TO THE CHURCH: RETURN TO THE ANCIENT PATHS FOR GHANA’S SALVATION-AN OPEN LETTER TO THE CHURCH
THEME: CHURCH REPENTANCE ON THE ANCIENT PATHS GUARANTEES NATIONAL SALVATION AND PEACE
“Will You be angry with us forever?
Will You prolong Your anger to all generations?
(Psalm 85:5)
Hear ye people of God
Hear ye His Saints
The Lord has been favorable to Ghana
The Lord has brought back the captivity of Jacob
The Lord has forgiven the iniquity of His people
He has turned away His wrath against the land
He has liberated the land from the wicked ruling spirit
And the foreign spirits and nations banded against our land
Because of the evil ways and evil works,
Because of the falsehood and wickedness in the Church and in the land
The Lord has been angry with the land
Therefore, the land has known but travail
Yet there has been little progress
By way of Peace and Joy in the land
Instead of peace, progress and the pursuit of the well-being of the people our leaders have turned offices, positions and public assets into private and personal heritage. Instead of Truth, Life and Liberty, Unity, Peace and Strength, the Church is turned into competition, ceaseless wrangling, falsehood and wickedness. Instead of the Everlasting Gospel, The Cross and the ancient path, the Church is turned into fables, itching words and falsehood.
The wisdom, standards and works of the world have been hallowed in the Church as the way of peace, progress and hope. But the Lord in His mercy has heard the cries of the afflicted and poor in the land and withdrawn His anger. The Lord now speaks PEACE to the people though He will yet deal with the wicked. The wicked shall have no place in God’s glory land of Peace, Righteousness and Justice.
O people of God, let us now pray with the Psalmist
Wilt Thou not revive us again
That Thy People may rejoice in Thee
Shew us Thy mercy O Lord,
And grant us thy salvation
Let the Church turn to the Ancient Paths,
The Good way of the apostles and prophets
Even the foundation and cornerstone which is CHRIST
Let the Church raise the Victory Banner of Jesus Christ
Declaring His Salvation,
That glory may dwell in our land
The Salvation of the LORD is nigh
May Mercy and Truth meet together in the Church and everywhere
So, righteousness and peace prosper in the land
Then as the scriptures reveal
“Truth shall spring out of the earth,
And righteousness shall look down from heaven.
Yes, the LORD will give what is good;
And our land will yield its increase.
Righteousness will go before Him,
And shall make His footsteps our pathway”
(Psalm 85:11-13)
The day of Salvation has dawned
The Captivity of the land is over
Let us Unite and Exalt the Lord
Let the living water spring forth
And the rivers flow
So, the Knowledge, Fear and Joy of the Lord
Cover the land as the waters cover the sea.
