. Hearts are ready and yearning to hear the voice of the Most High God.”
That is to say, souls are in agony and being lost in the midst of confusion and political siege. Is it not a challenge of the time that government and national institutions—such as the Electoral Commission, the Armed Forces, Police, and Parliament—cannot be trusted to safeguard and protect the nation and people. The nation which is full of religious people has nowhere to turn to but to the righteous and faithful God.
In that regard, there is no debate: the Church and people worshipping the True God in Spirit and in Truth have a duty towards God, Church, Ghana, and her people to lead in the cry unto Jehovah God for salvation, healing, and hope.
May we assure the people of Ghana in this respect that victory, light, and hope in challenging situation and this dark and evil times are only possible with the Most High God. They are not and cannot be found in governments and political parties, nor in companies, business ventures, money, and treasure. Philosophical and ideological propositions and man devised social constructs cannot help either. Human knowledge derived from induction, analytical study, and scientific discovery cannot stop failing hearts and falling trees. It is time to turn to the Most High God, Jehovah, O Chiefs and People of Ghana, O Governments and Political Parties, O Philosophers and Learned of Ghana!
Political party power, government power, and state power, as well as political and economic power cannot stop failing hearts, failing confidence, failing business, and falling trees! O party gurus and faithful’s, philosophers and foot soldiers, political power is not the key and source of life. ONLY GOD CAN SAVE, GIVE LIFE and HOPE!!
People of Ghana, the way forward for victory in the current state of affairs is Faith, Humility, Trust, and Hope in God. It is God’s wish to save, redeem man and give him victory over Satan, evil, and his own weaknesses, wickedness, and failings.
As we have stated elsewhere, Year 2013 is a Year of Change. Let us all go to the HOUSE OF THE LORD in humility, trust, and hope. Let us call upon Him in faith. The Saviour, Jesus Christ, is there to save. He will save, shed light upon, and deliver from darkness, grant victory to our motherland, heal, and give hope to us all. He once said, “Come unto Me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest unto your souls”.
